Still a great restaurant and bar with a great vibe but it has become a bit over priced. On this particular visit the food was also overly salty.

We went to Brumus for the set menu for lunch. The starter and main course were both excellent (we had the pork belly for mains). The dessert was a choice of cake from the cake table. We had the chocolate cake and the sponge cake with berries. Both were mildly disappointing compared to the savoury courses. The decor was attractive and made it a pleasent place to be. The service was good, but not quite the usual very high standard in top end restaurants. The value was outstanding because we had the set menu including the glass of wine/Prosecco offered with it (Prosecco with our Open Table offer). Otherwise wine would have been pricey. I would thoroughly recommend having the set menu here, but can't recommend either the chocolate or the sponge and berry cake. Maybe one of the other cakes is better.

It's a great spot for an intimate dinner - not so busy that you're sitting on top of people and not so quiet that you feel awkward. Delicious food and good value set menu.

I dined at Brumus twice -- Lunch and Dinner. Both occasions gave me and my friend happy time. Selection of wine is very good and beautifully displayed desserts give guests extra fun to make a choice.
The service is excellent and foods and wine served in perfect timing. The staff are very friendly. There is no laud music which allowed us to chat peacefully and seats are very comfortable. Toilet is very clean as it is on hotel standard. I will go there more often.

I would recommend it to anyone.

We really enjoyed our 1st visit. We have been to the sister restaurant at the Soho hotel but thought we would try somewhere new for our regular lunch date, 5 old friends. We were not disappointed.
Menu was good value

Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Really good sensitive style of hospitality and food was delicious and fresh. I love that we had 2 hours to recover after a long and tiring journey and as it was really tipping it down we'd have had nowhere else to go. All staff were great but we particularly appreciated our cheerful and kind waitress from Greece. Thoroughly recommend as a pre theatre set meal. Excellent value.

Business lunch at Brumus. The food is bistro/cafe style and has something in common with the Wolseley and the Delaunay (altho no German sausages). My chicken schnitzel was crisp without being greasy, broccoli was still al dente (good) and the new potatoes had just the right level of buttery creaminess. Prices are as you would expect for the Haymarket, but this is several cuts above the run of chain restaurants (you know, all those that have just failed!) and much better value.

Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

Ambience is good, quiet, comfortable and the decor is quirky, although I struggled to find the theme. All in all a good place for a working lunch that requires lots of conversation.

A friend and I enjoyed a post-theatre Birthday dinner at Brumus on Saturday. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgable and the food was delicious! My friend requires a GF diet and the restaurant were very accommodating. The decor and ambience were exactly what we were looking for as we wanted to chat and dine somewhere that felt like a treat, but didn't feel stuffy or make us feel out of place.
We are already eyeing up the Afternoon Tea for our next visit.

Perfect location for a lunch pre-show at the Haymarket theatre. We took my grandmother there fior her 90th birthday, the staff were lovely, bringing out a slice of cake without being asked. The lobster tail starter was very good and the plaice for main pleasent.

We had a set meal deal which was excellent value and the portion sizes were also a good size but the most important and special part about our evening was the excellent service - I didn't get the name of the waiter but he was exceptional, didn't rush us and was an absolute delight and joy throughout the evening. All in all a great night out made even more special by the attention to detail and superb service.

We had the set menu which was really good - chicken and leek terrine followed by pan roasted pollock for me and belly pork for my husband. We ordered sides - one of each between us which was perfect and had the house wine. The dessert was cake with fruit compote and creme anglais. Cannot fault anything. Staff were brilliant. Food excellent. Venue perfect.

Brumus provides a dependable level of service and good food. If you are eating pre-theatre it is important to alert your server. The Opentable offer is good value and worth asking for although no one knew we had booked through Opentable when we arrived or that we'd pre-booked the offer.

Consistently good service at this restaurant. It offers some good 3-course dinner deals for less than £30 including service and soft drinks. Choosing from the main menu and adding wine can be around £60 person (3 people sharing 1 bottle of wine). I choose the Fish of Day which was seabream which was beautifully cooked. A short walk from Piccadilly Circus - great for Haymarket theatre visitors. You could also consider just stopping by for a drink in the adjoining bar.
