Multi-award winning restaurant situated in the heart of the World Heritage Town of Blaenavon.
Originally built in 1832 as the Cross Keys Hotel we have been serving the locals of Blaenavon and beyond for almost 200 years.

    It was our first time visiting Butterflies absolutely outstanding food. Best soup and the steak well that speaks for its self Best Ever👌👌 Staff are lovely to.

    Once again, Butterflies didn't disappoint! We had the Butchers Block to share, a big dish of "real" chunky chips and the best mac cheese ever! That block is huge and we wrapped up some of it to bring home! It consisted of two good quality sausages, three of the thickest and tastiest, minted lamb chops, a massive steak, a huge, thick gammon piece, two pork chops, a chicken breast, two pots of pepper sauce, the crispiest onion rings, a tomato and a big, flat mushroom all served on a board the width of the table! It was our fourth visit. Dayne, Curtis, Kalee all the staff are just so welcoming and friendly. Everything here is perfect! Already booked in again for their superb Sunday lunch! Well done everyone! Five stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

    It’s the first time in a very long time that I have ordered three courses and ate the lot. The tandoori chicken thigh starter was wonderful. The seafood pasta special was the best pasta dish I have tasted. This was followed up by a lovely sticky toffee pudding. We we be back. Dr & Mrs Gwyn Lake

    Fabulous meal as usual and attentive staff. Only issue on this occasion was a very noisy table of five sat behind us. We couldn’t hear ourselves think!
