Come and enjoy our fabulous lunch menu Tues - Sun or indulge in the evening with us. If anything just come and try our Parmesan and truffle chips.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
The food was fantastic with a good range for each course.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service was great.
Absolutely beautiful food and the guy that served us was great.
Excellent food, incredible presentation and friendly service. Best meal i’ve had at a restaurant and overall the best experience. Well worth it.
Really enjoyed this treat of a lunch as we were in Heswall that morning.
Best food I've ever had. Friendly and helpful staff. The braised featherblade beef is highly recommended
WE HAD AN UNFORTUNATE EVENING. ONE OF THE DINERS ON AN ADJACENT TABLE WAS SITTING IN A POSITION THAT CLEARLY SHOWED HIS BACKSIDE. WE BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF A WAITER WHO INFORMED THE MANAGER. THE MANAGER REFUSED TO CONFRONT THE DINER IN QUESTION. SINCE COMPLAINING TO THE COMPANY WE HAVE RECEIVED A TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE RESPONSE AND THEREFORE IN THE NATURE OF THINGS DO NOT EXPECT A SATISFACTORY OUTCOME TO THIS COMPLAINT.
WE SHALL NOT BE USING THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN.
Love Burnt Truffle - great food and service. Our friends commented that they wished they had one near where they live.
We have been twice before and enjoyed the experience. This time we took my brother and his wife over from Australia. They too commented very favourably on the food and the evening in general.
Although the menu was for Sunday Lunch there weren't any times associated with it. Having booked a table for Sunday evening we were disappointed to hear that there wasn't much left from the Roasts. I understand it's only a small restaurant and this helps keep waste down, but maybe add set times for the Sunday Lunch menu?
The food was delicious, and yes I'd recommend Burnt Truffle
Another fantastic meal at the Burnt Truffle for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The feather blade of beef was truly Devine!
Food and service were excellent. Unfortunately there was a table of 8 that were very loud and one guest imparticular.
Fab dinner for a birthday celebration. Food was great - drinks good and service was really excellent.
What can I say excellent as ever. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Main course slightly less exciting than usual and the £39 bottle of zinfandel overpriced.
We arrived early, our table was ready. We were seated in front of the kitchen which was nice. Food was very good quality and decent portions. Featherblade beef was excellent, as was the malbec I had with it. Mussels and cod main were also very good according to my wife. Staff were attentive and friendly.
We had a wonderful evening. Everything was just right, the delicious food, good wine, excellent friendly service.
Delicious food and wine
Especially liked the butternut squash starter
lovely place go all the time for special occasions.
Never disappointed when we have been food fabulous
On this visit, we were a little disappointed. Food still very good, but somehow the atmosphere has changed. Staff friendly enough, but far too much ‘hard selling’ -“do you want two bottles of wine.” Cheese board vey meagre - two tiny pieces of average cheese and bought biscuits = £9. Coffee never arrived. We usually go about once every two months, but will be giving it a miss for a while. Menu may need a little refreshing too. The Art School (Liverpool) cheese board was £17, but worth every penny. 5 hearty pieces of excellent cheeses, home made crackers, honey, quince and a nut relish. More expensive menu on the whole, but so much better than BT.
Great food , good service. We are lucky to live so near such a good restaurant.
Amazing.... fantastic food & lovely staff.
Fabulous as always. Great to be able to sit outside to have lunch. thank you
Two Course £30/head Friday Feast 19/4/19: Tom Collins with no discernible gin; no 'Snacks' course offered or served; small Starter with one small mackerel fillet, not sure how beetroot saltbaked; no serving cutlery to share out Main, cauliflower cheese under, didn't taste any parmesan or truffle on chips, no kale. Waitress great.
Great food, attentive staff and lovely atmosphere. Would eat here again
Fish was too salty, steak was tough, disappointed as service was attentive and we had been looking forward to our evening out!
Very nice atmosphere, helpful staff who engage well with clients and very interesting dishes.
Gem of a restaurant we had a visitor from France and she raves about the cooking all next day
Arrived 6.30 for a table for 4 to celebrate friends birthday. Although we had early an booking to take advantage of the early dining menu, the atmosphere was still welcoming and the restaurant busy. Food arrived in good time and service throughout was excellent.
Even managed to eat 3 courses which is a first for us!
Love an excuse to eat here - food is consistently excellent and service with a smile.
Disappointed in the whole experience to be honest the food was just average ... asked for creme brûlée with shortbread as on menu , no shortbread arrived no plate decoration when asked where the shortbread was the waiter replied ( after looking at the menu ) we don’t serve that anymore ! Well I’ve just paid £6 for 3 tablespoons of custard basically, so nothing more to add to be honest the four of us were let down by the whole experience
What a great find. Only in Liverpool for the weekend so picked this restaurant as it was near to our hotel and had good reviews. So glad we did.
Went on a Friday night where there was a choice of either fixed price or a la carte menu. Opted for the a la carte and was very impressed. Large plump tasty muscles in creamy leek sauce followed by succulent tasty lamb and finished of with semi fredo - all beautifully cooked, presented and tasted divine. My husband had mackerel with mango and pickled cucumber to start followed by steak with parmesan chips - the best chips he had ever tasted by the way!!. All washed down with lovely bottle of sancerre and served by very attentive staff. Had a fabulous evening sat watching these young chefs at work and if I could pick the restaurant up and move them all nearer home I would be one very happy lady!! Everybody should also try their lemoncello as a perfect finish to their meal.
If I ever get to visit Liverpool again I will definitely be back x x
This was the second time my wife and I have visited Burnt Truffle and on both occasions we have had a really enjoyable time. The whole team are welcoming and the food is excellent.
Really lovely roast and my mum thoroughly enjoyed it so you gave her a fantastic mother’s day, we will definitely return!
Absolutely fantastic. We chose this for mother’s day as they’re opening a restaurant nearer us in Manchester. Probably the best roast beef ever. Will definitely go back.
The food and service were excellent and the fixe prix offer of the featherblade is an excellent addition to the menu from the last time I visited. I do think the quality of food and service are first class but I would suggest that there is a regular menu change. Re Ambience - the set up of the room is cosy but when placed right next to the serving hatch it is too bright and a bit intrusive.
Friday feast was a great option - really enjoyed the food - made with care and delicious
Lovely birthday lunch with my sister. Excellent front of house service, very attentive . Food was remarkable.
Excellent service and food as ever. Was a bit noisier than usual but there were some large parties in
Outstanding food and service! The whole experience was amazing start to finish.
