Brasserie of Light
The centrepiece of the restaurant is a 24ft crystal encrusted Pegasus statue created especially by Damien Hirst, his largest scale artwork in London. Martin Brudnizki consulted on the design, which features bold, colourful and light filled interiors, with an impressive central bar and private dining room. Diners enter the double-height space via an exclusive entrance on Duke Street.
Brasserie of Light serves an eclectic mix of classic British and internationally inspired dishes with an extensive all-day A La Carte menu featuring; breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and weekend brunch alongside wine and cocktails.
From sunrise to late evening, Brasserie of Light offers something for everyone.
Great venue: food is good, and for a reasonable price!
I tried different dessert and cocktails, and it was all the time a good surprise!
2nd visit and the Starters and desserts were delicious. Would def re-visit
We all loved it, great food!
Nice fun ambience, cocktails are delicious and the food good. The service was less than desirable however.
Brasserie of Light is quite beautiful in its design. The bar area and bathrooms are stunning.
The welcome is warm and the food is almost the standard of any of this groups sister restaurants.
Only thing is that I still felt that I was sitting in a department store rather than a high end restaurant.
It’s perfect if you’re shopping and would like a special lunch or dinner, however I would not rush back to eat there again independently of shopping at Selfridges.
Very “in” at the moment this restaurant certainly makes a point of being stylish. Luckily the food was also very good - the starters and desserts especially. Service was excellent. It was a very enjoyable and entertaining lunch!
Lovely brunch although my friend’s drink was forgotten.
It was very nice!
A spectacular place with great staff
Beautiful restaurant, excellent attentive service, delicious food. I highly recommend.
Beautiful restaurant with fantastic decor. Brunch menu was nice but nothing standout. Still a nice experience.
A lot of fun. Good food in a fabulous setting but a few too many covers meant it felt somewhat cramped.
Très beau cadre, belle carte, service attentif et bons plats
Tables too close together
Would defiantly return!!
Very average very loud very noisy .... not a restaurant for us.
We waited 20minutes to order, a further 5/10 when needing to request sauce and a further 20 minutes when requesting the bill before having waited a further 10 mins for the machine. This is my 4th visit and whilst the restaurant was new I was forgiving but this is ridiculous. Slow service and lack of staff. We dined for over £100 and whilst the food is great the service lets it down. Unlikely to return.
Came here for my 21st birthday and I was treated so well. I never write reviews but I felt I needed to for Brasserie! Not only is the food affordable , but the quality and flavours were outstanding. I was also given a free cocktail by the lovely waiter who went out his way to get it for me , he also brought me a tart with a lit candle on it. There was a live dj and every worker greated me and my friends with smiles. So lovely. The restaurant is very beautiful and is located in the perfect spot! I will definitely go again!
Lovely Restaurant! we arrived 20 mins late due to us not finding the entrance but the staff were lovely and got us seated right away! a must to go to with your partner or even friends and family!
Nice but not amazing
Beautiful meal and location, food was perfect , except they tried to charge us for 3 extra gins which we didn’t order and made it feel like we were wrong and not them. Then didn’t apologize after , experience had been 10/10 before that but really killed the mood as we were leaving
It was amazing experience and the staff made it even more special for my husband birthday
Very nicely decorated and presented I would go back again.
We had Pegus afternoon tea which comes spectacularly presented on a smoke of dry ice and food is superb.Highly recommendations.
Love the decor and the food. Only bug bear.... the two person tables are just too close together. Even if you lost one two seater it would give people a bit more privacy and space.
Absolutely loved it. We spent time at the bar, had some lovely cocktails and starters, then were escorted to the table and the meal was simple but very well cooked. I have booked to go back again!
A great place to have lunch or dinner! The menu is good for any taste. The plates were well designed and flavored. It is really worth a return.
I regard this as a top London restaurant but need to change up menu and to be able to adjust menu to accommodate to customers requests.... Not everyone wants chilli and garlic...
Great setting and lovely meal. A bit expensive for what we got but you pay for the setting. Would definitely recommend.
Loved it, already told friends about it , notice you had dj decks, when does he or she play .. will definitely be back...
Good food and service but the restaurant was a bit too noisy and loud. Overall great experience
Service was good and attentive but would have liked more personality. Good for special occasion
My friend recommended this place for birthday dinner, beautiful decor. The food was okay, the Pegasus was super bling and the toilet of marble 😊
this is the second time i have dined her this year and both times have been fantastic. whilst the ambience of the restaurant (with a shout out to the massive damien hirst pegasus sculpture) is obviously breath-taking and is guaranteed to make your instagram grid look amazing, the food and service are also stand out.
i have been for dinner and lunch and on both occasions despite a full house the service has been impeccable and also friendly. the staff know the menu well and offer great advice and also are personable - which you don't always find in the nicer restaurants of london!
As for the food -its brilliant - i'm vegetarian and they have great tasty options and my meat loving friends also gave rave reviews.
If you have friends from out of town that you want to impress but don't want to spend a fortune - take them here for a night to remember.
Cramped, poor service, mediocre food . Good vodka martini. Would not recommend it. Will not return.
Tables are too close to one another, service is poor and the food is average; starters and the side dishes were nice but the mains so so.. Good ambience though, better to come in a group so you get a both and more sitting space. Not sure I'd go back there though, maybe if I'm shopping and would pop in for a drink..
I thought the 30 minute wait for our reserved table at 9:15 was unnecessary. There was no apology for the delay and we were merely directed towards the bar. Nor did they offer to take our coats. Both of our steaks were very undercooked. After I asked for mine to be brought up to medium, it came back well done. Quite disappointing apart from a good atmosphere
Great atmosphere lovely food good service
Wonderful food, beautiful room, service needs a bit of tightening up and the tables are painfully close together.
Couldn’t fault the food. Delicious starters of chicken dumplings and long, paper thin cuts of smoked salmon with rye bread. Stunning blackened cod with a yuzu sauce. Incentive cherry and chocolate desserts. Prices not crazy for really high end, yet generously served courses.
Service needs professionalising a bit - had to remind the waiter to bring things a couple of times. Don’t go if you want privacy - tables uncomfortably close together making it almost impossible to get in and out of your seat without knocking glasses over on the adjoining table. It also meant that the waiters brush up against you when serving the tables on either side of you. I consider this level of table-packing to be greedy.
My friends and I loved the experience ,my friends said they would all come again
The service was great and really attentive.
My waiter heard it was my birthday and bought out a little happy birthday cake - This was a really lovely gesture- Well done Selfridges.
Amazing service with fun lively atmosphere- with great tunes from the Dx!
