Come and enjoy our fabulous lunch menu Tues - Sun or indulge in the evening with us. If anything just come and try our Parmesan and truffle chips.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
Excellent food lovely atmosphere attentive staff could not have asked for more
Really nice experience - extremely good food, great wine list and nice ambience. Attentive and friendly service as well. Great to see the Wirral finally getting much better restaurants of this type now. I am looking forward to a return visit plus trying out Sticky Walnut in Hoole from the same stable (already love Wreckfish in Liverpool)
Fabulous food, well considered menu, excellent service. All positive.
Dinner for four. Had two courses, starters and mains. Two cured sea trout and two mackerel for starters and all four had the featherblade beef main. Superb quality ingredients, cooked well and sympathetically, whilst producing great depth of flavour. Dishes were good value as were the wines we selected. Service was friendly and efficient, with a couple of minor hiccups. One tip; as this is bistro dining, I would suggest leaving diners to pour their own wine, but maybe this is just a personal preference. Lovely building, impressively restored and decorated to suit the surroundings. Great, relaxed atmosphere. Overall, very, very good. We will return....soon!
I love this restaurant! A quality/classy roast provided!
There is no doubt that the quality of food and service in this restaurant is of a superior level, however with tables being relatively closely spaced it was our misfortune on that particular evening to be adjacent to a very noisy table.
But on balance we would recommend Burnt Truffle to those who are looking for that bit extra in a restaurant.
Excellent food and service . Thanks
Food was excellent and well presented, loved the ginger butterscotch dessert.
Lovely food with lots of interesting choices on the menu - it was especially hard to choose from all the tasty options on the dessert menu. The staff were very friendly but clearly rushed off their feet. The only negative ws the noise. There was a large party who were very loud - perhaps a carpeted floor would help to keep a calmer ambience
Really impressed with Burnt Truffle, we thought the food was amazing and the service outstanding. Only downside was a very noisy table close by which overshadowed what was a special celebration, however otherwise we had a fabulous experience
good food and good service. second time and as good as the first and its always nice to have consistency
Absolutely beautiful food, wonderful staff, friendly atmosphere, would recommend to everyone
£100 for two drinks, two starters, two mains and bread is too steep if the food doesn’t blow you away : it didn’t. Mackerel starter was very nice, but overall, not even near good value.
We loved our first visit to Burnt Truffle. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, the waiter was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed. We look forward to visiting again.
Our meal at Burnt Truffle was great. We visited to use a voucher that I received from backing the Kala Crowdfund. Food was gorgeous, chap waiting on was friendly and helpful. What more could you want. We’ll definitely be back sometime.
Food was very good we had the fish of the day, sea bream which was excellent really tasty and the capers and butter and samphire made it. Service was very good the waiter was attentive and friendly. Would recommend
Wonderful food and a lovely atmosphere. Friendly welcome as we arrived prompt service and we all loved all three courses!
Excellent quality and tasty food. Very attentive staff with good knowledge of menu.
Only negative would be the potential charge on your credit card for cancelling table .
Highly recommend and will definitely return.
Lovely restaurant, excellent food & service. Would recommend to anyone.
Lovely intimate restaurant, great atmosphere. Stunning food! Your tastebuds will love you forever.
We really enjoyed our first visit to Burnt Truffle and will be going again soon.
The quality of produce, cooking and service takes some beating on The Wirral
Second time I’ve been here and I would definitely come back! Best Sunday dinner on the Wirral, maybe even the world.
A beautifully balanced meal supported by great service in a welcoming setting.
This place is always very good - absolutely dependable!
A return visit. Lovely relaxed evening with friends enjoying beautifully cooked and presented food served by welcoming and knowledgeable staff.
Excellent, as usual.
The Burnt Truffle is one of those restaurants where it doesn't matter what you eat, the food tastes terrific. We only ate bread, mains and desserts, as it was a week night with work the following day. However, we both came away full. The starters served to the other tables looked highly appetising.
I had grilled trout with roasted fennel and deep fried black pudding, while my partner had steak, which came with the signature truffle and parmesan chips. Desserts were generous and rich.
Unusually for these diners, one of us absolutely loved the background music from about 1968-1971. Wow!
stunning evening, we arrived 1/2 hour early (not at all like us!) but we were made welcome and the food and service was first class. All the courses arrived in a timely manner plenty of time to enjoy each course, chat in-between, superb!!
Thoroughly enjoyable. Excellent food, a lovely welcome and we were well looked after throughout. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the experience. Thank you.
Great first visit to Burnt Truffle food was amazing with great service. Will be back again soon.
Expensive but worth it for a special occasion even if it is a little cramped
Anniversary dinner excellent food, atmosphere and service
Food, service and ambiance were excellent.
Excellent food great service worth every penny. Will definitely go again.
Food is absolutely delicious, staff are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
Best Sunday lunch ever, food is fantastic as is the service
Lovely food but over priced for the size of the portions on the main course £30 for lamb
Quite noisy upstairs but this is due to it being a small room
Great food, lovely laid back dining room. Heswall should offer better (free) parking in the surrounding streets though!
Delicious roast beef lunch and great choice of starters and desserts
Starters were nice, Lamb was overpriced and portion was very small. overall experience was mediocre. Likely won't be revisiting.
Everything is right about the Burnt Truffle. The food, particularly the lamb and the attention to detail by the chefs was exemplary. No chance of anything being ‘Burnt’, just perfectly cooked using the best ingredients.
The restaurant is relaxed and comfortable - would recommend it to anyone looking for that special meal.
