Out with family for a birthday meal. We had the Sunday evening menu which is mostly a Sunday roast ( but lots of options). Perhaps would not have chosen this in retrospect but the food was all very good, beautifully presented, and generous portions, especially the mains.
Service was excellent, helpful and cheerful staff and no mistakes. The drinks were also generous. Pricing is quite high but the quality of cooking is very good.
Looking forward to set price menu midweek, which makes this pub restaurant well worth visiting more often!
Sunday Linch with loveky extra options!
Delicous choices and food.
I used to bunk away from school to come & play bar billiards here & drink beer. 40 years later I return to a gastropub. It was seriously good & up to central London standard. I would recommend it highly, unless you want to play bar billiards, which is sadly no longer there...(but even before you needed a 6d piece to activate it - the bar charged for it!). Mike.
The service was friendly and efficient. the food was very good.
We came for lunch as we were recommended the Bricklayers Arms by several people. Easy booking via opentable, called ahead to let them know we were running 15mins late which was no issue. Free parking outside the pub.
We went for starters and mains which were all delicious. My only complaint would be the king prawns starter was on the small side for the price, but the duck terrine was delightful. Very happy with the turbot and duck duo.
Unfortunately had to dash out as we had a time constraint, but will be back to try the rest of the menu!
Food excellent really tasty starters and main courses. Sweets lovely
Superb place to eat. Great food, great service. Very enjoyable. Have been before and will certainly go again.
My sister suggested this place to us and we were not disappointed ! The best service I have had in a long time …. Food was spectacular and service genuine and all staff attentive and efficient … will definitely go again .. a real gem …
Beautiful weather doubtless helped but we enjoyed a fine lunch here, sitting in the garden. Rather than mains, we opted for a few starters between 2. All were excellent, the 'skinny fries' were not, as you might expect, McD's style fries - truly superb, and I speak as a chip aficionado. The only possible criticism was that the crab mousse was a little on the bland and under-seasoned side - but in combination with the smoked salmon, blinis and creme fraiche it all worked. Generally super food, perhaps not in the bargain range but I guess that's what you would expect. Charming service too. Highly recommended.

Most enjoyable. Food, service all excellent. We want to try the Sunday lunch soon.
Always excellent food and atmosphere. Always reliable.
The food is excellent, the staff really attentive without overdoing it.,I would definitely do most of my celebrations there.
Fabulous food but with sadly little veg. Would be good to have more veg in view of the price.
But lovely place - a real find for us
Lovely food and friendly helpful service. Was able to sit outdoors on a warm night.
This was the first time my husband and I have eaten in the Bricklayers Arms and was very impressed with how lovely the pub its self was and the quality of the food and friendly service. We will be back soon.
Fantastic restaurant. Food is excellent, venue is delightful and staff are very pleasant. We will be returning very soon.
