   A Deeply Disheartening Experience on What Should Have Been a Joyous Occasion I rarely write reviews — in fact, I never do. But after this experience, I feel compelled to speak up, not out of spite, but from genuine disappointment and sadness. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my son’s 25th birthday with a family lunch — a special milestone, surrounded by love, conversation, and good food. But from the moment we walked through the door, we were made to feel like a burden rather than welcome guests. The waiter who greeted us looked visibly unhappy to be there, and his demeanour set a cold, uncomfortable tone for the entire experience. We had one extra guest in our party and asked, very politely, if the table could be extended so we could all sit together. We were shocked when the response was a flat refusal, and the suggestion was that one of us sit behind the rest of the group on a stool. Despite the restaurant being over 80% empty — and remaining that way throughout our visit — we were denied a simple, reasonable request on what should have been a joyful afternoon. The most disappointing part was that it had already been noted in the booking that this lunch was to celebrate my son’s birthday — but nothing was acknowledged. We didn’t even feel comfortable bringing it up on the day. The atmosphere made it difficult to suggest anything, and that’s just not how it should ever feel when dining out — especially for a special occasion. The food was average at best. The pasta, which was described as “fresh,” clearly was not. For a bill totalling over £450, we expected more — not just in terms of quality, but in hospitality, warmth, and care. We didn’t stay for dessert, coffee, or even a photo. We just wanted to leave as soon as the food was finished. And that, to me, says it all.    It was well over an hour before we got our starters, which is rather poor. They were very small for the price. The pizzas were ok.

   Brvtvs was highly recommended but unfortunately didn’t deliver. The noise level was way too high to have a normal conversation throughout our visit. We arrived at 8 and left at 10, I appreciate this restaurant is known for its live dj sets, but we had expected this to start from 10 not all evening. The menu was disappointing, 3 things we had selected on the starter menu were unavailable and we felt this left little choice. The mains were small and not very appetising. The quality of the food was poor and we had to wait over 40 mins for our starter. I also consider this restaurant very expensive for the quality of food received. Drinks were also very expensive 4.50 for a small bottle of water! I do expect to pay a premium for drinks in a good quality restaurants- but would say our experience was average at best . We left feeling v dissatisfied and will not be returning or recommending to our friends.

   Music was far too loud. Our table was by the door so was bumped into a bit. Service good but the music just ruined experience, catching up with an old friend having to shout to each other across the table. Pizza average, was much nicer last time

   How lucky to have such a great restaurant in Marlow. It feels like a trip to Italy on a Wednesday night or a visit to Capri with fun music and great food. So lucky to have this little gem in our lovely town. Thank you BRVTVS for giving us an energetic place to hang.

    We went for Valentines Day and had a lovely meal. The staff were very attentive with food coming out at good times! We had a pizza and lamb and only thing we should have done was order some sides to come with the lamb (which we did once it arrived). Would 100% go back as food was good
