Most of the food was ok, however, the pork belly tacos lacked any flavour. Also, the fact that the ‘sharing’ dish only came with three tacos was miserly when it cost £22.
The service was lacking... we had to ask for the menu to be explained - it wasn’t clear how many dishes we should order per person. We sat with empty glasses for the second half of our meal as not one of the three waiting staff who served us asked if we would like a second. We were also not asked how the food was until the waiter cleared our plates at the end of the meal.
Finally, when we declined to pay the ‘optional’ service charge we were asked to explain ourselves
Great casual weekend lunch. The menu was really varied and there was lots of choice - could absolutely go back and eat completely different food next time!
Great spot, creative cocktails and delicious food.
I went a few months ago - it was great.
I went this time and food still tasted good, but the portions had drastically shrunk. I ordered the tacos - compared to the last time I went, they were half the size (not exaggerating)
It was a real shame
We were 15mins but they had a table and the food was nice
Pretty bummed. Loved Breddos as a food truck but just feel it hasn’t translated well. Guacamole was under salted. Queso fundido was too oily (making me think it was lower quality cheese perhaps?) margaritas took twenty mins and it wasn’t busy. Highlight was the esquites. Perfectly seasoned and moreish. I love Mexican food (had a house in Mexico as a kid) and I’ve had better in London. It has some glimmers of lovely flavours but not consistent enough. Won’t return.
I was recommended Breddos after asking for good tacos in London - I wanted to take my mum for lunch - nothing too heavy - It was nice, the baja fish taco was nice, however I wasn't wowed - it was good, but not great & quite expensive for the portion sizes - I was hungry about 2 hours later and I had 4 tacos!
Great food with a bit of spice in each bit. We shared all the taco options among the group and everyone had a few they loved. The grilled steak was also great and a perfect way to finish off the night with drinks.
Loved the vibe here.... a great little find. Barmen were super friendly! And food was delicious. Great selection of Mexican sharing plates. Will be back!
A lovely get-together for my cousins and I. The restaurant stayed true to their word and gave us the table booth as we had specially requested it. The food is so interesting- lot's of different flavours to try.
Very good food and would definitely go back for a third time
the pork belly taco was so dry it was like eating straw. the fish taco could have had more flavour. the fried chicken one was really good. aubergine also lacking flavour. in no rush to go back
An excellent meal. Read a lot about the Clerkenwell beach but very pleased to see they are now in Kingly Street.
Pork skewers were fab, the chili sauce soooo hot and the pork belly was porky with a hint of belly and not belly with a hint of pork.
The Scottish waiter made us very welcome ... Thanks
Good food, but (for a place aiming to serve street food!) 1hr wait for tacos seems excessive. Also prices are on the high side given that we are talking about tacos. On the plus side cocktails and atmosphere are good.
First time visiting and the food was fabulous. Definitely go again but maybe not take the bar top seat as was a tad uncomfortable, for a business lunch.
Overpriced, not very special
The tacos were average; too spicy and the bread was very tough. The margaritas were also very average. We got chucked off our table after an hour and 15 minutes before the next people had even arrived. The restaurant is extremely overpriced for what it is.
Tacos were delicious (Fish, Lamb, Pork , Mushroom)
Aubergine side dish was under seasoned and lacked flavour
We ordered a starter, 2 sets of tacos and the main larger dish.
Our starter was the crab / bone marrow with tacos. There was so much chilli added to this that it killed any other flavour.
The tacos were truly awful - there was no real flavour. The cod taco was like a posh fish finger from All Bar One....
The steak main was the best dish and really the only thing we liked.
The service was bad, no care at all.
It looks like maybe once this place was good but it’s got over confident with it’s pretty weak offer.
I would generally avoid going back here - it felt like a complete rip off.
Food was bland/stale overpriced and small really small portions. Not worth going there
Nachos were small as were the other portions. Nice drinks.
Love this place a great addition to the Clerkenwell location. Soho is bigger with much more seating and a bar and counter area. Food is simple but amazing. Really good quality cooked perfectly. The fried chicken and onglet steak Taco’s were fab. Wine list is limited and explodes in price quickly, they could do better with this.
The food was good and the service was great.
the food isnt as exciting or original as I had expected.
The drinks are excellent
Incredibly tasty food, in a very buzzy setting. Too easy to down the margaritas - so be careful as it all adds up to more than you thought. Will be back though again and again.
Next level tacos and flavours. Tuna tostada was incredible. Great drinks menu and mezcal list
dinner was delicious, service was fantastic and frozen margaritas were sublime.
I was really excited to try this restaurant having followed them on Instagram for months. The cocktails, service, and ambiance are great but the two fish based tacos I ordered were disappointing. They were a bit on the bland side which is not what you’d expect from a taco place.i will say this, the corn was outstanding so based on that I will consider going back and try other menu choices.
Great food - but a 1.5 hr sitting just isn’t long enough
Awesome food and great service. Would definitely go back. Only downside was everything arrived too quickly so we felt a little rushed.
Mediocre food and they rushed you through your meal which is always frustrating
I really enjoyed the tacos at a Breddos. The lamb tacos were especially so so good! The lamb was so tender and yummy!
My boyfriend and I have just moved to london and were very happy when we found this Mexican gem. The food was delicious - the lamb and fish tacos are a must! Although moreish so remember your wallet! €€
Really good food but very crowded
What a lovely little find! I have visited Breddos twice now and I love it! The food (especially the lamb tacos) is absolutely delicious! The criticism I have is that they are very mean on giving out wraps – three small ones per main dish. We had to keep asking for more and they charge for extra which is very annoying.
Delicious food and great service, but the curtain did not insulate the restaurant and the cold wind whipped through every time someone came in, slightly ruining the ambience.
Really tasty food - lots of good quality produce and interesting flavours. However, it was very protein heavy - I would have loved some more veg to balance it. Also, we were definitely recommended to get at least one (big and not cheap) dish too many which is why I have marked service down. Otherwise they were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend and go back again but maybe make some different choices
As Americans Visiting London from our home in Paris we were craving good quality Mexican food (hard to find in Paris). Breddos delivered with great flavor. My family shared many fine dishes the highlight being the lamb barbacoa which was tender and served with warm corn tortillas and excellent salsas. A complaint would be that they served this family style entree with only a few tortillas. We had to keep ordering more and more so it became a bit embarrassing. The service was excellent and they just kept honoring our request. The host, Mani, was especially hospitable making sure my family was seated in a cozy area away from the door during a frigid evening. He seemed to really care about each guest’s experience. It’s a bit cramped in there but that’s part of the lively ambiance. We will look forward to returning next time in London.
Great tacos, excellent service, good selection of drinks. The service was friendly, efficient and attentive without being overbearing at all.
Good fun place to eat and drink, food is certainly flavoursome. Service either felt rushed or you couldn’t get hold of anyone for a while.
I was so looking forward to trying Breddos after hearing great things. I booked a table for 6 and was the first to arrive, greeted at the door by two really friendly guys who brought me to my table. Our waiter was the opposite. Every request was greeted with an attitude and after a long wait for our mains, no explanation was given. He also thought we had finished everything but we were still waiting for one main and a side. At the end, when we decided not to give service charge (and explained the reason being unfriendly service and slow arrival of main dishes) he made no apology and just huffed, as though we were in the wrong.
The cocktails were delicious, and bartender/waiter super friendly. We share the two corn starters which were delicious. Tacos were good but not outstanding. The vegetarian main was mostly just boiled cauliflower. Aubergine side really tasty.
I'll be back to Breddos but just hope to avoid another of London's grumpy waiters.
