Brooklyn Chop House
Wasn’t expecting to be outdoors. But it was nice none the less
My fiance and i wished we could have dined inside, only because we have never been. The food was amazing. We will be back when the inside opens up.
Was one of the best nights out we have had since before the world changed- TY for being ahead of the curve and building the plastic protectors for the outdoor seating and as always your staff is what makes it so much fun- pandemic or not we were feeling pretty lucky to have scored a great spot. Always a treat and TY for getting it!!
Jay was my waiter he was the best waitress ever. Great service and great food
Brooklyn Chop House just recently opened their outdoor dining on Spruce Street, taking a few former parking spaces. It’s very well conceived and partially covered. The menu is more limited than it was pre-pandemic, but they still have some of the best dumplings around, with non-traditional fillings.
Had the pleasure of dining @ Brooklyn Chop House last night. Daniel our waiter was exceptional and very attentive.
Now the food, We started off with Spicy Shrimp, Bacon Satays & the Lettuce wraps & I can honestly say all starters were made to perfection with generous amounts of food to be starters. Main course consisted of The NY Prime & Vegetable Fried Rice , Best steak I’ve had the pleasure of eating in a very long time along with the fried rice.. Perfect!!
This establishment has also went above & beyond addressing any concerns you may have eating during these turbulent times..
Great Job Brooklyn ChHouse!!!
Great atmosphere food was great definitely will go back again environment calm and quiet
Literally everything we ordered was outstanding, good service, great drinks. We got 5 different dumplings, and the LSD, which was a combo of lobster, steak, Duck(we changed to chicken), onion rings and two types of fried rice to be shared by the table. The owner even came to our table to tel us about the restaurant and what to order. Nice friendly staff, will definitely be going back there
From the start, service was top notch! Every dish was fabulous
The service was subpar. Even the manager, who we had to call over more than once couldn’t get it right. He offered to buy us a round of drinks, which was nice, but he got that wrong as well. Brooklyn Cop House is an ala carte steakhouse, with a flair, but has the smallest tables so it was hard to set all the plates on it. Some other observations: the veal chop comes sliced but that isn’t mentioned on the menu. It seems as though the restaurant wants to be a family style place where everyone tastes each other’s meals. Again that is not advertised. One surprising mention: the staff put steak knives at everyone in the party’s setting. When they realized only one of us ordered steak they picked up the others and put them back in the serving tray not knowing if anyone had used them or not. Overall, not worth the money and definitely not worth the rating they get.
The appetizers were delicious and there wasn’t a bad one in our order.
The main courses were just ok.
I’ve eaten here before and the main course were fantastic so maybe it was just an off night
Everything was wonderful besides the size of the establishment everything was awesome i also got to meet the owner and his partner
Service was the worse- slow and unprofessional.
Steak arrived cold and it took 10 minutes for the waitress to check on us while we were trying to call her. She offered to reheat the steak! Why should we eat a reheated steak that your served cold from first place.
So we walk out eating only small appetizer with a barely apologies from the place.
Overall all was good however, we waited too long for drinks. Food was great. Ambiance was also great.
I had been wanting to try the food at Brooklyn Chop House for a while now. I live in Virginia but come to NYC quite often but never make it to Brooklyn Bridge. I have to say the food, the service and the hold vibe was even better than I expected. I was able to meet the manager Stratis Morfogen who was so pleasant and working as hard as his staff to make sure everything was running smoothly. I will definitely be back ❤️
Great food great service
We asked the waiter to describe crispy beef and he said it’s slices of beef deep fried. When we got it, it was beef coated with lots of flour deep fried and soaked in sweet sauce. We tried it but couldn’t eat it and told them that we did not like the dish but still had to pay $30 for that dish. They did not take it off the bill.
We also asked the waiter to describe Mayo prawns. The waiter described “sautéed prawns in honey”.
Waste of money. Never going back.
Loved it! Ambiance, vibe, food! I will be going back.
Best choice of restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I already recommended this restaurant to my co workers
Food, Atmosphere and service was superb! I highly recommend dining at BCH!
It was amazing.
Service was a little slow and the place was not even crowed.
I loved everything it was amazing thank you
My husband bday and he and I loved it!
Great food and service. I love the ambiance. I really had a great time
I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants, this was really the best steak I have ever had! Believe the hype.
Appetizers came out after the main course. Food was underwhelming and rushed. Service was good but the overall experience was not what I expected.
It was great
Food was amazing
Great experience and food was amazing. Will definitely be back
We have reservations but we still had to wait for a table. The food was delicious
Amazing experience, we shared everything and the food was delicious. Really cool vibe and the staff was so friendly. Everything they recommended, we ordered, and were so happy we did. Highly recommend!
Meal was aaaaamazing. Some of the best Peking duck and ribeye I’ve ever had. And the cheeseburger dumplings are a must!
The high notes of the meal were the sides and an appetizer, recommend the eggplant, mushrooms, chicken noodles and fries. The porterhouse for two was tender, cooked as asked and presented beautifully. Would have been flawless if it had a char crust and a bit more salt. All that said, not planning to return as the service was lackluster and detracted from the experience.
We were in from out of town. Found the place in yelp. Excellent food. Excellent service. The owner was randomly checking in on tables. When he got to us he apologized for being in a hoodie, but it was his day off and he was just checking in. Nice guy. Clearly cares very much about delivering an excellent service and product.
Food quality is superb. Everything was excellent. Definitely a place to dine at.
Absolutely horrible in every sense of the word. Steak was cold and all fat. Service was terrible and worst of all MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION WAS STOLEN AFTER I ATE THERE and several fraudulent charges appeared the following day. Worst restaurant ever.
It’s was my partners birthday and our sever made our evening, everyone was super polite and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
I went to the Brooklyn chop House Saturday night with three friends for a going away party. We had a 9:45 reservations but we weren’t seated until about 11:30 the hostesses at the front had no information about anything going on but offered us free champagne. We were very frustrated waiting to get our table, but once we were seated we forgot about the horror we went through trying to get the table. Our waiter was amazing and the food came out so quick. We tried about 10 dishes and every dish was above our expectations! Will definitely come back again and hopefully the front of the house will be more organized!
