Always amazing food. Best pizza around!
Staff on their phones, not in a uniform, door was open was pretty chilly sitting near the exit.
Really lovely food with very generous portions.
chicken was a bit dry & the beef was quite tough. May go again for the pizza & truffle fries but the chances are low. Service was good! Lovely people there.
Chilled vibe, great food, kind service.
Great restaurant - friendly service, good choice on menu and well cooked dishes. I would go again and recommend
Lovely restaurant with relatively new owners, who are very welcoming and friendly.
Excellent food... Though we miss the polenta chips.
Accommodated us early ahead of our booking despite being closed. Very welcome and a vast improvement on the previous management.
We love this place! Best Italian Pizza in North West London. The service is also fantastic.
Wow! What an amazing experience!!! We had the freshest, home made calamari, amazing minestrone with home made sourdough and pizza to die for from the wood burning oven, tasted straight out of Napoli. Just absolutely awesome and fantastic service from the authentic Italian owners and very, very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back.
Went with family and loved it, the place the staff and the food. Service was brilliant and we also got given a coffee and a ice-cream on the house. Plenty of parking and easy to get here with loads of bus one of witch I know is the 102, but also via underground.
Heart felt service from what appears to be a family owned family run business. Makes all the difference. Feel the love.
Lovely meal as always. Authentic family run Italian food. Burrata ftw :-)
We love coming to Bufi. The pizzas are the best around and the menu is great for families who enjoy good quality food. The staff are so friendly and attentive. We always enjoy each visit and receive s warm welcome each time. Definitely one of our favourite local restaurants
Have been several times to this local Pizzeria and always a friendly welcome, food is tasty, service is usually attentive and overall we have enjoyed some very pleasant evenings here. Last visit, the restaurant was at capacity, and apparently 2 staff hadn't turned up for work! So, there were a few minor cracks both front & back of house, however, we still enjoyed the meal.........
A pizza to die for ! (mine was Nduja), an excellent Campari Spritz (not easy to find the real thing in London), super friendly service. Can't wait to come again !!!
The only reason for 4 stars overall instead of 5 is the wine by the glass selection which I found a bit limiting, and the grappa selection - ditto a bit limiting, Nonino only.
Had a relaxing evening at Bufi. Everyone enjoyed their choices of meals. Service was very good and friendly. Will definitely return.
Great place to eat. Friendly, good food and good service.
Food is Perfect.Service frendly. I recomend Bufi for all.
We liked everything especially the handsome and attentive young waiters. There was a hassle though. We booked online for 5 but when our circumstances changed I couldn’t change the booking online to a table for 4. So my daughter phoned and made the change. While we were there I received a phone call from Bufi asking whether we were coming or not! I didn’t answer as we were having lunch and I didn’t recognize the number. Then I got an email asking why we hadn’t turned up for our table for 5. I felt I had to email to explain the situation. I’m now explaining it for the second time. This is all a bit of an unnecessary hassle!!!
Lovely neighbourhood dinner with friends and family. Great service, tasty food.
Very friendly service, delicious huge pizzas. Child friendly.
Friendly owners and staff, recent change of ownership I understand. Just love the pizzas here! Some items on the menu listed on opentable aren’t available but new management seemed keen to incorporate any suggestions and they may be bringing back the 1/2 pizza 1/2 Calzone option.
Excellent starters and a good pizza for main, authentic Italian management
Friendly, local Italian restaurant, convenient for the cinema
We really loved the atmosphere, seating and menu choice. We were well looked after, in fact probably too much. We weren’t left alone. Being constantly asked if we were ok, and having wine poured, made me feel uncomfortable. So many staff mingling, why weren’t we just assigned one person. That, plus my seafood pasta was too chilli hot, stopped you getting five stars. Otherwise it was very good x
I ordered a Panzanella salad for my starter and got a green salad . With no dressing. And radish. If you have Panzanella on your menu in an Italian restaurant, you need to know what it is. For our mains we ordered calzone and a pizza, and I have to say that it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was thick, and was burnt on the outside and uncooked on the inside. The mozzarella hadn’t even melted; there were little cubes of it scattered in the middle. My husband’s calzone had cold ricotta in its raw, doughy inside. The tomato sauce had no flavour. On an up note, the service was pretty good, but we definitely won’t be coming back.
I'm sure their food is good, but we never got to find out; having booked online using the Opentable app, we arrived to find - an hour before their published closing time - that they hadn't consulted their online bookings, were cleaning down and had sent the pizza chef home. They were polite enough, but East Finchley at 21:30 on a Monday evening isn't exactly a gastronomy Mecca, so we were left with no alternatives except an early night.
One of the best Italian restaurants around, and certainly the best in N2.
Great food, fantastic staff and good vibes.
Excellent proper Italian. A standout restaurant in East Finchley. Genuinely authentic Italian fare served with wit and warmth by the ever charming Mario. In the food desert that stretches northwards from the Camden this is a rare and welcome oasis.
Best place to eat in Finchley! Would recommend the garlic bread!! Absolutely amazing!! :)
We had an early tea with our nearly 3 year old twins. The service is always excellent and they are great with the children. Food is great and the children love the bread sticks and garlic butter and rabbit pizza...or was it a fish this time! A great venue for a family tea, dinner with friends or a meal as a couple.
My wife and I have eaten at Bufi many times in the last year or two and have always enjoyed the experience. Typically we go for pizza from their wood fired oven but we have had the occasional pasta which has also been lovely. I am happy to recommend this restaurant.
I booked BUFI on Open Table for my brother's birthday.
I have been previously and had a fine experience.
When we arrived my husband took the birthday cake to the manager I believe and was told "You didn't tell us about the cake". The manager then proceeded to say "what do you want me to do with it" I had to walk over and said I specified birthday when I booked on Open Table. I was taken aback because I had read reviews where people had had birthdays there. I didn't think bringing a cake would be such an issue.
I was then told there would be a cover charge of a pound per person. I said fine.
At the end of the dinner the cake was brought out lit with candles and we sang Happy Birthday. So it turned out fine in the end but the earlier experience made me feel a bit uneasy.
The food is consistently excellent, but we went early on a Sunday evening and there were a couple of items not available on the menu. This was a shame because the friends we were with asked for them! They did choose alternatives which they thoroughly enjoyed!
food was nice, service friendly and prompt, there are good size tables so not squashed. The only negative was that the gluten free pizza was not available and as it was a Saturday evening you would think it should be but GF pasta was available.
I went to Bufi a few times now, and every single meal and bite was very much enjoyable. I recommend this restaurant to everybody who loves Italian food or simply a hearty plate of pasta and a good glass of wine. A meal at Bufis fits every occasion and in this cozy restaurant you can't help but feel comfortable and like in Nonna's kitchen.
My favourite Italian/pizza in N.London. And that is saying something, as there are loads of ristoranti around here ..
Really lovely local authentic Italian restaurant; food great and service excellent
I haven't had such good pizza for some time. And that is saying something as competition is stiff in Finchley and surrounding areas - there are loads of good Italian restaurants. The staff were super friendly and I even got some extra grappa - just what I need :) Will definitely come back for more, and hopefully soon !
