Bridgets Filet Mignon
Another fabulous meal at our favorite steakhouse restaurant. We brought two friends here for their first time and they were blown away with the extensive menu selections and the quality of the food. Bernard, our server, was just awesome and catered to our every need during dinner !
We went out to Bridget's with another couple that has never been there. We had a wonderful dinner. The drinks were delicious and the service was great. The place was very lively and fun. Cant wait to go back.
Paula was amazing!
Ordered chicken and it was very dry!
Small portion and poorly prepared.
Ambler Restaurant Week. Very good meal. Prix fixe. Appetizer, main, dessert
Food and service were great. Unfortunately, it was way too loud to hear each for holding a conversation.
Great place- just noisy as hell. Maybe some cork in the ceiling? Lots of windows I think help to amplify the sound. Good and service is great- decent cocktails and bottled wines are really good.
I had my birthday dinner here with my boyfriend. Service was quick and friendly, food was also tasty and there was no issue with changing sides on our dishes. I would definitely come back and dine again. We didn’t have dessert because I had a cake at home, but they acknowledged my birthday.
Always a great time at Bridget’s. Excellent service by Kelly L. Did a wonderful job celebrating my twins 18th birthday. Thank you. I am sure we will be back.
Had the price fixe menu for restaurant week. Crab cake, filet and cheesecake. All was prepared to order and very food. One of our people sent the salmon back cause it was cold but they discussed it with her and refired it and she was very happy. They didn’t just tell her what they would do they discussed it with her to make sure it was acceptable to her. Kudos on the great customer service. All businesses make mistakes. Great businesses solve the problem and move on.
The food here is consistently good and delicious. The staff are friendly and courteous, and the overall dining experience is wonderful.
We went fir Restaurant Week and the food was very good but the portions were very small. The filet was about an ounce and very thin. I guess fir the price ($39 fir 3 courses) it’s fair but Restaurant Week is supposed to wow you and give you more bang for your buck
Despite the fact that the restaurant was crowded due to downtown Ambler's restaurant week, we receive excellent food and outstanding service from our attentive server. My crab appetizer and filet mignon were cooked to perfection. Also, my husband's chicken entree was delectable.
Our food and service were outstanding. The noise level was deafening, we could not hear a word anyone was saying which was very disappointing since this was the first time we were able to get together since before covid, would suggest take out.
The food was delicious as usual and Paula was an excellent waitress. She was very personal and attentive along with the rest of the staff.
Not the Bridget's I remember. Too many things came late, needed reminding, attention to our detail was just not there. Expensive restaurants should be providing much better level of service. Did not even ask us if we wanted coffee?? Got water, never refilled?
BY far, Bridgets is our favorite go to place. The food is consistently perfect - and their bartenders make great cocktail!
We've been to Bridget's a few times in the past and always had good experiences. Unfortunately this time was an exception. Our waitress was BEYOND slow. We had our waters within a minute of sitting down, but she didnt come back to take drink orders or appetizers for 15 minutes. The meal itself was also disappointing and didn't live up to this restaurant's typically high standard.
Appetizer: The calamari was very tough (although the sauce was fantastic and kinda made up for it). 3 stars.
Salads: We both had the Caesar salad, and both agreed it was good. The portion might have been a tad small, but thats OK. 4.5 stars.
Entrees: The Ahi Tuna was very good - 5 star. On the other hand, the Filet was one of the worst I've ever had in any restaurant. This "Center Cut USDA Prime Filet" came out in a very unexpected shape, so red flags were raised immediately. It was actually cooked well as far as coloration, which added to my confusion with the taste. It was one of the toughest pieces of meat I've eaten in a long time. It ate like a sirloin - not a tender, delicate filet. I'm not sure if I was actually served a sirloin (not sure how that would be possible, its not even a menu item) or if it was just a very low grade filet. Either way, very unsatisfactory. If I was one for confrontation, I would have brought it up with the manager, but a) he never came around to check on us, and b) I'd prefer to just move along and not deal with it. Rating for the filet: 1 star.
So after the lackluster entrees, the slow service continued. After our meals we sat with empty glasses for well over 10 minutes (honestly might have been close to 20 min) before the waitress finally came to ask if we wanted deserts. We declined and asked for the check. We would have easily purchased more food and drink here - we were planning to move to the bar after dinner, but after the experience we just wanted to go somewhere else - so we proceeded with dessert and drinks elsewhere.
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to food was fast and hot out waiter was awesome look forward to my next visit
Great lunch with the window wide open
The service was incredibly slow. We never received our drinks to go with dinner. Water was never refilled. The wait staff needed to be flagged to get any attention. At least they wrote off the refill drink order since it did not arrive until dessert. Considering it was a Thursday night and only 30% full that was very disappointing.
So here is a question - we made our reservation through open table, arrived on time, and were seated at a 2 person table directly next to the kitchen door, servers station, and bathrooms. We asked to be moved and we were cheerfully accommodated - moved to another 2 person table directly behind the hostess station, another high traffic spot.
We watched several 2 person parties arrive and get 4 person tables in low traffic spots. There were plenty to choose from as the place was not at capacity.
Are the crappy spots reserved for open table res specifically? Next time I’m calling the restaurant directly to see if it makes a difference.
Your drinks arrived late, Agreed - not at dessert, and were comped - Please don't exaggerate in reviews as we were busy - There is a lot more planning that goes into "giving others a 4-top" Most of those people have been told to be out by a certain time or had special occasions. Even still, their requests are sometimes not met. Your reservation had neither requests nor notes indicating such time limits thus you were seated at the appropriate table so you could enjoy your dinner, at your pace.
Had a great experience. Waitress went above and beyond to make our time pleasurable.
Great food and service. Best ahi tuna anywhere.
Exceptional dinner. Haven't been there in about 8 months.
We cannot thank Bridget's staff enough for going above and beyond to make this night so special for our daughter and new fiancé!! The food is always exceptional - the dry aged rib eye with truffle butter melts in your mouth; the scallops are tender and cooked to perfection! The filet is always a solid choice. Everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Kudos to the chef for making the dessert plates so perfect to carry out the "proposal plan"!! Everyone from the manager, Steve, to the many servers, including ours for the night, Taylor, were warm, friendly, and attentive. We look forward to future celebrations with Bridget's!! Thank you again!!
Come here a lot! Always so good. Didn’t like that our server didn’t leave the wine bottle on the table after decanting but still can’t wait to come back.
We love Bridget's. I have tried a few entrees, the pork chop and the duck, both good but my favorite is the classic NY Strip with a side of truffle fries. We also had the mussels and the Burrata appetizers, both excellent. Excellent service and wines
Great food and drinks! Love coming here!
Perry took care of us! The jambalaya was great!!
Definitely go! We are still talking about this dinner the next day! Service was fantastic, thank you Dylan ☺️. Food exceeded our expectations. Noise... Thursday night on a beautiful summer evening and noise is to be expected. Bar was full and overflowing to dining area. Everyone was respectful so that's cool.
Love Bridget's! It can be expensive but the food is delicious. The service is excellent. I highly recommend Bridget's. It is always lovely.
Loved this birthday dinner for a friend. Got the lobster risotto and short rib appetizers, which were so good. Seafood fra diavolo and filet mignon entrees also did not disappoint.
Have not dined here for a long time but wanted a change, staff very accommodating when we wanted to change tables. The waiter was very busy and his service was mediocre to just acceptable. The food was good which is never the issue, it is the noise! A very noisy place with loud conversations and music. You have to almost scream to hear the person next to you. Also the wine list is limited and the pour is outrageously small.
From start to finish everything was fantastic!
Food and service were good, but we couldn’t have a conversation because it was so loud! We are middle-aged, but not old enough to be complaining about that yet. There was an especially loud party near us (or one very drunk woman with a grating voice), but it diminished our experience so much that we won’t be returning here.
Felt rushed with appetizers coming out immediately after ordered and dinner to follow. We had reservations for 6 and was sine by 7:10 -
Food is wonderful, just wish my fish was a little more substantial for 40.00.
Our filet mignon was prepared well and delicious. Service was great. The fixed price menu is a terrific & affordable way to enjoy Bridget's wonderful food. The bread pudding for dessert was amazing!
While the food was good, the waitress was disappointing. She was not pleasant and boarder line rude.
the service was excellent and the food was well worth the cost.
the bridget jambalaya was exceptional and the braised ribs were as tender as butter.
