Worth the 10 minute walk from the city center to avoid crowds and long waits at chain restaurants. Nice food, service and and chilled setting.
Burleigh was amazing as usual, wonderful food with great Gluten free options for celiac other-half. Staff are friendly and very helpful.
Three of us had a great meal informal yet excellent service
The specials were really good as was the beer and wine
A great place lots of choice for vegetarians yet not to the detriment of meat and fish eaters
Came here with my wife for a relaxing evening meal - found great food and great atmosphere. Made to feel welcome.
Great informal pub with varied menu and top notch food and service. Popular with everyone in our group, adults and kids alike. Top notch service too.
Excellent food only thing I would add the gravy should be separate & we ordered dessert & custard was very small portion
No waiter service as too busy had to order at the Bar
Wonderful, as always.
We visit The Burleigh Arms for lunch, prior to going to Cambridge United matches. The staff are very friendly, food good and it's pleasant both indoors or seated outside. I do not normally drink alcohol but have to drink a pint of the excellent London Stout. I live nearby, but my companions (family) travel to meet me at the pub and hope for a parking space in the car park (there is room for a few vehicles). We'd all recommend The Burleigh Arms and will be back there again soon. :)
Great food as always great service very friendly saff
Always a lovely evening.
A great pub which I had not visited for a while, really impressed with the range of vegetarian options and it was lovely to be spoilt for choice. Lovely food, quick service and as it is bar service left to chat without feeling like we had to move on, staff were attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommend and already planning to come again with another group of friends.
Friendly staff though, for a Sunday lunchtime, too few to provide efficient service. Although first to arrive the two course meal took over two hours; a long time for the 5 year old!
The vegetarian main course was pleasant and the gravy excellent but the child’s meat was over cooked. When the desserts were served the quality was satisfactory: the crepe brûlée was a success as was the chocolate brownie but the sticky toffee pudding had been defrosted and some parts were still very cold!
The general ambience seemed good though beware of being seated by the front door as it was very cold each time customers entered the premises.
I will come to this restaurant again, lots of choices for Gluten Free!
Met up with friends for a pre-cinema early evening supper. It was so nice to find somewhere in the heart of Cambridge serving good food that was not a chain restaurant. The Open Table booking worked well and a nice table had been reserved for us by the window. Staff were attentive and friendly. We all thought our food was very tasty. I had the Cumberland sausages (3) with cabbage, potato mash and onion gravy, which came piping hot and was a generous portion. Would definitely go again and recommend.
The food was good and varied. Staff were friendly. Cosy kind of atmosphere
The staff were mega friendly and on the ball. The food was really well presented and plenty of it. Great value.
Great pub. Jazz. Good food and nice wine. Friendly. Try it.
Always a pleasure! Good food before the jazz jam. Sweet.
Really friendly, helpful staff. Good food, good choice and a reasonable price. A really good atmosphere
We've been here a few times before for brunch, lunch and Sunday roast. The staff are lovely and the food fantastic.
This is a great restaurant. The food was fantastic and really good value. The pub is off the beaten track which makes it slightly quieter than some others. I would highly recommend it
Excellent food, quiet, informal atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Good, friendly, unobtrusive service. The best meal out I've had in Cambridge for years!
Great good the service was excellent nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money
We've been here several times before, mainly for Sunday lunch. This time was for Saturday lunch. The staff were very welcoming, the atmosphere lovely and the food perfect. Couldn't ask for more. The portions were huge, fresh and cooked to perfection and the only problem was we couldn't fit in pudding.
We had our family Easter Sunday lunch here with 5 of us going. We didn't known the area and found this place on Open Table. For a mid-range pub serving decent food I would say it was pretty good. If you're looking for better thank average pub food, decent staff and a modern-ish place then this place is a good shout.
Good food and beer backed up by very good service. We were with 2 octagenarians and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable.
We all enjoyed our meals here. Good service and friendly staff.
Roast was really really tasty, I particularly liked the cauliflower cheese that was served with it. Pork crackling was very tasty, nice yorkshire pud and all veg and meat cooked perfectly. We had a group of five and all served together and nice and hot. Sweet was standard fare but very tasty with creamy custard or ice cream etc. Staff were very attentive and we weren't left waiting too long between orders. All in all a very nice meal and positive experience in a very clean and warm pub. Thanks
Sunday lunch, very quiet in the bar area where we ate. Would prefer to be where other people were eating.
The lamb was excellent and the service was outstanding!!!
We enjoyed the ambience of The Burleigh Arms on a Saturday evening. The varied seating and arrangement of the pub's interior is pleaasnt. The menu had plenty of variety at affordable prices for the occasion of several friends getting together for a re-union.
I ordered the Sunday Roast..... Got a half a curried chicken with some vegetables hidden underneath. My two daughters had the childrens roast. It was the same as mine but smaller. Both Kids looked at me and said 'Whats this?' Small children like simple roast diners.....not picking all the wiggly bits off the bone.....So much to say, they didn't eat it. The curry was too over powering for them...... Wont be having Sunday lunch there until they change the chef.
I suggested this pub to a group of friends who already appreciate The Old Springs and they have been all really happy with their food and beers. We only had two wrong meals out of six: a sirloin steak instead of a ciabatta with it and that was quickly replaced, and a falafel sandwich that was asked with normal mayo instead of the garlic one instead came without any mayo and so resulted pretty dry to eat. I don't think it was a problem with the waitress though, because she was very attentive and she also repeated all our orders. This fact hasn't changed our good opinion anyway.
Lovely pub, nice and clean, excellent service friendly bar staff. The food was good could do with a few more vegetarian options but we will definitely be returning. Pretty courtyard garden has been added since my last visit and this is a nice addition to the pub.
