Breddos Tacos Clerkenwell
The staff were lovely and the menu was great, well considered flavours. The restaurant was quiet and they were extremely flexible and obliging to our needs. A great team and great tacos!
Food was great - if anything came a little too quickly as we were in at a quiet time. Not a place to linger, but brilliant pre event spot.
The space is very cramped, they tried to squeeze us into the tightest spot in the corner of the bar area. The server made some mistakes, she apologised but got quite defensive about it, they did rectify the issues. It's an average e I'd say, not very affordable for what it is.
Service was very good. Very nice and tasty tacos. Sharing plates can do with couple more tortillas, but there is an option to pay for more. Cosy atmosphere and just nice vibe.It was good experience and we will go back.
There are very few places to eat around the Barbican but this is a nice, cheap option. It was dead on the weekend, given it's Clerkenwell, but the food was good.
Amazing food, amazing service, great music and feel, amazing experience!
The food was really lovely and fresh. Nice selection and some lovely cocktails
Amazing little spot, food full of flavour and great service and atmosphere, would defiantly go again!
Delicious food and an equally as impressive cocktail offering.
Went for the “bottomless” brunch of unlimited tacos and drinks, except the service was slow we maybe got three drinks each in the time allocated, and the food came out even slower and was missing things we ordered.
Waitresses were rude and would blatantly ignore us. Would not recommend to anyone.
Great food! The margaritas in particular were very tasty. Could do with a bit more seating...
Plenty of other options to sit but placed in the middle of the main (empty) table. Everything else booked - we had booked too!
Food was great but £80 for tacos for 2 is ridiculous.
Unlikely we’d go again.
4 of us were hoping for a fabulous brunch experience last sunday. But they didn't have a majority of the food or alcohol options on their pre-fix (eat all you want tacos) Sunday brunch menu and even though coffee was part of what was on offer as part of this prefix brunch menu, they made us wait for 15 mins to tell us that they has run out of coffee, no apologies, nothing. 1 of the 5 taco options never arrived despite of asking twice. Of the 4 different beer & cocktails on offer as part of the drink all you want option, only beers were available and they were only able to serve 1 of the 2 frozen margaritas we asked for. They then tried to charge us full price on the "unlimited alcohol" option when two of us had only ordered 1 drink each (and we had specifically asked if this would be ok at the start of the service). They eventually begrudingly agreed to correct the bill, but we left feeling that we just didn't get the value for what we paid for. The nonchalance of the server when questioned about all this was just disgraceful. Never going back (even though the tacos that did manage to serve were delicious).
Great atmosphere, vibe and service. Food good, but slightly overpriced for what you get.
I am from Arizona in the US and often struggle to find good Mexican food in London - I loved this place!! Amazing food, good margaritas. One of my new favorites in London.
Great food, good wine on tap. The reason why I can’t rate it higher is that the place isn’t cosy enough for me. Nowhere to leave my coat, chairs far too narrow together, was quite uncomfortable.
Delicious food and a great atmosphere, would especially recommend the tostada with tuna!
nice ambience, authentic but with a modern twist Mexican tacos - pricier than other taco places but the quality is unmatched. If you catch them during happy hour as well 1 taco is £3. Overall, the food, service and experience were great. I'd recommend
Very good service. Menu was unclear about one of the quesadillas we were sharing having meat in. We mentioned this to a waiter and she cancelled the item from our bill and let us keep it (only one of us is vegetarian).
Tacos are fresh and spicy. A reliable spot that we enjoy visiting time and time again.
I was expecting Mexican tacos but realized it wasn’t going to be like that upon arrival. It’s fine if it’s fusion food but it didn’t even taste that great. They could’ve really added more spices if that’s what they were going for. It almost tasted like Peruvian food with the tuna tostada but I was so tempted to ask them for lime because the food was just so bland. To think I paid £24 for some nachos and tostadas without even getting an alcoholic drink.... it really blows my mind. The restaurant is also so small. I sat next to the cashier and door. The waitress was always beside me tapping on that EPOS machine or reservation system.
I only gave it a 3 star overall experience because the waitresses were so nice and smiley the entire evening. But let’s be real, I didn’t go to Breddos for the waitress.
For the bottomless
The choice of tacos was veeery limited, average quality and resulted very expensive (£60 for two people). It’s street food, with fried chicken and fried fish, should be half that... Wahaca and Taqueria are fairer
We had an excellent meal - the tacos were all spot on, some great beers, and the staff were lovely.
The food is very fresh and while it's tasty and well prepared I didn't find it very exciting. I think some items in the menu like the quesadillas are overpriced. The service is excellent though, attentive and friendly.
Breddos was amazing, as always. It's the third time we've been and this time to try the Bottomless Brunch and it was so worth it. The food is really nice, the service was great too and it was practically empty on a Sunday which was a good surprise. Definitely will be back soon!
The food, drink & service could not be faulted, however, we did feel the menu was misleading and very expensive for the amount of food/drink. We had a selection of 5 tacos, plus 2 additions and 2 drinks which came to £100 for two people. The waitress kindly changed the bill so we just paid for the drinks and not additional round of tacos. Worth going along, but the sunday tacos are expensive and not good VFM.
Spectacular bottomless taco brunch. The tortillas were small but the fillings were massive. Great big pieces of fish and chicken. The salsas were perfectly spicy. We never had to wait to order more drinks or food. I will definitely be returning. Great value for money.
If you are looking for a place to eat the best Tacos in town, just come to Breddos. Absolutely loved all the dishes we ordered especially the sea bass and fried fish tacos, had so much flavour in it, definitely going to teleport you to Mexico with the experience. :)
It’s not what it used to be! Huge portions and great value on the brunch deal but the quality just isn’t the same. They are absolutely some of the best tacos in London but they lack that special extra something they used to have - micro herbs were a big part of the flavour and shame to see cost cutting to a huge pile of chopped coriander instead. The glory days are gone!
The tacos here are amazing!!!! One of the absolute best in London. ..we love the Margs too :)
Overall loved it but it was a little cramped eating at the bar. I will be recommending it.
Chaotic place, just to pass through and stay in 30 mins.
Not for a completed dining. Tacos were good but not real crispy tacos.
Breddo's used to have outstanding mexican food...which is hard to find in London. I'm not sure what happened, but their menu changed, the quality of the food changed, and it is now really not as special. Even the margaritas were bascially flavourless.
What a shame!! :(
Great Margaritas and amazing Tacos - some of the best Mexican-fusion food in London!
Great food with great service. Great place if your looking for tacos.
Every morsel was absolutely delicious!
Service and food is normally awesome here, but I got ignored by waiting staff for 25 mins and chef eventually served me. Food is great but sort it out please
The Fried Chicken, Pork and Fish Tacos were amazing!! I advise spending time trying all of them and sitting back to enjoy the food coma. Great atmosphere also.
Food was good, but the manager came up to us while we were eating and TOLD us ,(didn't ask, or say please or thank you) that we had to move table to another table to make space for a larger group. I had 3 mouthfuls left of my meal, so decided to finish those first, and while I was my last mouthful the waitress came over and said "we need you to move now" (again no please or thank you). So then we moved, but no help was offered to carry some of our things like water jugs, glasses, etc. By the time we had done all that, the large group who were waiting for the table realised how poorly it had been handled and then THEY started apologising and thanking us because I think they felt a bit awkward, but still no word from the staff. We then got ignored at the new table, never offered more drinks or anything else to eat, so eventually I asked for the bill and found it had 12.5% service added on automatically for me! I did not pay it.
