We will be serving a 3 course menu which features Clam and coconut chowder, thyme and garlic croutons, Thyme roasted turkey, chilli cornbread stuffing, cranberry and orange relish, Roast sea bass, baby spinach and lobster risotto finishing with Maple glazed pumpkin and pecan pie, pouring cream.
The server could not speak English- they didn’t have wine- blamed Brexit and just an awful experience- realize it was Monday night - no specials. This is really a shadow of itself
This beautifully designed restaurant offers a cosy retreat from the bustle of Covent Garden. The set menu offered excellent value, and featuered varied choices, perfect for pre theatre. Our waitress was friendly and helpful making for a lovely dining experience overall
Most wonderful relaxing romantic space with exceptional service. We will be back regularly.
Brasserie Max offers a comfortable, quiet, calm and embracing dining experience. (In contrast to it’s siblings Ham Yard and ReFuel.) Everything we sampled was well-prepared; the wines very well chosen and the service unobtrusive.
enjoyed new menu and great friendly service, best place in this area
good food and good set menu
Had a really lovely meal, was well looked after! Nothing was too much trouble, will definitely be back.
Was quiet pricey but it is central London, the 2 ££ should be changed to £££
Such a beautiful dining room, great quality food and the menu had lots of choice. There is lovely ambient music playing and we had a great round table in the middle of the room. It feels like a special occasion going there as its so lovely inside. Really recommend it
We will be back!
Nice decor, but service was poor. Waited for very long periods in between courses and the restaurant was not full. Also felt that the food was overpriced. Would not go there again.
favorite place in this area really happy to see you back in service
Good place for an informal get-together. Fancy but fun decor (especially toilets!) but not pretentious, food and service is very good and jazz music playing makes for great ambience.
Beautiful place to stay, eat & drink
The staff were very attentive & welcoming
I will definitely rebook to visit again
Impeccable service, delicious food and a wonderful environment - highly recommend it. Rogerio and his colleague ( so sorry but we didn’t get your name ) we’re brilliant, real assets
Great food and atmosphere
The staff are fabulous and the Brasserie is so elegant
Pre theatre supper of the set menu was absolutely delicious, can’t fault it at all, service exemplary. Very good value for the delicious meal. However found that £16 for a glass of rose wine was extortionate!
Great location- service attentive and really enjoyed the food .
Excellent meal. Delicious food. Prawn and avocado fantastic.. juicy fresh prawns.
Very good service
I went for afternoon tea a few weeks ago and was so impressed I booked for dinner.
We were not disappointed, everything was perfect , table, staff and the food was delicious. Definitely going back .
Very good food and ambience. Quiet atmosphere, nice bar.
Their afternoon tea was a perfect 50th birthday treat. Fabulous service and gorgeous food in a beautiful setting.
Excellent service and delicious food.
Beautiful setting and just wonderful service - the request I put in my OpenTable booking for a specific comment when bringing champagne to the table was perfectly delivered, much to the amazement (and delight) of my friend. It's those touches which make the occasion. Thank you, Brasserie Max!
Lovely, friendly staff. Ans relaxed setting
Lovely service and delicious food.
Vegan options varied and imaginative.
The food was excellent - I had the baked cod, which unfortunately was lacking any carbs. My partner had the lamb, also excellent, but unfortunately lacking any greens. For a meal costing £18-24 per main dish I was slightly disappointed.
However the service was definitely lacking somewhat - we were outside thinking it would be safer in these COVID-times having booked an "outdoor terrace" - it turned out that in the Brasserie Max this actually means the pavement, on tables too small to have a meal on. We asked to be moved inside and were accommodated. However we did have to order drinks twice before any arrived, the waitress did not write our order down and had to come back to ask what it was, we ordered creme brulee and received a fruit crumble, and had to flag down a passing waiter whenever we had to correct something they had gotten wrong. All in all a rather underwhelming meal.
The restaurant itself was fairly COVID-safe, I felt comfortable at all times and did not feel at risk in any way. Restaurants have had a battering this year and I would be happy to give the Brasserie Max another try!
Very expensive for the mediocre food. Very lovely decor , service and atmosphere. Cocktails tasted nice but not for £13. Don't order the ceasar salad , £25 and really didn't taste nice or fresh at all.
I don't recommend
A wonderful lunch. Great food, wines and charming service.
Very good setup in the Covid times. Good table spacing and excellent service. Very nice menu, especially the fixed price menu
My favourite restaurant since 2009 I must have visited over 100 times. The high quality and consistency of the food is the best in London. I have even spent Christmas day here before. Our first place to eat out after lockdown. Thank you!
Friendly and attentive service! Good quality food...in a nice cosy environment! Would recommend it ;)
Superb meal and service. Love this place, always a great atmosphere and lovely service
The service was extremely good, the staff were friendly & very attentive .
The food was excellent and good value.
The location was perfect.
Perfect pre-theatre meal. The set menu is excellent value with a good selection which both my daughter and I enjoyed. The Chicken Schnitzel I had was especially good and my daughter particularly liked the Lemon Tart. Everything was delivered promptly so we were able to enjoy a 3 course meal in less than 90 minutes and get to our show on time.
Love the atmosphere at Brasserie Max and hope to return again sometime soon.
We had a lovely tea for four. Enjoyed the service, the setting and the food. Would definitely return for tea at Brasserie Max -- Covent Garden or for another meal!
unfortunately they seemed to be too busy and were unable to serve us two courses despite having a pre arranged pre theatre booking for 5.45 we were still waiting on our second course at 7.10 and had to cancel it in order to be in Theatre by 7.30. Our waitress explained it was because their " special pre theatre menu`s" had been so successful!!! Which is kind of ironic!
Very good service and food
Good value meal in nice ambience situated near seven dials. Good service and price very good. We had to ask to see set menu which included glass of wine for 3 courses and was excellent standard. I would recommend this restaurant .
Very nice food and drinks
