Inspired by a neighbourhood back-street Italian bar & pizzeria, we serve a delicious range of
home-made pizzas and classically simple regional dishes available to eat in or take away. The
bar houses a large selection of Italian wines, beers, Proseccos and vermouths and also serves
a range of cocktails perfect for either an aperitivo or digestivo.
Downstairs, we offer a more informal bar setting with high tables and a counter at which to eat
and drink, whilst the pizzeria with restaurant tables is upstairs looking over the bar below.
Bunga Bunga is an over 21s establishment. Therefore anyone under the age of 21 years old cannot be admitted. Our entry policy is 'Challenge 21' this means if you are lucky enough to look under 21, you must produce a passport or driving licence.
The service wasn't great unfortunately. The first server didn't seem to have a record of our reservation and just gestured us to find a seat upstairs without giving us menus or saying hello. The second server who looked after us for the rest of the night was very friendly and nice but got our order wrong and because the pizzas took so long we couldn't change it as by that time we were rushing for the theatre. The food and drinks we did receive were delicious however. The card machine was broken so we had to come back and pay after the theatre but that was just an unfortunate event
Amazing pizza at a good price. Attentive service. Really really loud music so not ideal for those wanting conversation! Good for a quick bite to eat pre theatre.
Good quick service although quite a disappointing selection of pizzas and seemingly although freshly made the staff were unable to accommodate one pizza with half one topping and half the other for our children which meant one of the kids had to eat half a pizza with a topping they didn't really want ... Too expensive to buy 2 pizzas for them to be wasted! Garlic bread wasn't on the lunch menu but kindly they did make some for us. It's a good place for speedy and friendly service before a show but not amazing food.
Genuine thin crust pizza handmade the authentic Neapolitan way - by Neapolitans. The best pizza in London by a mile. Pizzamaking classes are great fun. Really friendly staff too
Wonderful authentic pizzas made the traditional way thin crust. The Neapolitan way. Great service from friendly staff
Best pizza in town
Booked a table for 8 at 6pm for a pre-School of Rock get-together, and this was ideal. Staff were lovely. Really good pizza, even for the 8-yr old fussy eater. Bottle of tap water arrived without asking. Would recommend the Gina Lolobrigida cocktail! Got the impression it might get really noisy later on, but would def book again for pre-theatre.
We had such a fabulous time at BungaTini Covent Garden,
we came a long way from North Wales as this was our anniversary.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from the staff, they were so lovely, helpful and welcoming. The food was amazing- best pizza ever tasted and the pistachio icecream! fabulous!
We had unlimited prosecco , also bloody marys which were divine.
I have recommended BungaTini to all my friends and family, myself and my husbagd are going back in September we enjoyed it that much.
Only one issue - I wish I didn't live over 100 miles away.
Pizzas were delicious the variety of pizzas was mouthwatering and the salads were very good.
service was a little slow had to ask for drinks then had to ask for someone to kindly take our order then had to ask someone to take payment as we was on a pre theatre outing.
Very friendly, good atmosphere and good food. A lovely evening.
We enjoyed a pre-theatre pizza here but arrived slightly late and then had to wait what seemed like an age for our pizzas to arrive. The restaurant has a nice, typically Italian vibe and our waitress was welcoming, sweet and smiley. The pizzas when they arrived were extremely good and it was a shame that, partly through our own fault, we had to bolt them. Drinks aren't cheap but again that is probably to be expected in Drury Lane. A twelve and a half percent statutory tip was added to the bill.
We had a pre-theatre meal. The Pizza's were good but that was about it. I think it's aiming for a "rustic Italian" feel but it just seemed a bit shabby to us, a bit like a greasy spoon café. We wanted a desert from the choices on the menu, but were told they had no deserts at all apart from vanilla ice cream - is this a serious restaurant?
Great staff overall! So welcoming, so vibrant! Congratulations. Keep up the good work :)
Lovely meal and very good service , puddings a little small but pizza huge . Nice atmosphere and overall a lovely meal
Very nice service, waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Food was good, I ordered an aubergine lasagna for mains which was delicious. Only thing that could be improved is to have greater variety on the menu- there arent many options. Had a great time, would recommend.
Despite speaking to the restaurant two days prior to arrival to ask if they could cook a pasta dish (gluten free) when I arrived and mentioned it I could see the conversation the waitress had with the chef. Let's just say it was a non negotiable request. This left me very little options on a very limited menu. They wouldn't survive anywhere else other than in a big city.
Everything was OK
The staff were very helpful and attentive without being intrusive
very good atmosphere - lively downstairs , upstairs a bit quieter
very good friendly service
nice food- italian-selection of starters ,pizzas and some other mains-
on drury lane so convenient for Central London
very enjoyable evening
Pre Theatre before seeing School of Rock. Excellent Pizzas and fantastic service.
For a pizza place was ok but expensive.
Choice of food was poor as the menu is very small.
Ambience was ok.
12.5% service charge automatically added rather than the choice.
Great food for a decent price and staff were great at dealing with allergies
Excellent pre theatre pizza the staff were fantastic and made a big fuss of my sons birthday thank you
Excellent value three course set lunch menu with good service and a very good ambience.
Food and service was great! There were 7 of us so we ate family style and that worked out perfect for our group. Waiter was very accommodating. I would go back for more when I visit London again!
Some of the best pizza's we have had outside of Italy! Great friendly service too.
Such an amazing ambient. They have a lovely seating area outside for sunny days like last Thursday. Food was AWESOME. I recommend the octopus, simply sensational. Really nice Sprits and cocktails. Best Espresso martini that I ever had. Recommendable 100%!
Run by Italian which make a difference
Excellent food and service
Stumbled across this place walking around Covent Gardens less prominent streets and absolutely loved it! It was a great spot for people watching, away from the craziness of the tube station. Drinks, food and service were brilliant. Definitely worth visiting!
I had such a great lunch here; the food was delicious and service was fast so I was able to eat in my lunch break. This is the sweetest little place with flowered creepers running up the walls so it felt like I was in Italy's back streets. The servers were also lovely, nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend enough, and I would try try lots of different things on the menu and share - all so good!
Delicious pizza, great service and lovely atmosphere!
Amazing wood-fired pizza, staff are so friendly too, highly recommend 😍
Really great lunch there last week, food was excellent, felt very authentically Italian. Service spot on and drinks very good too. Would definitely recommend to others and will be back! Thanks.
Brilliant decor, mezz is really cute! Had lovely cocktails followed by a well recommended bottle of wine. Pizzas super tasty, will be back!
