Nice design and ambience but incredibly overpriced for what it is.
Unfortunately the flavours of all dishes we had were lacking. A squid dish lacked salt and enough acid. Clams with tomato had not much taste at all, seafood texture was poor. The dish is not described appropriately on the menu, it was a watery ceviche maybe. Pasta with artichokes and pancetta was bland. Best dish was veg and dip.
Bright was absolutely amazing - beautiful food (the grilled squid is out of this world!!), extensive wine list, brilliant service and great atmosphere. Cannot wait to go back!
Some great dishes, but also a couple of disappointments! Overall a very good restaurant.
A lovely bright room with extensive wine list and good choices for food
Lovely restaurant with tasty food. Service was absolutely excellent. Would recommend and would visit again!
Fantastic restaurant! Friendly staff, approachable and good recommendations. Food was unreal!!!
Great food and wine list. The service was very friendly.
Amazing food and service. Interesting and delicious wine choices.
Great food and great service. Staff very accommodating of our toddler. Wine was just delicious. Nice looks too!
Bright is delicious. The wines are great and the food is so good and remarkably well priced (for what it is). On this occasion the best part of the meal was the grilled turbot head special. A real treat!
Wonderful light and airy restaurant, with great produce focused modern British/European food, and interesting wine list with focus on natural wines. In a category with Shoreditch's Leroy and Peckham's Levan. Perfect Friday night date spot! Best surprise was the Macerated Strawberries and Rhubarb dessert.
Amazing food as always. Hearty, filling, high quality vegetables
Lovely food and a great atmosphere. As a solo diner I was treated very well - someone to talk to when I wanted to but given space when reading my book. Accommodating of me being veggie although the menu is more meat/fish heavy. Fab wine list and knowledgeable friendly staff - cheers guys!
Everything about Bright is just perfect - the team there, the room, ambience and, importantly - the food! My favourite restaurant in London. Thank you Bright team!
Phenomenal, seasonal food - the crab, leek cold soup was the highlight for me, so much succulent crab, soup so light and full of flavour. The main we had lamb neck, with olives and herb, yoghurt sauce also a favourite- drenched in a gorgeous broth like sauce. The fresh vegetables were crisp and dipped in the Parmesan and herb sauce an absolute delight, great accompaniment with the lamb even though it’s on the starters. Great for for wine fanatics as although the by the glass is short, full of beautiful varied wines some natural/ organic leaning and always rotating with wine specials on the night. We loved the selection of digestifs. We received attentive service at the bar but I would prefer the high top tables or restaurant seats if you can book in advance. My only one recommendation is to have some gluten free bread alternatives for the starters. Can’t wait to go back!
Effortless attentive service and super food and drinks - wonderfully fresh and bright experience. We sat at the bar and it felt both private and at the heart of the restaurant with food and drinks being ferried to us and we lost ourselves in our conversations. Great experience to celebrate 18 years of marriage.
Really great time at Bright for a birthday. Food is excellent and service amazing.
Beautiful food and wine, knowledgeable staff and a comfortable, airy atmosphere.
oysters were out of this world and service was perfect - few wines that we ordered were out of stock but what we ended up with was delicious so no issue - thanks so much to everybody
Really loved it, loved all the choices on the menu, it was hard to just pick a few dishes!
I dined here with two girlfriends for a bday. The food quality was mixed, the starters were stronger than mains. Of note, the cheddar pastries, cuttlefish pasta, and asparagus side were delicious but the pork main was really fatty and rare and the chicken offal ragu pasta was overcooked. Berry dessert was like a mushy hospital jelly but the milk cream and caramel was excellent. Service was lovely.
Expensive for what it is. Was recommended by a friend but the food didn’t meet the hype. There were so many bones in the turbot loin which costed £30.
Amazing food and wine selection! Highly recommend for a tasty dinner.
Delightful, but the menu was not as good as when we first went - especially as I have extremely fond memories of the katsu sando
The desserts were outstanding...interesting flavours and not too sweet.
Delicious food, served in a laid back setting. The food at Bright was incredible, it was creative and interesting, not your normal dining experience! Wine list was extensive, only one beer available. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try something a bit different
Lovely little spot with stellar service, delicious food, and nice wines.
Very very tasty food (need I go on? Oh, until 50 characters...) served by charming & efficient people in a a pleasant environment. The cooking is neither classic nor gimmicky-for-the -sake-of-it, but seems to involve getting good ingredients & finding ways to make the most of their flavours & textures. I just hope it doesn't end up getting too popular, and attracting people who go to "the best places" because they are supposed to be the best places, rather than because they enjoy and appreciate what's on offer.
The menu was off putting
Genius in the kitchen. Charming staff. Wine list is on the edgy side but sommelier will guide the less experienced. Great buzz without being raucous. It’s our favourite place to eat for a while now.
Great drinks list.
Extremely attractive staff 😊
A great space for relaxed and casual dining - food is very good, as is wine and service.
Top shelf experience with delicious creative food, wine (of course, wine, an interesting curated everchanging selection) and splendid service in a comfy convivial space.
I'm so looking forward to another go at this one at a time when I am drinking alcohol ... tee total last time and I still loved it!!
The food was very nice and service very good. Personally I didn’t like the wines by the glass we tried. To lean, sharp with little flavour. I’m afraid people seem to be able to sell Natural wines just because of their name without them actually being any good.
Great as always. I'll be coming back again and again!
It was a lovely evening. We went on a French wine evening and got to taste a few different ones which was awesome. The staff are all super friendly and the food was delicious! The things that stopped it getting 5 ☆ was it was really expensive and I think there could have been a couple more dishes on the menu...to tie the theme together!
This was a spot-on experience! Lasagne fritters blew my mind and the team knew exactly what I was after wine wise and ended up with a banger from Jura (Dom. De Saint Pierre). Both of us really impressed. Even the hand soap impressed!
Delicious food and wine, attentive staff and good portion size. Return visit already planned!
