Bruno's Bakery and Restaurant

During this very stressful time, it’s nice to feel completely safe in a restaurant. All safety protocols were in place, and as usual the food and service were excellent.

All things considered it’s a good meal. Service has its obstacles with the pandemic, but we had to ask for a champagne, salt & pepper and maple syrup for pancakes. We also mentioned we were done with some of the food and asked to have it cleared but it wasn’t until we were entirely done. Portions are a good size, but I don’t think it’s worth $25+ for brunch.

Always a wonderful experience - especially during these times everything was sanitized and provided me with all my request of plastic silverware and cups.

The Hylan location was disappointing at best. People in our group got coffee ONE time, one tea refilled ONCE only when asked, no juice was offered, and we were charged $25 for a pitcher of soda! Staff were unattentive and difficult to wave down for the one refill of hot water for tea. It seemed like they didn't care because the 20% gratuity was already factored into the bill. The food was simple fare, nothing outstanding, and portions were meager. The standards have gone down. Sadly, will not return.

We went for the brunch with Santa and it was very nice. They had a separate room for pictures with Santa and also a gingerbread decorating station for the kids. It was very private, since they only take a certain amount of reservations. On top of that the brunch itself was very good and reasonable priced. Service was excellent. Also they have a bakery inside the restaurant with lots of tasty treats and since it was Christmas time, it had lots of festive goodies.

The check in staff was wonderful and most kind as we arrived late for our brunch. This establishment was lovely and I look forward to going back for dinner.

It's a good brunch for the price. Reliable neighborhood choice.

A very pleasant experience. The food was very good and they were very accomodating.

The meal I ordered was not what was described. It said braised short ribs and I got sliced roast beef

We love it here and the food is always good. Its been renovated in the past year and its very modern and pretty. Sitting outside was a little noisy but it was to be expected because it's so close to Hylan. What I did not like is the credit card usage fee. They charged it even using a debit card. I get that it's expensive to run a restaurant but I really don't support passing your fees on to the customers. For that alone, we would hesitate going back. I feel it's taking advantage of loyal customers.

The food was cold, the service was slow. The whole experience was disappointing. Usually the food is excellent but although the restaurant was not super crowded they used that as an excuse for poor service & cold food. In today’s day when we work so hard for our money we should be getting the best quality.

We went for Brunch and the party size was 7 adults, the food was delicious and the pastries outstanding but for the price I think they could offer just a bit more food. Not complaining but I have gone for brunch with more offerings for around the same price. I will definitely go back though, the waitress was gracious and accommodating, the atmosphere was very nice (sat outdoors, love that) and as stated the food was very very good. I recommend going here and definitely get a pie to go before you leave, the fruit tart is ridiculously good!

Loved the entire experience, the food and the desserts were out of this world! I highly recommend going there and experience Chef Mike’s Rodizio experience!

The food was delicious. The service was poor. We were a group of 10 & the tip was already included in the final bill. Unfortunately, we believe our server took advantage of this. Never asked if we needed anything, took 20 min to serve dessert & at this point told us one of the desserts wasn't available & he didn't ask if we wanted something else, served the coffee after everyone finished dessert & he served lemonade to some of us (it was a brown liquid), when it was questioned he said oh no its lemonade (later he said it was indeed iced tea). The server acted as if it was a bother to serve our table. These are only a few things that we were unhappy with. I will give the restaurant another chance. My friends have gone there before & were happy with service & the food. Unfortunately this visit had poor service.

What a wonderful brunch! Warm breakfast pastries and fruit platter started us off, along with mimosas. Then we feasted on short rib hash over polenta, eggs in purgatory, French toast and breakfast pizza. Would go back tomorrow!

I can not say enough about the restaurant BRUNO'S in Staten Island. Our waitress, Alyssa was absolutely amazing! From the time we came in until the time we left, we were greeted with nothing but warm smiles. The manager Elvis was also excellent. Please ask for Alyssa when you come in! You will not be disappointed!

Food was good. Service was very slow. Very expensive.

Went for brunch this past Saturday. Sat outside on the patio. Food was great. Service was great. We sat for awhile and they didn’t rush us at all. Pastries and fruit that were included were great. We split the steak salad and Nutella waffles. Very good. Unlimited coffee as well but it tasted a slight bit burnt. Other than that everything was great. Great value for a cute brunch.

The pre fix menu is nice if they actually gave you what they said it was . The short rib has was quite opposite of what it said on the menu. The hash was actually similar to a tomatoe sauce with shredded beef in it (not short rib) . And the serving size was fit for a small child . For $25 I expected much more..

We enjoy going to Bruno's for dinner. Our service was not the greatest this time. The food was delicious as always but the waiter did not know much and never came back around so I could get a drink or order dessert, we had to find and ask him. Besides that it was good.

Beautiful ambience...great service....delicious breakfast meal.

Took the wife out for a date night, we had an Excellent night out. Great food & service.

Felt a little rushed, the fruit/danish came out then your food not even ten minutes later. They should space that apart a little.

This was our first time having brunch at Bruno's and we were very pleased. It was a little noisy (but that's to be expected because it was completely full by the time we left). However, the noise level didn't have any effect on our enjoyment. Our waiter was very personable and added to the experience. I had the Croque Madame and it was delicious.

Service was great! Servers were polite and always ready to get what was needed. Food was delicious and more than enough for a lovely brunch.Would go back anytime!

I really enjoy the food here. The brunch is excellent. I Finally tried the dinner and it was delicious. The service is great and love the look of the place. The deserts are absolutely delicious. The only down side is the price. I do feel it’s a little pricy for Italian food on Staten Island. I will however be back eventually for dinner and will be coming back for desert and brunch often.

Great for Sunday brunch with the families! This was my first time there and definitely will be coming back!
