Breddos Tacos Soho
Fantastic service and great decor but I have to say I felt mixed feelings about the food. Gaucamole was delicious and moreish as were the sweet potato tacos. However I found £8.50 to be over-priced for two small tacos especially as Wahaca serves 3 equally tasty ones for under a fiver. The black bean tacos were fiery but last depth of flavour and just a bit non-descript. Really enjoyed the beetroot tostada but again feel this is over-priced. There is only one white wine at £30 and didn't go well with the food. Good wine list and more value for money might draw me back but Wahaca wins on more levels.
I didn't think the food lived up to expectations. The chicken and fish tacos were disappointing, with very little taste and too big for the very small tacos. The lamb tacos were delightful but it wasn't enough to improve the overall experience.
Tacos were great, the beers are quite overpriced though considering they are bottles.
Service was very very slow. Food was nice but very overpriced.
We were very excited to come here as had been recommended. We were told to choose where to sit and weren’t even offered water or a drink within 15 mins of sitting down- we had to ask to order. Then the waiter got order wrong, kindly took some off the bill but food was disappointing. Will come again just for the tacos but to wait half an hour for quick food was a little slow.
Delicious and inventive twists on classic recipes. I especially loved the corn with haberno mayo and nduja. Super friendly staff who make you feel very welcome, you can tell they’re rightly passionate about Mexican cuisine too
Great quick delicious lunch :-)
Delicious food as always. The tuna is outstanding!!!
Good/great food. Excellent service. Great vibe
Fish & Chicken Tacos !!!! Must try
the food was great, not big portion sizes so be aware when ordering. the venue is lovely but very cramped, bit of an issue if you have lots of bags. Good service and great atmosphere.
The tacos were only just ok. They were too full and were difficult to eat. The best thing about the meal was the Happy Endings ice cream sandwich for desert.
Great location and fun buzz. Small venue so not great if you have a buggy. They do not accept opentable dining cheques.
Fantastic date night. Great food, cozy/relaxed atmosphere, and very friendly staff who offered delicious suggestions. The only detail that was a slight disappointment was the size of the classic margarita (happily, my drink was the only part of our night that was laughably small). Tiny margaritas aside, highly recommend for a nice evening out!! Looking forward to our next visit! Many thanks
Continuing my taco obsession, now my friend has one too. Awesome food Breddos!
Amazing food and good recommendations from staff.
Nice mix of taco options
Good food overall. Decently priced. Problem I see is the menu is small and after a couple visits you would have tried everything.
Great relaxed service, yummy Mexican lunch and especially enjoyed the Margaritas. Thanks very much.
Had a small Birthday meal here over the weekend. The tacos were delicious and the service impeccable. Some of the people in my group had allergies so the chef came out and sat down with us to explain who can have what on the menu 👌🏻
Find Mexican a tough one in London - wasn’t super authentic, but really good none the less, tacos were great. Will definitely be back.
Tacos were decent but breddos have recently changed their menu- decreasing the portion sizes but maintaining the same price
Firstly I think Open Table is hugely to blame for not flagging that the restaurant closes so soon after booking. You can even book a table for the exact time the place closes which is so ridiculous.
I’ve never known a restaurant to close at 8pm in central London so didn’t check the closing times. I know this is partly my fault but with technology these days there really should be a warning like when Google Maps tells you somewhere will be closing soon after you arrive.
I’m a big fan of Breddos and have eaten at the Old street branch many times but this experience was a massive disappointment.
I’d selected that it was an anniversary when booking but it did not feel special and we were in and out quicker than a fast food restaurant. We didn’t know what time the kitchen was closing until after we’d ordered, when the waiter reminded us three times that they were shutting the place down. We felt so rushed and pressured that we asked for our last tacos to be wrapped for takeaway. £62 for tacos and 2 soft drinks and we were pushed out of the place in 25 minutes. £6 for a bowl of guacamole and about 8 tortilla chips. Very disappointed
yuka fries, chips & guacamole were so good! I loved the pork and brisket tacos however the fish taco was soggy.
Samy was our waitress and was AWESOME!!! She was super professional and friendly and on point. She knew what she was serving us and told us about Breddos Tacos as a company etc. Samy is the kind of waitress every restaurant should have. She provided top notch service which is rare in London.
I went back a second time and the service was bad, I think the host was a talk French guy who was rude. Total different experience!!
Thank you for the free Ice Cream Sandwich with candle on our anniversary!
The food is not as stunning as it was when Breddos first opened in Soho. I’ve over-ordered too, on the advice of the service staff and I don’t think that was right. Ambience was good and the birthday cake for my friend a very nice touch. Thank you!
Such good value
Really enjoyed it great place for friends
Disappointing service from the restaurant. The waiter was awkward and quite scatty.
Food was great but expensive in comparison to other Mexicans in London.
The one on Old street is really good - the food here was nowhere near as good.
Gorgeous little bar area downstairs to wait for table. Bar lady made an excellent Tommy’s margarita. They re seated us upstairs as it was very loud which was good for me as I was struggling to hear the conversation!
Food yummy. Staff helpful. Would definitely go again.
Decent food but very overpriced. Terrible wine options.
Great food! Used to frequent them when they were a pop up, and been to clerkenwell as few times. Excellent food. Setting is a little cramped but hopefully they expand in time
Great food but overpriced for what they offer. You could spend £30-40 and still feel hungry. However, the food is top tier and the service is fantastic. Great restaurant but value for money isn’t the best.
Great atmosphere, staff really friendly and helpful, loved the music, food good, cocktails strong!
Firstly, despite having a booking we were made to wait in the doorway. There were plenty of empty tables that were laid and ready for people to be seated but instead we were told to wait until 20 mins after our booking time.
Secondly, you didn’t have two of the drinks I ordered in stock. If they aren’t in stock, your staff should be informed of that or menus changed accordingly.
Finally, when the food arrived, I can’t explain how flavourless and bland everything was. The meat was dry, the tortillas had clearly been left under a heat lamp and had hardened, nothing was seasoned at all and the overriding taste was the pickles (as that’s the only thing that had an ounce of flavour).
The bill came to £40 which was reasonable if it was a nice experience but I honestly left feeling disappointed and resentful of paying.
The only saving grace was the gentleman that bought over our drinks and the lady who served our food, both were delightful and attentive.
I most certainly will not be returning to Breddos and only thought it was right to let you know of your restaurant’s failings from last night in the hopes that you rectify it so no other customer has the same experience.
Delicious food and awesome service, I visited with a few girlfriends and we had a great time. Drinks are very good too!
The service was good. The Team were friendly, but the food was slllllooooooowwww and not great. I had been looking forward to trying this place, but was unfortunately a bit of a let down.
Good food, and quick service. Nice environment for a week night dinner!
We came on the day before their menu changed and so half of the menu wasn't available as they'd run out of everything, and we were not pre-warned. We could only choose from 3 taco options and felt extremely rushed to eat and order, and similarly they rushed our drinks orders as well. They gave us the bill and kicked us out pretty quickly!!
It's a shame as the food we did have was so delicious I just wish we could've had more time to enjoy it and felt a bit more valued!
Had been really looking forward to trying Breddos out. When we arrived the menu was reduced to just 10 items - apparently they were transitioning the menu? Lots of things I'd been looking forward to ordering weren't available, in particular some of the cheaper menu items like chicharones/skins/sweetbreads etc. weren't on which meant it was difficult to order lots without cost being prohibitive. If the menu is changing it should be updated on apps like Opentable as it misleads customers and gives them false expectation.
Food was great, just disappointed with number of options on revised menu.
