Brome Grange Hotel
Booked as had the government Eat out to Help out scheme. There was limited choice and no children's menu but they did smaller adult portions. We had moussaka, pasta and pie with 2 desserts and 3 drinks. Food was good and good value at £30 for 2 adults and one child but not sure if I would have been as pleased if I paid £60. Would return but only on an offer.
Don’t book to eat here, especially through open table.
Table wasn’t booked, food burnt and the dinning room lacked any kind of ambiance. We felt we were in a side room with tables pulled out at last minute.
Booked through open table for 8.40! but hotel said when we got there they stop serving at 8.30 and we had to go earlier , no real problem there , very limited menu only 3 main courses , only 1 curry left and the other choice scampi was intact fish cakes , I think despite everything that’s going on if you are filling your rooms you need to have a bit better choice of food even if there’s only limited choice . Staff how ever were very friendly and hard working , think the management need to re look at the organisation .
Excellent service had a fantastic visit and will go back lovely night away
Hotel could do with a facelift but the restaurant was very cosy and pleasant.
The service was very good and the food far exceeded our expectations.
Would recommend.
We are always surprised that the place is empty at weekday lunchtimes - but it suits us, as all we do is 'catch up' - it's a regular meeting place halfway between our homes, and we always enjoy it.
I arrived as booked, me and 2 children, we were shown to a nicely layed table in the restaurant, then moved to an unlayed table in the bar. I had to ask for the menu, there was no children's menu as promised on the website. The menu gave no indication of price and when I asked, I was told that they would not be able to give me a price until they rang up the bill after we had eaten. This is appalling! There were no other customers so far as I could see but we waited 35 mins for our food.
I was particularly disappointed as I have been here before on business with a buffet lunch and always been impressed by the helpfulness of the staff and the quality of food and service. Not at weekends, apparently.
