Perfect Lunch - the specials were really delicious ( asparagus, cod and lamb) and service was superb
Really good French food in a lovely atmosphere. Very attentive service. Overall loved it.
Ordered pinot noir, got Côtes du Rhône instead, but servers wouldn't mention, just brought, thought one wouldn't notice, i presume. the main dish was not served warm/hot, had to send it back to kitchen. Service really is so and so...Food is tasty but can enjoy really when not warm.
Cocktails amazing !
Food excellent Great value
Another delightful dining experience at Bresson.
Excellent dining experience.
Food was excellent and menu had great choices.
Food was good but not great, too expensive, same fillet steak next door in FXB would cost about a €10
Very well kept premises with fast service and friendly staff. I will go again.
Main Course was exceptional, dessert was very average. I strongly object to having to walk through smoking tables to get to the main restaurant and Reception - if it had not been our anniversary I would have turned away.
Disappointing. The hake reminded me of boil-in-the bag cod from my youth. The wine was crazily overpriced. The multiple servers all seemed to project they’d like is gone.
Lovely food. The staff are great.
Friendly attentive Bistro atmosphere with fine food. Geat combo.
Sunday lunch was great. However it was far from relaxing given the noise levels exacerbated by large family groups who tended to ignore any control. Weekend parents perhaps. But would give it another go. Our waitress was brilliant and the food excellent- just needed ear plugs
Most enjoyable, excellent food and friendly service.
We were a part of four, and we all enjoyed a very pleasant eve there...lovely Early Bird Menu, courteous staff, lovely Gruner Vintlinger Austrian white wine, food served at perfect eating temperature, overall a very pleasant experience...
Fantastic food and great service, second time there in a month and will be back.
Lovely meal with my parents for my birthday! Staff amazing and food stunning! Would highly recommend and will 100% be back. Shona
Excellent. They get the simple things right that so many get wrong (customer care, welcome, menu knowledge, table setting, etc.) and deliver brilliantly when it comes to the most important elements of a great restaurant, the Food & Service. Très Bien!
I lunched with an old school friend on Sunday. We arrived early which was not a problem. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The scallops were delicious, my friend had the chicken which she loved. Deserts were fab. Portion size was good.
I had been there before at night with my husband. We will go again.
Went to Bresson for first time, 2 couples. Beautiful restaurant and the food was excellent. I had the mushroom on toast starter and the scallop main and they were both second to none. Others had the steak frittes and red snapper and all said it was delicious. Dessert was lovely too and wine was very good. The only let down was the service, the waitress was practically part of our table by the end, we knew more about her than we did about each other. The other waiter / possible owner seemed very stressed and leaned over us all to give dishes to other side of table. A few noticeable no no's for a fine dining restaurant. In saying that, the food was amazing and I will definitely go back and would recommend to friends.
Bresson is a great restaurant with excellent service and great food.
Lovely food, friendly service in a good location. Ambience was also good
Lovely Sunday lunch
Very friendly greeting. Efficient service. Food very nicely presented and very tasty. Very reasonable price for the quality. All of us very happy to recommend Bresson.
This was our second time eating here, and the food was excellent both times. The reason I only gave a 4 star this time was because of the service. We were seated upstairs, which is ok, but with about 40 customers eating, there were only 2 excellent members of staff serving. This may have been a problem unique to that night, but this was not communicated. The service was excellent when it arrived, but painfully slow.
60th birthday celebration, advised restaurant in advance with specific instructions for no singing etc.... well dessert arrived with singing... agh!
Staff pleasant but casual. Need to sharpen service ( over familiar, sloppy service).
Very good French food. Excellent service. Wine list a little pricey.
We were due to head to Ranelagh on Saturday evening last. Unfortunately, due to a sick child issue, we had to call to cancel our 'beer and nachos' planned casual dinner. Once baby was settled (an hour and a half later) we decided to stroll to Monkstown Crescent to see what we could get to eat at 9pm. Prior to leaving we googled Bresson and saw that a few slots had opened up on Open Table. We had an amazing meal - Chicken dish with a steak frites dish. Far better than our original plan. The staff were busy but very accommodating and professional, the food was perfectly presented and delivered efficiently to our table. We opted to have a main course and a dessert (creme brulee and Trifle) with tea afterwards. We had a lovely bottle of Riesling (which is also available as a house glass) and then adjourned (by choice) to the courtyard for post dinner drink. We will be back to Bresson and fully intend to work through the rest of the menu over time. We both had food jealousy looking at the fish dishes in the vicinity. It is clear that the place is well liked/loved by the other diners and the ambience is really excellent. It is clear that there are possible four places in the restaurant to be seated, so a place for everyone. We were delighted to be accommodated as we were so late in the evening for what we know to be a busy restaurant. Well done to the staff, front and back of house. It's definitely a class act and worth visiting.
Had high hopes for the restaurant, the food however was lacking. The starters were very basic and nothing special (and very over priced). I had the steak as a main which was cooked perfectly and very good. Unfortunately dessert was also underwhelming, the sticky toffee pudding at €12 was very pedestrian and expensive. I would save your money and go to salt down the road.
I was with my elderly parents. The staff were attentive and kind. That was greatly appreciated. I think they may visit themselves now. Food was also good and the atmosphere strikes a lot of good notes.
Really enjoyed our evening in Bresson. Service was excellent, food was beautiful & delicious. The atmosphere is just right & the decor is very reminiscent of a French bistro (which I presume is what they were aiming for). Lovely attention to the details, in terms of menus, cards, etc. We had a lovely waitress who was working her first night there but certainly didn't seem like first night as wait staff as she was very friendly & professional.
I had a dinner with my girlfriend in Bresson and all what I can say is that is one of the best restaurants in Dublin. Great easygoing and professional staff. Place looks cozy and very nice; and food is fantastic, well presesnted and tasty. You don’t get to often places where everything is absolutely perfect.
Great food, service and atmosphere. The early bird option and price must be the best value out there! Really enjoyable.
Outstanding food in a comfortable and well-lit room, look forward to my next food.
Super food with the starters being a particular highlight carb brûlée is excellent. Will be back
Initially waited for order to be taken.
Starters were fine.
Sat with starter plates for ten to fifteen mins after we finished.
Waited again ten to fifteen for mains which had been under lights somewhere.
Ring of grease on plate from pork belly.
Coquiills jaques was a mess.
Slow service. Poor quality.
Food was absolutely fabulous, and worth the pricetag. Service needs work.
A welcome addition to the neighbourhood.
Conor and his team have gotten it right. Really well executed food, lovely atmosphere and superb service.
