Founded by two Master Sommeliers with extensive London restaurant experience, Cabotte promises an evening of exquisite French cuisine paired with a unique wine list made up of beautiful classics and interesting rarities from the Burgundy wine region.

Named after the small huts that Burgundy winegrowers have within their vineyards, the feel of the restaurant is that of a traditional local bistro in the French countryside. With traditional dishes and modern twists, the seasonal menu and daily specials will showcase the very best ingredients.

Open Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner, Cabotte also has two Private Dining Rooms available for exclusive hire for groups between 6 and 40 people. With menus available for sit-down, canape parties or walkaround tasting events, the Central location is ideal for any corporate or social occasions.

Excellent service with very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food - would recommend the blood orange and honey for dessert.

Lovely ambience in the venue, nice that the room was a little brighter than most other restaurants I've been to.

Surprised us with an entire birthday dessert too! 100% return to and recommend with confidence.

Cabotte offers the robust cooking of Burgundy, so think boeuf bourginon and the like, perhaps to be followed by apple tarte tatin. The room is split into dining room and wine bar, and they great feature of the place is the wine list, one of the best in London. It is especially string in Burgundy, and prices are unusually moderate by London standards. Recommended.

The food and the ambience were good but although the starter arrived in good time, we waited almost an hour for our main course after we had finished our starter. As this was a business lunch, this delay was unacceptable. The waiting staff were very apologetic but were unable to hurry things up in the kitchen. Hopefully, this was a one off problem in the kitchen!

Fantastic food, great flavour and good value for money. Only 2 other tables with diners in restaurant and we were sat in-between the 2 whilst rest of the restaurant was empty. Tables very close together only just squeeze between them and I'm a size 10!
Service is friendly but erratic

Absolutely wonderful wine selection and the service was attentive but not intrusive. Our waitress, Ursuline gave great recommendations for food and the co-owner sommelier suggested a smooth and medium bodied pairing.

The restaurant was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and Mr Brand has today booked to come back in early April. I think this may become a firm favourite.

We had salmon, which was very lightly-cooked indeed (as though just gently warmed all the way through at low temp, rather than well-done on the outside and under-cooked in the middle). The skin was nicely sizzled and delicious, however, so how this was done, I don't know, nor whether it was intentional, certainly unusual! It was slightly disconcerting, as it was still slightly translucent and very soft in texture, but I think I liked it. Veggies were beautifully seasoned, and generous. We only had one course, and no wine, so I can't say much more.

The tables were quite close together, and it was busy (for a weekday lunchtime, a good sign), so the room was quite noisy, quite hard to hear each other. This might be problematic in the evenings when diners might be a bit merrier, hence "only" three stars for ambiance.

Once or twice it was a little difficult to get staff attention, but otherwise the service was professional and appropriate.

I'd go back to try the other interesting sounding dishes on the menu.

Cabotte is a true gem. Brilliant food prepared and presented in an honest and transparent way. The wine list is like going to the candy shop as a child, except mom and dad don't tell you the limit is one bar. Will go there anytime I'm in London.

Had a lovely meal for my boyfriend’s birthday. The wild mushroom risotto, beef cheek and apple tarte tatin are AMAZING! My boyfriend was presented with a slice of cake with a happy birthday message written in white chocolate sauce with a candle for him to blow out . That was a great end to our night :-)

Dear Cabotte, I brought a friend who owns a west end restaurant to your restaurant on Monday. Were shown to table but a wine bucket was left in the way (maybe move it so guests can be seated!)
Waitress (Ursuline) asked us if we wanted plate of charcuterie for starters as we had not ordered any. (Answer, no, we were just having a quick lunch, hence no starters). Also, our order of one main course seemed inadequate for Ursuline who was quite insistent we ordered some sides. And then she asked if we wanted truffles on top of each course, which was for a supplement (undisclosed amount).
I think service (although charming) could be better.

Excellently prepared seasonal food innovatively assembled in a comfortable setting without the pomp and flummery surrounding of many other City restaurants.Good acoustics for a business conversation. One criticism- why does this establishment like so many restaurants allow a diner to taste the first bottle of wine before pouring and then recklessly pour subsequent bottles unchecked? It demonstrates a complete misunderstanding of the purpose of trying the wine prior to serving which is particularly galling in a restaurant that emphasises its fine wine credentials.

Dinner at Cabotte was an interesting experience. The charcuterie platter was epic in portion & quality. The main of duo of pork & William pear was a delight and the tarte tartin was tremendous. Very accomplished cooking with a regional twist. The full wine list was never ending in choice and quality.
the only criticism was the level of noise. A lot of hard surfaces does little to baffle the sound coming from other tables.

I love the feel of this place which is based on the food and wines of Burgundy. The restaurant was busy yet the atmosphere was relaxed. We really enjoyed our fresh mackerel and gnocchi starter and the legendary tarte tatin was so worth it! We will definitely return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed by friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff. The wine list is long and to make it easier to choose there is also a short list and wines range from affordable to expensive.

Went for the wine, and did not disappoint, but will return for both the food and the wine. The wine list is well-designed and caters for every budget, but if you are inclined to splurge, this is the place to do it.
