Breddos Tacos Clerkenwell
Absolutely awesome! We really loved it - excellent lamb tacos
We're big fans of Breddos, thankfully they've kept the quality consistent so far! The flavours are out of this world - try as many different dishes as you can out of the menu, simple things like the Corn Esquites will surprise you.
The cocktails are excellent too, strong and well balanced.
The only tip I'd give is that there are better sitting options for parties of 4. If you are a couple you're prob going to have a better time sitting at the bar.
Good service. Nice food. Vegetarian options were lacking a bit in flavour but the rest of the menu looked great.
Absolutely delicious flavours come together on 12cm tacos (wish they were bigger! But the Masa fried chicken option is likely the best value for money). The Carne Asada is also amazing and has a different flavour to most of the tacos on offer. Music is also brilliant but it did make conversation slightly more difficult for my friends whose first language isn't English.
Nice place, but food is quite bland for a Mexican with no decent salsa piquante options to compensate.
Love this place - the menu isn't huge, but also a great amount of choice for all tastes. Excellent beer selection, and very accommodating service. When the place is full, there's a great vibe, and when it's empty, you get the chance to speak to the staff who are really knowledgeable and passionate.
Breddos is always amazing! Love regularly coming here for lunch.
They do not serve what is advertised on the website or online. Pretty much only Tacos. They do not serve the fish, octopus, corn, etc that can be seen on adverts/ pictures online.
Otherwise the atmosphere is the best thing to the restaurant.
We chose Breddos for our wedding anniversary dinner. We found the staff really friendly and knowledgeable and the food even better. We will most definitely be back.
Brilliant birthday lunch at Breddos Tacos
Great cocktails, delicious food and friendly service. The tacos were unbelievably good as was the barbacoa. Would definitely go back.
Having booked through open table we arrived to a small very quiet restaurant. There were 2 small tables, one of which getting ready to leave. Theee members of staff were stood chatting in the back corner and one begrudgingly came over to greet us.
I informed her of our reservation and she literally shrugged and pointed to the 2 nearest seats to her- small bar stools directly next to the door, facing the wall. Myself and my partner looked at each other in confusion for a few seconds as the girl walked away and left us standing exactly in front of the door as we had been initially.
We asked her back over and politely requested another table, for example one the previous party of two we’re leaving from. I must stress this was an empty restaurant. She rudely told us “No we have bookings” and walked away again.
Having made the reservation only a short time earlier and seeing that the next few hours time slots seemed readily available, I struggle to believe this is the case.
I understand that as a party of 2 we should be understanding but the place was practically empty and the staff so rude about the whole thing when they could actually be bothered to communicate with us.
In the end we decided to go elsewhere as we were made to feel like such a burden on the staff. I have heard good things about the food, however I don’t expect to walk into a restauraunt and be made to feel so unwelcome.
Went on Saturday lunchtime and there was no lunch menu, just a limited evening menu. The food was very much Mexican cafe in delivery and taste, but not in price. It was okay, nothing special.
Nice food. As close as you'll get to Mexican tasting food in London. Be ready for tiny tacos and London prices.
Make a reservation, they get busy.
Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere, thank you. Will definitely go back for a scrumptious lunch.
Took a little while yo order after we’d sat down, but then the food came so fast. Really delicious, and a good price. £60 for 2 people with wine
Always a winner. Great tacos assured and a super ambience and soundtrack.
Nice food, nice atmosphere and good service. Portions are small which enables you to sample lots of different tacos but means the wallet takes a bit of a hit if you've got a healthy appetite.
Fantastic authentic Mexican inspired food with a twist as only Breddos knows how. Great prices for the quality of the food, with the exception of the cocktails which are slightly overpriced for what you get. Overall a great place to go and have a fun evening!!
🌮🌮🌮I♥️U 4EVA, 🌮🌮🌮🌮
The food was amazing and the service was great - the staff were really nice about our surprise birthday dinner! Thanks.
Great food, very relaxed and friendly
Breddos is a great place for a quick bite as well as a more extensive meal. The food is really delicious and different from a lot of Mexican places around London. Some dishes are more traditionally Mexican, other more adventurous.
Fantastic food and atmosphere - service could have been friendlier.
Loved the food, energy and service, wish there were more 'proper' tables as sitting at the bar wasn't the comfiest but otherwise fab
Chilled and fun place perfect for a casual dinner and catch up with friends. Food was great and reasonably priced. I will recommend you must order the tuna tostada, sweet potato tacos and fish tacos!
Being from the Southwest US, We were in the mood for some tasty tacos and we found them at Beddo’s. We ordered chips and salsa and were concerned at the small size of fried corn tortillas and tiny bowls of house made salsa, but both the salsa and the tacos, though they small, were loaded with tasty ingredients and proved to be filling. I recommend the fish tacos. carne Assad’s tacos, and meat quesadilla. (Vegetarian version available) I found a beer on tap that tasted Corona-like as soon as I squeezed and dropped a lime wedge into the glass.
The best tacos in London! My only criticism was that the tie between tacos (the dishes come out when they're ready) was a bit long, so one of us was eating while the other one watched... but it's delicious so we let you off!!
We walked to Breddos having been to the Barbican cinema. On a Saturday night the area was quiet and the restaurant is a good find if you don't want to face the madness of Old Street. The staff were super-charming and helpful and the space is relaxed and attractively done out with a big communal table and bar-style seating. The tacos are a riot of flavours with plenty of interesting seasonings, like the peanut mole, which take them beyond the ordinary. The baja fish tacos were our favourite and melt-in-the-mouth lovely. It's not cheap – £6 for 5 admittedly nice homemade tortilla chips and guac is a bit steep – so it's food for savouring rather than for wolfing down.
After several lunch visits, decided to introduce my better half to BT and for us both to try out the Dinner Menu... we were certainly not disappointed , amongst many of the dishes that we tried, would probably have to place the sashimi Tuna Tostada at the very top of the pile... Esquites Con Mesa Y Nduja continue to be a firm favourite 🎶 I was pleasantly surprised by the Coctel De Cafe - Didn’t imagine that I would enjoy an Agave Inspired ‘Espresso Martinez’ As much as I did, handcrafted in front of you and as pokey as you would like... 🙃 Muy Bien y hasta prossima ☝️
Excellent! I'm a regular and every single time I have an amazing evening at Breddos.
Always great there. Probably my 5/6 time.
Overall a nice experience. Food was tasty. Found it difficult at times to attract the attention of staff as the restaurant was busy and there appeared to be a lot of take away’s going out the door too. The staff were pleasant on my dealings with them. A nice quick meal but wouldn’t rush to go back. Prefer DF Mexico for tacos.
I love Breddos! Best taco place in London. The staff really make it but the cocktails and food are awesome too.
The quality of their tortillas was terrible - soggy, tasteless, stale - just like old cardboard. Some of the food was so salty it was completely inedible, but when we raised this with waitstaff, they shrugged and said that the chef just maybe sprinkled a bit too much on. I had to spit it out because it was THAT salty. Toppings were low quality, apart from the fried chicken. Extremely disappointed, overall.
Good service, lovely food, great atmosphere and decent portion size/price ratio. We didn’t leave hungry.
Delicious fresh tacos, bursting with flavour and ideal size portions.
Great for sharing/trying lots of different ones.
Great cocktails too and not too expensive.
My first experience here an loved it! Great menu as you can try a few things. I ordered the Tuna tostada which was my favourite, then the lamb shoulder taco which was so tasty, then the fish taco which was really fresh, and finished my the pork taco which was a real disappointment, very bland and dry.... should’ve gone for the steak taco instead. We also ordered some tortillas with guacamole, which were really tasty, but you only get about 5/6 tortilla chips and for £6 I would like a few more. Overall a really great experience and would definitely return.
Loved this place. Great vibe, food and drinks
Great place. Delicious guacamole with warm chips. Attentive service. Good music.
