Food was good, a little salty for my taste, but still enjoyable. Service was great. I enjoyed the quieter venue but tables are very close together. We were seated close to the door and I did freeze all night so maybe not the best place in the middle of winter but otherwise the proximity to the door didn’t bother me. Overall a good experience
The food was amazing. I love family style dining for the opportunity to try more dishes.
Presentation of Gin drinks is poor. Red wine is also disappointing.
After seeing the rave recommendations, my husband and I were so excited to take my parents to Bundok when we were in Edmonton. What a letdown. When we arrived, the server at the front door, who turned out to be our server, sort of half-motioned toward a coat rack. She did not know anything about the wines when I asked for recommendations, and was mostly absent throughout our meal. Her attitude seemed to be, "God, are you still here?" even before we'd ordered. There were not many people in the restaurant so it's not like she was stressed. Just could not have been less interested in helping us, recommending things, or just generally making this a pleasant evening out. I'm really not sure how this place ended up on the Canada's Top 100 list, but it certainly didn't rank in the 50 or so restaurants I've been to in Edmonton in the last 5 years.
We had an amazing experience as always at Bündok. The service drinks and food were all amazing to the point where we ran out of words to describe how good the food was!
We had the chicken skins, Parmesan soup (an ABSOLUTE must), gnocchi, and hen and we were delighted with every dish.
One of my favourite places in Edmonton and would without hesitation recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing experience all around.
We were seated promptly and recieved very good service. Our server was very helpful in terms of figuring out the right amount of food as the menu is predominantly share plates. Our meal consisted of 7 savory dishes + 2 desserts shared among 5 people. Everything was absolutely delectable and it was fun to try so many flavours in a single meal. Plenty of local ingredients and a decent wine list.
Dinner w our family. Excellent quality food, inventive and delicious.
Personnel could be more inviting and explain the menus better. Cauliflower dish was grainy and didn’t have a great flavour but everything else was delicious.
We were celebrating two birthdays. The recommendations by the waitress were helpful and we greatly enjoyed our meal.
We had a wonderful evening, sharing time, diner and wine with dear friends. A fantastic spot to spend time reconnecting.
Service, food and wine were very enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant to others!
Great food! Very small place.
Not a very welcoming staff. The counter seats next to the kitchen area are awful, you stare into a wall basically. Make sure to book a table not the counter, especially if you have more than 2 people.
One of the best meals I have had ! Will definitely be back
Outstanding. Brought relatives from out of town loved it will be back
We were so excited bc Bundok was highly recommended to us, but it was quite a letdown. Our service was ok, we waited quite awhile for the drink menu and drinks once we ordered them. There didn’t seem to be enough drink menus for the restaurant because the servers kept taking ours for other tables and then returning it. Weird, but whatever.
We ordered 4 dishes, including the steak. They all were much too salty, all of them. I ordered another beer during the meal, which seemed to take awhile to receive. It was annoying bc it was just a can of beer - it wasn’t a drink that needed to be prepared and with the saltiness of the food, I really needed something to drink.
My husband was very disappointed in the steak entree. It was tough, and again, way too salty. The thing I enjoyed most was the canned IPA, which I could’ve gotten at a liquor store.
Just like the food, this dining experience left us salty. I wish we had chosen a different restaurant for our date night.
This restaurant was recommended to us, and it did not disappoint. Our party of 3 started with the sea bream crudo, and it was fresh and tasty and did not last long. We then had the chicken liver tartine (again, excellent) the beets and goat cheese salad (delish) the grilled striploin (grilled to perfection at Chicago rare) and the beef tartare. The beef tartare had a little bit too much mustard and overwhelmed the dish, but the beef was fresh and chopped to perfection. We all agreed that we had to try the dessert after such an excellent meal. The chocolate cake with candied peanuts was excellent, but the crown goes to the citrus posset. I have never had a dessert so fresh and clean and tasty. A creamy custard reminiscent of creme caramel, but with mint and lime flavours that knocked our socks off. I would come here again just for this dish. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the server could not answer questions about the food (with every question we asked, she had to either refer to the menu or ask the chefs). I believe that a server at a restaurant of this calibre should know the dishes and their ingrediants inside out in order to do justice to the dishes the Chefs/cooks in the kitchen so perfectly prepared. With 1 cocktail, 2 beers and a glass of wine, the bill came to around $200. Worth. Every. Penny.
This place is my new favorite downtown spot. Great for a date. Great atmosphere and professional service. The pasta dishes are out of this world. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
Outstanding food and service. We will definitely be back.
Waitress developed an attitude when we sent our corked red wine back
Lovey evening, great food. The music was too loud. We asked for it to be turned down, but that didn't happen.
A great restaurant for celebrating a special event, but not a restaurant for casual visiting. Even though the food quality is amazing, the price for the quality is too high to visit frequently.
Bundok has a great atmosphere and for the most part the food is deligthful, however my last visit left me with a sour taste. One server was inattentive and when they did appear, everything was rushed. We had four dishes, which for the most part were delightful, but I felt the ordering of the courses was off. I've been to Bundok twice - the first was a nice experience, the second was hot and cold, we'll see if the third time takes the cake.
Excellent service! Delicious food, great cocktails.
Had a lovely time. Took about 15 minutes for the server to get to our table when we first got there but it was made up for by the amazing food. Highly recommend. Every dish we tried was absolutely mouthwatering. The vibe is great. You’ll have a wonderful time.
This restaurant is presented as a tapas, sharing plates type of dining but the kitchen is scheduling the order of the dishes that are served apparently according to what they have ready !?! We started with the pommes dauphine (hot)and then we had the beef tartare(cold) then we had the liver on a slice of bread (cold) and finally the cauliflower (hot). Where is that order of serving come from ??
The liver tartine was way too thick but luckily we had some bread left from the tartare. The cauliflower was too salty and with too much different flavour on one plate.
The atmosphere is once again too noisy without caracter. It is another commercial store that has been turned into a restaurant with no identity.
The bill was still over a $100.00 for 4 dishes for 2 people, way over priced for what you have in your plate.
We tried it once but we won’t go back there anytime soon, sadly ...!
Amazing. Simply a great experience.
Only complaint was small dessert portions.
As always, yummy and perfectly executed! Service was exceptional as it always is...thank you!
Food and service were excellent. Great place to go to on Oilers game night or before a concert. Small restaurant so recommend reservations before any event at Rogers.
Our first visit did not disappoint. The room is very noisy and from one who is hearing impaired almost impossible to hear without removing ones aids. That was the only negative to the evening. Our server (Cory), if I heard her properly. Made recommendations and we went along with her suggestions. The Parmesan soup rich and tasty. The chicken skins while tasty were greasy of course and the least favoured by the group. The kale salad, gnocchi, and hen were standout as were the desserts. We all left very satisfied. One small complaint, wine by the glass is pricy and the pours stingy for the price. The wine list is also very pricey. A thing being equal we would return; without hesitation.
Nice little spot for a late meal. Would come back again.
Excellent services and the food was awesome. Really enjoyed the tartar and gnocchi.
The food was delicious, well presented and well cooked. We found the prices to be quite high and the noise level high. Regardless we enjoyed the experience and would recommend Bundok.
Service was fantastic and food was delicious. I’ll be back
Love. Love. LOVE Bundok. Great food. Great staff. Great vibes all around. 10/10 have recommended and brought friends for dinner here.
This place never disappoints! We had the cauliflower, hen and gnocchi - all just spectacular. Great place for a special dinner or any night you feel like treating yo-self!
Great creations on the menu. Cocktails were really good. Very friendly, attentive service.
Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations. The gnocchi was the best out of the 3 dishes we had. The pear salad was basically just prosciutto and ended up just tasting salty. The hen was just a chicken with good sauce. Not sure why everything came out separately with significant breaks in between. The beer was brought out with the can and a small glass (a bit weird, especially given it was a can). Service was there but not good, she didn't seem to care. For $100 meal before tip, not worth it. Don't regret going but won't be back.
The food was great. We recommend the hen dish the most.
Outstanding. Business meal and my guest was from Toronto and she loved it
My favourite place in the city. Perfect spot! The chef is amazing. The food is always amazing. Can’t wait to go back!
