Very very average pug grub. The butter chicken reminded me of a Tesco microwave meal and the chicken and leek pie with mash and gravy was very bland and unseasoned. The venue is really nice to be in and the cocktails were nice. Just very underwhelming food, especially because it has Gordan’s name attached to it. Oh yeh and for some bizarre reason they had a huge 50+ inch TV showing Catchphase on it during dinner service. Have no idea what that was about.

Had a good evening with friends. But it did take 1hr 20 minutes to get our starter which seems a bit long. The waitress was brilliant though. All in all a very good evening.

Good was good but a bit pricey for what it was and waitress was great but overall service was very slow. Didn’t put us off so will return for second visit

We were excited by the new opening in Stratford. The building is great and I’ve visited the previous restaurant here many times. Unfortunately the food doesn’t have the mark of a famous chef and is a complete let down !!! At 6pm they only had 2 portions of squid and no sausage and mash for the kids and only one for the adults ! We ordered the squid to start and chicken wings. There were more ‘scraps’ than squid although the squid was tasty when you found it. chicken wings were very good, nice and crispy. For main we ordered 2 chicken roast dinners as we were told they were special as only on a Sunday. The chicken was a huge slab of half a chicken it was dry and barely warm. The waiter asked if everything was ok and our friends said the chicken was dry and cold. They gave hot gravy ! The plate was returned hardly touched the manager didn’t even come over and they didn’t even take it off the bill. Same story with the ribs. All the food had been cooked and stored and not heated up again and so becomes dry and horrible. Not what you expect. The chips were nice and hot ! If you do try this place I would suggest ordering dishes which have to be cooked and served immediately. Like fish and chips. I don’t think much else is cooked fresh. They haven’t really learnt about restaurant demands or how to serve food hot. Very accommodating for the kids. They had run out of portions and so they did a special fish and chips. There are sooo many new openings in this part of Stratford. I think you would get a better meal at one of the main stream chains. Don’t come here for the name. It doesn’t have a touch of a famous chef. It’s always nice to try new openings but we will not be coming back here again or recommend.

I choose the scotch egg, steak and a glass of Gordon’s own Rose wine, the restaurant had none of these available due to a busy day! You don’t expect that from this restaurant. Also the initial service was a bit slow.

This is the 2nd time here and both have been event menus which are vastly reduced. I am not sure if I am missing any notification on this. My friend did find it very hard to find something she liked in fact didn’t order a starter at. All. My only moan.
