Been here about 5 times now. The food is great. Normally wouldn’t go for chicken burgers but they are great
Nice outside seating are as well as indoors 👍
Service was average however the food was not good. Arrived cold. Will not be back
Great place to eat would go again next time im here.
Bad service, 20 minutes for drinks. Food is very salty but nice. Probably wouldn’t go again but a nice experience
Great food, quick service, great drinks selection and milkshakes to die for! Kids menu would be a great addition
The staff were lovely, very attentive!! Food was incredible, the portions are huge everything is so tasty! 100% will be back!
The food was absolutely incredible, best burger either of us has had in a long time, and quite possibly the best chicken in Edinburgh!
Absolutely outstanding! Highly recommended! Found out about it on TikTok of all places when we were planning our trip to Scotland and did not disappoint!
Great food, took a bit to get the attention of serving staff but they were really nice. Wasn't keen when an extra table was wedged in right next to us, given current distancing needs.
Even though I got my table booking time mixed up the staff were happy to accomodate and change my booking to inside instead of outside.
The burgers were delicious and a good size. I couldn't finish all of mine!
We revived a large portion of chips which we also didn't finished so I feel you definitely get good value for money! Definitely would go here again! 😊
Took so long to get our food ordered, and nobody came to check up on us.
Unreal food at a reasonable price however the food took a bit too long to get to us.
Excellent chicken burger, friendly service, generous to birthday boy. Highly recommended!
The service from AGI was second to non , she made us feel so comfortable and because of this service we will definitely be back. She recommends things off the menu and really knew what she was talking about.
Good food, helpful and courteous staff, excellent service.
Really enjoyed the food and the staff were very polite and attentive.
Food was class, service was really friendly and mostly quick.
Tasty food, friendly staff, waited quite a while cause it was busy but staff kept us informed so didn’t mind too much
Best burger and hot dog in Edinburgh. We went for the chicken kiev burger and classic hotdog. Good cocktail menu, really friendly staff and they brought our dog some water in the outside seating area.
loved the burgers, the beef patties were really succulent and the chicken gravy mayo was a revelation.
Really lovely staff, food incredibly salty to the point of not being able to finish it.
amazing food and the service was great!! definitely recommend
Very good food good service and didn’t take long atall and reasonably priced
The food was amazing! We would recommend sharing a sundae ( the waiter agreed) they are enormous. We ate outside which was fine but next time we will choose inside. Nothing to do with the restaurant but we felt some people who were walking past were giving us a look of disapproval. We would definitely recommend the food and we will be back soon.
Chicken burgers were amazing!! Service quick and very friendly, very reasonably priced considering the location.
Very good food and friendly staff. Sitting outside on George Street was great.
Great food and service, very relaxed. Will definitely be back
Food was incredibly salty that it was hard to eat. A member of staff was shouting in the middle of the restaurant swearing and walked out which just made the place seem very awkward.
Massive burgers with halal and veggie options which was good
A little expensive but really top quality food and choice of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Nice central location on George Street with plenty of well built, clean and tidy outside seating.
Chicken was outstanding and I will certainly be back!
Ate here on a busy Sunday evening, and we were seated at a table near the kitchen. Drinks service good, but food order was slow as they had so many takeaway orders coming in.
We did raise this and soon afterwards we did get our food - which was piping hot and delicious. Burgers were excellent - especially the Korean chicken. Wings were nice and spicy.
In addition we were offered 10% off the bill without having to ask, which really recovered the earlier situation.
Overall we would certainly return.
Butta burger review
Starting with the positives, the chicken burger is nice, crispy and is generously proportioned, as are the cocktails that we tried. However unfortunately that’s where the positives finished for us. The Smokey beef burger was very average and not at all smokey, the mozzarella bites were tiny, bland and awfully greasy, kimchi coleslaw was not at all coleslaw and if you expect this you’ll be disappointed. It may have been personal taste but it heavily reminded me of raw Sauerkraut. Then the Cajun chips, chips were nice on their own however they were just dry chips with dry Cajun seasoning sprinkled on top that tasted suspiciously like the Schwartz Cajun jar I have in my cupboard at home. I was reassured it’s made in house so either that was a lie, or they need to find a more inventive chef to make something that tastes better than a £1 jar from Tesco. We did mention this to staff and they took the mozzarella bites off the bill, however it was still £40 for food that tasted like it should be £20 at best. Overall would class it as overpriced, average food if you’re wanting a casual bite but wouldn’t recommend or return.
Servers were all really lovely! Drinks were a bit slow to come but the place was super busy so its understandable. Food was amazing!
Great service, great food, lovely atmosphere! Definitely recommend!!
The chicken wings were our favourite! The chips we did not eat as they were very dry. Burgers were both lovely, although didn’t get the option to have 1 patty.
Excellent service, delicious food.
Staff are very attentive and helpful when unsure about menu choices. The flavour of the burger was excellent, but the patty itself was quite dry. This was my first visit having read some great reviews of the place. I had expected a very juicy, melt in the mouth texture, but it wasn't quite like that. Parmesean and rosemary fries were lacking in flavour (didn't taste or see much rosemary on them), but the cajun fries were very nice.
The amosphere was very lively, but the music was too loud, which made conversation difficult.
Amazing burgers and wings, friendly staff and nice atmosphere to enjoy tumour food to. Definitely recommend!
Excellent food and service, very generous portions. Will definitely be dining at Butta burger again!
The burgers are amazing - fries are extra. Just a word of warning though, the Parmesan, Garlic & Truffle Fries are tremendous but are a MASSIVE portion (to share!!)
