food excellent freshly cooked excellent flavours unusual menu very tasty.
Superb as ever. Looking forward to the next time. Thank you :-)
Special but not pretentious. Fantastic flavours with a different twist
Absolutely delightful, the food was outstanding, the service friendly and professional and excellent value. I would thoroughly recommend for a lovely lunch
We have been before but this time we took friends. We were well cared for and had a very enjoyable, lengthy lunch. We'll be coming back.
What a fabulous find. We really enjoyed our lunch here - wonderful, freshly prepared food with a limited choice menu which appeals to us as you know that each course is going to be prepared to order with care and attention to detail. Great atmosphere with low noise level meaning we could have a romantic and restful lunch together without chaos around us. Will definitely return next time we visit the Wirral.
Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here . Food was excellent and the staff were attentive nut not intrusive and very friendly. The only thin that would stop us returning is the outrageously priced bottle of prosecco. £29.00 for a bottle that at most would be £7.00 or £8.00 in a supermarket. This really let a fabulous restaurant down. Other restaurants in the area do not charge as much. Sad to say unless there is a reduction in this price I wont be returning .
I was unable to eat my starter as very strange flavour.
The rest of the table managed theirs but over all none of us enjoyed the meal.
The champagne cocktail was £10 a glass and very poorly presented. I think it would be better if they had a designated bar person to prepare drinks.
Excellent food and service in a casual and welcoming environment.
Our 4th time attending, restaurant has become one of our favourites now! A little pricey for some people but absolutely worth it. Gorgeous little cottage feel! Will be always going back. Thank you Burnt Truffle for a fabulous meal once again.
Polite, attentive, professional staff (very patient) Food absolutely first class. Between the six in our party we chose a varied selection from the menu, all happy with their choice's for the three courses.
Simply, a nice comfortable place to eat excellent, value for money food, in a great atmosphere.
Great service from our waitress Dulcie. The food was a good as usual.
Delicious food and great service.
This is a fairly small bistro which makes for a relaxing, intimate atmosphere.
Outstanding food and service, would highly recommend to all, would definitely return again in the very near future !!
As usual lovely food and good service we have been for Sunday lunch several times and evening meals and it’s always the same
As always excellent can't wait to go again. thank you
This is now our third bistro visit in this group having previously dined to Pinion in Prescot and Sticky Walnut in Chester. Food was again excellent and service was very good. Our friend has been talking about Burnt Truffle for some time, recommending that we need to try it, so glad we have and no doubt this will be one of our regulars from now on. Certainly on a winning formula with consistently good food and service. Long may it continue.
As ever fabulou? A joy and treat! thank you Burnt Truffle
We love this place, along with all the other Elite Bistros across the NW. Great, innovative and fantastic food beautifully presented by friendly, helpful staff.
Staff and food outstanding ! Went for Sunday roast and the beef just melted in your mouth!!
We had a lovely meal, the staff were fabulous and the food was delicious. We would definitely recommend Burnt Truffle to friends.
All of the meal was beautiful except the pasta and that’s what we were both looking forward too it was quite tasteless especially for a truffle and artichoke pasta was a shame but other that that was a enjoyable meal a bit pricey but expected
Fabulous 5 course dinner taken during Valentine's evening. I ordered the champagne cocktail which was on special, which was the only thing I wouldn't rate, didn't like the champagne. I had the salmon starter which was great. Then for mains I had the halibut which was amazing.
We went on Valentines evening so it was a set menu for £60 per head but with a couple of choices for each course, although there was a £30 supplement for the Sirloin of beef which we ordered in advance.
We were very disappointed that the restaurant made no effort to create a romantic atmosphere, no red rose on the table, no heart shaped confetti, no red long candle - nothing.
The food was delicious and up to the usual high-standards although the Blood Orange dessert was rather lacking in texture and flavour, it just tasted like a large serving of foamy cream.
At almost £200 for a four course meal with a bottle of wine and coffee it was over priced. In particular the £30 supplement certainly covered the cost of the Sirloin so we just couldn’t see what we were getting for the other £60 per head.
This is a really good restaurant with great food and good service spoilt by shameless profiteering on what should have been a special night.
Consistently brilliant & inventive food, coupled with attentive staff
Always so reliable. It’s good food without the snobbery! Perfect.
Great service, great Sunday lunch & top service, all in all a good experience..
We often dine at Burnt Truffle, as the food is delicious. A little disappointed in the Gluten Free options, as there was no gluten free bread available.
Excellent food and service was first class. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for proper masterchef quality food.
A lovely treat for my wife and I. Both the food and service were great. We’ll be back!
Love Burnt Truffle... the Sirloin Roast is delicious!! Staff are very welcoming & helpful too.
It was excellent as usual -a delicious lunch and I particularly liked the fact that their was a very decent veggie choice
Had a really nice venison and Cod dish at Burnt Truffle on Saturday for my girlfriend's birthday. I had already been to Wreckfish a few times in Liverpool (also an amazing restaurant) so I expected the food to be very well prepared and was not disappointed. Nicely presented dishes and as the waiter pointed out, you can't really go wrong with truffle chips.
Will come again in the near future to sample the specials!
Absolutely fantastic experience. Amazing romantic treat for my wife's birthday.
Incredible food combined with excellent service by friendly, attentive staff.
Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.
Very good attentive service. Food was very well presented.
It was great. I always love it when we visit. Very good service. Food lovely.. Basic price excellent but drinks and sides can make it a bit pricey.
Great food, attentive service all served up in a nice relaxed atmosphere ... Would recommend

A medium sized, cosy, informal restaurant that offers excellent food served by friendly staff. The menu contains some interestingly diiferent dishes and caters for most diets. We were celebrating an anniversary & thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
