Good food and got to experience another bubba Gumps
Amazing food, came quickly, great service. A wonderful surprise.
The decor and ambiance was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food however was a bit disappointing, although it looked really good and exactly the same as it did online the taste was seriously lacking and the food was actually quite bland. The chips were very dry and did not taste fresh at all which considering that the largest food portion in a lot of the dishes is the chips. 9n the whole I think the food and drinks are seriously overpriced, but considering the area I guess it's to be expected but I won't be returning here sadly as it's just not good value for money.
You need to change the system where waiting staff ‘remember’ and don’t write down your order. 2 different staff forgot to bring drinks over (we never got them) and another forgot that we didn’t want nuts on our sharing dessert. Then a service charge was added to the bill with no option of taking that off when paying by card.
Food was ok though, but expensive
Service was poor we had to find someone to ask when we needed something, plates were not cleared away, food tasted very greasy, no one asked if everything was ok with the meals.
The only good part was the decoration of the restaurant
Good experience overall.
Food was good overall. Starters and mains were as described and BIG portions. Unfortunately he cookie dessert was a bit disappointing. We expected it to be soft and gooey but it was literally solid and you had to chisel it out of the pan with a spoon.
Service by the lady in a white blouse/shirt was great but most other staff did not know answers to questions and seemed in a hurry all the time (although the place was half empty).
Our experience of Bubba Gump in the states was much better in regard to service.
We would visit again because we LOVE the theming of the restaurant but the service needs improvement for the price point.
Love the decor in here! Waitress didn’t put our food order through so was waiting for over 40 minutes until it was sorted. Apart from that it was nice.
The guy checking reservations downstairs was lovely and the girl that initially took our order provided friendly service, but I think she maybe went on her break after that. Very hard to get service after that. Had to flag down a staff member to pay. I said thank you to 4 different staff members on my way out and all ignored me apart from the guy downstairs.
Very expensive even for central London when all the food is frozen and reheated. The menu is misleading as to what to expect. We paid over £20 each for a main of all beige food with frozen fish that still had the skin on to be deep fried and piled on fries.
Drinks were ok and prices for them were comparable to other nearly places.
The decor was dusty and needed a good wash.
Service was fast and the seating area bench seat and table was clean. We wouldn’t be going back.
Food tasted stale and was too greasy. Fish smelled bad
The front of shop staff were very friendly and welcoming, however we got the feeling the waitress saw everything as an inconvenience.
The food was average, priced accordingly for the location (Leicester Square) and the restaurant being themed, but i doubt we’ll return on this basis.
Great experience and food service was really friendly and happy. And who doesn’t love Forrest Gump!
Food was ok, friendly staff, but never asked if we wanted dessert or anything after our main meal was served. Also the gratuity was already added
to bill so I guess service wasn't really an priority. Restaurant needed a bit of tlc as most of the booth benches were held together by sellotape.
Having arrived on time for our booking we were seated and given a tatty menu. On the table next to us a couple were dining and the man was struggling to breathe after eating a spice prawn, not what you want. A tray of drinks was dropped on the floor the server cleaned up the broken glass and cleaned the floor with a cloth then immediately went to serve food to a table without sanitising her hands. We waited for 20 minutes to be served or even spoken to but nothing, attempted to get seved but were ignored so we got up and left and we were not challenged. Overall the resteraunt was dirty, dated and was in complete chaos. Will not go back ever very disappointed. Luckily we walked across the road to a steak house where we were seated and orders taken within 5 minutes
Service was shocking, at least 20 minutes to take order, still waiting 35 minutes later for drinks, the restaurant was not busy and tables which had ordered after us were getting their drinks, unfortunately we left as very disappointed and found somewhere else to eat. The attitude of the staff was awful, I heard one staff member say I don't care I'm leaving tomorrow, when you are paying this amount for food and drinks, I would expect better service.
Literally no difference in the quality of food from a TGI’S.
Staff were a bit unorganised. Twice coming to the table without a pad to take orders.
I have been to other bubba gumps in America and they are far superior to the London one.
I personally wouldn’t return to this one.
SO GOOD. If you’re a seafood fan, you’ll definitely enjoy. Shrimp Mac and cheese, Cajun shrimp and onion rings were the highlight. Will definitely be back soon!
Really enjoyed our lunch here, the shrimp dishes were lovely and generous portions.
Food is awful.Shrimp all overcooked with no taste and chips just moosh.Very very overprices and the restaurant is very run down.Would never go there again
Food was great! Amazing and quick Service.. can't complain.
Great meal and great service. So much food we had to take most of our dessert home with us. Wish there was a Bubba Gumps closer to us but we always visit when in London.
Everything is good!
Took my son who is a super fan of the film. He enjoyed the shrimp. I enjoyed the music (classic Motown) the staff were all attentive and happy to help. Portion size disappointing compared with overall cost. But a nice ambiance and in keeping with theme. Drinks were quite expensive also. But overall pleasant and I would return.
Great food and friendly staff but food very expensive but I guess you are paying for eating in the centre of London
The food was tasty but my meal wasn't very hot when it came out. I only ate a little before it was basically cold.
Bubba Gumps is probably the best restaurant I have been to, the food, the staff and just the atmosphere is amazing. Cant recommend enough
Boyfriends bday and they made it very special! Lovely atmosphere too
Luckily booked a table as fully booked when we turned up. Got seated in a booth slightly away from others. Ordered our drinks and the soft drinks came but my pint didn't turn up. I had to ask where it was and didn't arrive until I was half way through my main course. Once we finished our mains, no-one came to our table to clear our plates or take our dessert order for 20mins. I had to get up and ask someone to do this. It was always the waiters would go to other tables but never come to ours. Bit annoyed a tip was automatically added to the bill as service was poor.
If your looking for a speedy service then do not go here! We waited over 30 minutes for our order to be taken, then the starters arrived before our drinks did! My lava flow cocktail was more like an ice cream milkshake and came in a cracked glass that I had to go and get changed (which was poored from one to another and lost about an inch of my drink) the starters was definitely not one for sharing with friends as there was just enough prawns for 2! Once we finished our starters waited another 15 minutes for it to be taken away and then to be told we will have to wait a further 25 minutes for or mains to arrive, in this time all the tables around us seemed to be being served pretty quickly and effectively so it wasn't like they were rushed of their feet (especially when some of them were sitting around) when our food finally came out mine wasn't warm at all and eating luke warm prawns is a recipe for disaster! It was sent back to the kitchen then our server went on break and I was left with no food, we waited a further 15 minutes and still nothing! In the end I found someone the get the general manager for me because at this time I was too annoyed to wait any longer for my food to come out. He didnt charge us for our food but this isn't the type of service you expect. Thank God we came here after the show we went to see otherwise we would off missed it because of the snail like pase of service. We had been having a lovely day out and this experience just tarnished a really good day. I definitely will not be coming here again and advising anyone who asks to steer well clear
Nothing like the experience in Florida.
Food was slow coming and just warm at best
Lovely place. Quirky.
Had a table booked but still had to wait about 20 minutes before it was available. Good system in place for waitress service. Food was lovely and fresh
Amazing food and great service.
Will definitely return!
Family visit with children following a west end show. Pre-booked and taken straight to seats. Friendly servers and lovely food as well as a Forest Gump quiz -really enjoyed it and food was lovely
Good food and great place to eat.
Pre theatre trip for the family and expected the average service. Being honest and to my surprise (right or wrong) I was very pleased at the whole experience. Food, service, ambience everything far better than I’d expected! Highly recommend but please book in advance 👍👍
Service was extremely slow. The food was ok but there was zero ambience
Bit of a gimmick, food ok but service very slow, staff did not seem to want to be there
Food wasnt great.. service was pretty bad and was very expensive
Really poor value for the price. Service was quite good by a couple of very nice waiters, but not by hosts at the front door or on 2nd floor. Expect having children running and screaming all around you, as this seem to be a family-friendly tourist trap. Margaritas were quite good, though.
