On arriving in Browns, we were shown to the wrong table, and hastily shown to a smaller one nearby, in the way of staff. We waited a fair while for orders to be done, but the service was pleasant and we weren’t in a hurry.
Food waited at the pass for ages, and carried on cooking under the lights: our medium-rare steaks became medium-well.
Make sure you order drinks well in advance: they are dealt with at a downstairs bar, and take a long time because so many people are waiting for cocktails.
Pleasant enough but no great shakes. £75 a head inc wine.
Wonderful experience and excellent cocktails.
Excellent customer service,knowledgable and friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. Barman Jack was exceptionally good and makes a mean Manhattan too.

I chose Browns because of its gluten free menu and was not disappointed. Portion sizes were good and it was great to know that I wasn't limited in my choice. Thanks very much to Lydia for her fantastic service.

Food was very nice, especially the dessert. The starter wasn't as hot as I'd have liked but it was still tasty. Service was excellent throughout the evening and the cocktails were great. Lovelying Valentine's day meal, would recommend.
When we arrived we were told that they didn’t have our reservations from Open Table and they were completely full. I showed her my phone with the Open Table receipt and she apologized and explained that there must be issues with the connection with Open Table/their system. The hostess immediately found us a table. She made sure we were well taken care of and that we were finished in time for the football match that evening. She was very accommodating and helpful.
My wife and I asked for six starters so we could share, expecting six separate plates it all come on a rise platter dish, very nicely presented.
The staff who looked after us where lovey.
Great food and drink and a nice experience in restaurant
I never write reviews but I feel compelled to do so now. My husband and I went to Browns on a Friday evening. I knew it would be crowded and busy but did not expect the poor service that we had. The evening started out lovely and our drinks and starter came out quickly but our waitress forgot to send our meal order to the kitchen so we had to wait a very long time for our main course. She apologized when she realized her error but even after that, we waited a very long time for our food. We saw multiple tables get turned over 2 times before we even ate our mains. And then we waited an even longer time to get our check. Our waitress who was once jovial and very personable must have sensed our displeasure because she disappeared and we were left waiting a good 15 minutes until our check arrived with a scowl from her. The food was pretty decent overall but the service left something to be desired.
Very disappointed with my meal which I sent back.
To be fair they were apologetic and didn't charge for my alternative choice which was only marginally better.
The pleasant service was the only thing that saved it but Ivwould not return

I have been to Browns lots of times whether it be just for drinks or food and always had great service. Fab place to meet friends for afternoon drinks and a chat and people watch on a sunny day.
Waited to be seated for 5 mins. When we're seated the table was not big enough for 2 people let alone 4.
Got up and walked out.
Despite booking a table at 22:30 I discovered the kitchen closes at 22:00. This is unacceptable
Nice food with good service. Seated upstairs which was a little quiet but this didn't detract from the friendly service and atmosphere overall.

My first booking using this app and when we got to the restaurant I was told that they were fully booked and had been for 3 days! Luckily they managed to squeeze us on a small table but not a great start to using the open table app.
