One of the best meals I've had in London! Delicious wine too.
Delicious food, attentive, knowledgable staff, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Great open space with lovely wait staff and wine and food. Wonderful all around
One of my favorite places in London
Great food, great wine, knowledgeable staff, friendly vibe
Great food, fantastic wines and service. Unfortunately a few dishes weren’t available du to a faulty extractor, but the staff and food/wine more than compensated for this.
Service was really really slow and portions super small for the price. I spent 45 pounds and left hungry
Had wanted to go here for ages. Booked for my birthday with a small group and did not disappoint. Excellent food and natural wine. Brilliant service, with welcome pairing tips!
Some plates were much better than others but overall great experience, great service and delicious food.
This is the third time I’ve gone to Bright and every time I am surprised by how amazing the food is.
I was expecting great things from Bright due to the glowing reviews. Sadly it did not deliver. The starters were actually all delicious but the mains were just average. Had we just stumbled across Bright, I think we would have all been pleasantly surprised, but as it is time out’s #5 London restaurant, one would expect more. Time out’s restaurant list is usually bang on. The beef shin was chewy and the extensive turbot lacked flavour and imagination. The service was good at first but after a short while the a pair were seated at the table next to us, whom it was obvious all the staff knew. As a result, their attention went overboard on the pair and we were left feeling a little bit neglected. Hopefully, this was all just a perfect storm of an off day in the kitchen and the unusual scenario of the staffs’ best mates being next to us and other patrons experiences will be better and live up to the hype. None of our party will be rushing back, especially considering it was not cheap. The wine list was extensive and good, albeit expensive - I just wish we hadn’t ordered an expensive bottle to compliment what we thought was going to be extra special food. Overall, it was good. Just sadly well below expectations.
Returning customer. Satisfied as usual and left happy! Friendly yet casual service. Banging wine and good grub.
One of London’s finest.
Considered wine collection.
We went there on a Sunday evening with my wife.
A few of the dishes we wanted to order were not longer available, being late and them being closed the next day, so they did not have ingredients in stock. Frustrating as it might be, it is a marker that they care not to waste or use frozen goods. However, as we waited between our starters and mains, they offered 2 free starters as a gesture to apologise, which we felt was thoughtful and appreciated.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable on the wine front, which was what brought us there in the first place. Their wine menu is incredible in breadth and quality, but I would love to see a few more options to order by glass as it is an opportunity to try several new things without committing to a £60 bottle.
Portions were huge! Food was delicious. But if a trek outside of the city but worth it. Service was lovely.
Third time at this restaurant and the menu is yet again simple but subtly surprising. Together with the usual unique selections of wines to pair, the experience was very smooth
Fantastic place to go on a date. Delicious food, great staff, cool ambience. Go!
Best restaurant in London atm
Rushed us a bit but divine food and wine
Sat at the bar, was served by a guy with a mustache who was super great. Really good food and wine will go again
Outstanding food in a relaxed and friendly environment.
We loved our dinner at Bright. The venue is beautiful and has a laid back atmosphere, but feels buzzing and exciting.
The staff are all very attentive and knowledgable and gave fantastic service!
The food was delicious - super interesting menu with beautiful flavours.
All in all an amazing evening and would 100% recommend. We will be back!
Always a total pleasure. The food is a excellently cooked, well balanced, and makes for a wonderful meal no matter how many are in your party. Either sharing or solo meal. The wine list is stellar, take friends to help explore the offerings. WIll be returing as ofter as possible. Thank you to all the team.
As usual the food was superb - original and very very tasty. The service was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. It seemed a wee bit noisy but unpleasantly so.
Food - Probably one of the best places I've been to. All the meats were cooked to perfection (Fish/Chicken) - hard to get right, but Bright balanced the cooking very well to perfect tenderness.
Services - Very attentive staff at all levels from comfort, to recommendations.
Ambiance - Smaller restaurant with a very energetic vibe, but definitely not a quiet place.
Would come again!
We visited for a late lunch on a Saturday. The service was excellent throughout, we were given good advice on how to structure the meal as well as wine and food recommendations. Our table most enjoyed the starters/snacks and the desserts (we had all of them) and the pollack main. I loved the two pastas, but those dishes had slightly less impact. The meal was part of a great day in London Fields.
Great wine, interesting food despite my natural horror of sharing and never knowing how much to order as I feel I am urged to order too much. Weird congratulatory tone on ordering like I entered a competition...no one topped up our wine, a bugbear of mine.
Extremely good food in a super nice place with great service. What more do you need?
Great food, nice selection of really interesting dishes
Drink and wine selection were great. Cool East London spot. Some dishes (sardine toast and leeks) were delicious. Pasta was not great and cheese puffs were....fine.
The food was delicious and unusual. The wine list was excellent, and the other alcoholic drinks were strong. Service was good and the decor/ambiance was nice.
This meal was floorless. food, wine & service. We had a great time. That flipping Squid sandwich...I'll be back
This place always delivers. Service is always professional and very friendly, creating a great vibe. The food is always fantastic and super tasty. Loved it.
Food was absolutely outstanding. Squid sandwich was a game game changer!
Delightful service, lovely food, good wine selection with a some wonderful funky natural wine (as well as some good options for more traditional palates), great ambiance for catching up with friends (not too loud). The guys there even stopped by friend’s bike from being nicked and left a note on it for him to check the steering. All round fabulous experience!
I love Bright ! Great dining experience every time, always a pleasure
Excellent food, excellent wine and excellent service. This is my favourite restaurant of 2019.
All the dishes we tried were great. Menu changes frequently but if you can, you must order fired squid sandwich.
Amazing food, simpel but the flavors and dishes are very creative and delicious. Prices are worth it and the portions are big. So really a lovely dinner place - tip: take the fried squid sandwich, the veggie fondue and basically all the pasta's and chocolate. Totally in love. Also very good wines.
The Service and atmosphere was really good! The food was quite disappointing because the flavours of the dishes did not match with each other and my stomach felt quite ill when we were eating at Bright and that lasted for two days. We had high expectations but the food needs to be improved!
Amazing food, very original, top quality. An excellent restaurant with an incredible wine list!
