What a fabulous find. We really enjoyed our lunch here - wonderful, freshly prepared food with a limited choice menu which appeals to us as you know that each course is going to be prepared to order with care and attention to detail. Great atmosphere with low noise level meaning we could have a romantic and restful lunch together without chaos around us. Will definitely return next time we visit the Wirral.

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here . Food was excellent and the staff were attentive nut not intrusive and very friendly. The only thin that would stop us returning is the outrageously priced bottle of prosecco. £29.00 for a bottle that at most would be £7.00 or £8.00 in a supermarket. This really let a fabulous restaurant down. Other restaurants in the area do not charge as much. Sad to say unless there is a reduction in this price I wont be returning .

I was unable to eat my starter as very strange flavour.
The rest of the table managed theirs but over all none of us enjoyed the meal.
The champagne cocktail was £10 a glass and very poorly presented. I think it would be better if they had a designated bar person to prepare drinks.

Our 4th time attending, restaurant has become one of our favourites now! A little pricey for some people but absolutely worth it. Gorgeous little cottage feel! Will be always going back. Thank you Burnt Truffle for a fabulous meal once again.

Polite, attentive, professional staff (very patient) Food absolutely first class. Between the six in our party we chose a varied selection from the menu, all happy with their choice's for the three courses.
Simply, a nice comfortable place to eat excellent, value for money food, in a great atmosphere.

This is now our third bistro visit in this group having previously dined to Pinion in Prescot and Sticky Walnut in Chester. Food was again excellent and service was very good. Our friend has been talking about Burnt Truffle for some time, recommending that we need to try it, so glad we have and no doubt this will be one of our regulars from now on. Certainly on a winning formula with consistently good food and service. Long may it continue.

All of the meal was beautiful except the pasta and that’s what we were both looking forward too it was quite tasteless especially for a truffle and artichoke pasta was a shame but other that that was a enjoyable meal a bit pricey but expected

Fabulous 5 course dinner taken during Valentine's evening. I ordered the champagne cocktail which was on special, which was the only thing I wouldn't rate, didn't like the champagne. I had the salmon starter which was great. Then for mains I had the halibut which was amazing.

We went on Valentines evening so it was a set menu for £60 per head but with a couple of choices for each course, although there was a £30 supplement for the Sirloin of beef which we ordered in advance.

We were very disappointed that the restaurant made no effort to create a romantic atmosphere, no red rose on the table, no heart shaped confetti, no red long candle - nothing.

The food was delicious and up to the usual high-standards although the Blood Orange dessert was rather lacking in texture and flavour, it just tasted like a large serving of foamy cream.

At almost £200 for a four course meal with a bottle of wine and coffee it was over priced. In particular the £30 supplement certainly covered the cost of the Sirloin so we just couldn’t see what we were getting for the other £60 per head.

This is a really good restaurant with great food and good service spoilt by shameless profiteering on what should have been a special night.

Had a really nice venison and Cod dish at Burnt Truffle on Saturday for my girlfriend's birthday. I had already been to Wreckfish a few times in Liverpool (also an amazing restaurant) so I expected the food to be very well prepared and was not disappointed. Nicely presented dishes and as the waiter pointed out, you can't really go wrong with truffle chips.

Will come again in the near future to sample the specials!
