The employee only approached me once, to get both my food and drink order. My drinks were brought and very quickly placed on my table. Another employee brought my food, seeming upset when I asked for napkins (that I didn’t have any of). I had to wave across the restaurant to get my bill, which took a fairly long time to bring to me, after which I had to bring the bill to the employee to pay, even though they had a portable point of sale. Seemed more important for the employee to talk to the others working. The food was cooler than I would prefer when eating in, seemed a bit wet, for want of another word. Was also not as flavourful as expected for a truffle burger. The black garlic mayo was also not good. Generally just a dissatisfying experience. Which was disappointing after researching the best burgers in Edinburgh and coming to this establishment. Maybe my expectations were too high? Likely wouldn’t have left disappointed if the food was amazing or the service was on point.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience- lovely staff, food was great (lots of choice) and portions were a great size- we’ll be back!

From the very friendly staff to the delicious burgers it made the whole experience superb.Also the strawberry cheesecake milkshake is incredible

I've been to Butta Burger on several occasions when in Edinburgh on business trips. Always excellent service, nice friendly atmosphere and the best chicken breast in a bun I've had anywhere. Add to that the delicious truffle and parmesan fries, it's perfect. I will return with colleagues later in the year!

Staff were superb, patient and kind with the slightly indecisive children. They were clearly understaffed but provided great service nonetheless.

Did not live up to hype unfortunately. Burgers ok but had much better just in Edinburgh. Fries cold (they did replace them). Staff really good
