Most restaurants have good days and less good; La Cabotte maintains its consistency. Whenever I go, with whomever, for whatever reasons, it also delivers.
Presentation and quality of food was excellent, as was service. Would recommend.
Very good food, wine and atmosphere - definitely worth going to time and time again! Good ingredients, seasonal choices and great wine list too!
The food was really good and A+ service. Definitely will come again. ：）
Marvellous warm welcome, brilliant wines, excellent service. A great evening.
Decent restaurant in a part of town in need of such places. Food selection was interesting and well presented.
The food was beautifully cooked and presented. The service was subtle but attentive.
Wonderful food and terrific service Great staff
Cabotte is a beautiful place. Interior like a Parisian Salon. Head chef Edward Boarland & team prepare authentic French cuisine of a top notch quality. Freshness & originality are of the highest quality at this beautiful Bank restaurant. Staff is excellent, kindest people, great service very hospitable! I loved my visit. It was a special treat.
A very good restaurant with excellent service, a couple of items not available fro the menu but generally a good selection available, excellent wine list with options at every level.
Yeah really good food like 10/10 and the chairs were reasonably comfortable
It was okay but left disappointed as had previously heard good reports. It took over 20 mins to get a wine list (I had to ask) and my lamb was cold.
As always tasty food. Sometimes the portions are on the small side but all dishes were good this time. Great for business lunch when you want something one step up but not overly showy.
Have not been to a restaurant where everything was and tasted great. From the bread to our starters, main dishes and desert it was excellent and I am usually difficukt with food.
Not bad. Might not be the best for the city. Would have chosen elsewhere
This restaurant has a reputation for the best burgundy wine list in London and the reputation is well earned!
Being able to buy such a wide range of wines by the glass is a plus
It was a very good experience
So much to like about Cabotte. Delicious meaty scallops - that day every table seemed to be having them ! All the food was excellent, no exceptions with a wonderful Tarte Tatin at the end . I liked the atmosphere and décor - tasteful old-fashioned French. We - two ladies in their seventies experienced delightful service from Virgile, she was so pleasant and very good at 'reading' our needs. Only problem - a very noisy man at the next table who talked incessantly about rugby as if shouting encouragement from the touchline. However he left and we continued in peace.
A twice yearly meeting of old university friends. 49 years since we met. As ever the food was terrific, the service impeccable and the wines a joy for any burgnut!
Long may they prosper. This is proper hospitality
Lovely food and friendly, attentive service. Have visited at lunchtime and for dinner, both occasions excellent.
Very good attentive service and good food. Next time I will have wine
Excellent food, duck eggs were great. Good service and a good rehearsal for my forthcoming trip to Beaune.
Very good food, but the portions are slightly too small.
Excellent service with very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food - would recommend the blood orange and honey for dessert.
Lovely ambience in the venue, nice that the room was a little brighter than most other restaurants I've been to.
Surprised us with an entire birthday dessert too! 100% return to and recommend with confidence.
Cabotte offers the robust cooking of Burgundy, so think boeuf bourginon and the like, perhaps to be followed by apple tarte tatin. The room is split into dining room and wine bar, and they great feature of the place is the wine list, one of the best in London. It is especially string in Burgundy, and prices are unusually moderate by London standards. Recommended.
The food and the ambience were good but although the starter arrived in good time, we waited almost an hour for our main course after we had finished our starter. As this was a business lunch, this delay was unacceptable. The waiting staff were very apologetic but were unable to hurry things up in the kitchen. Hopefully, this was a one off problem in the kitchen!
Good French cuisine with friendly staff and perfect atmosphere.
This was our first visit, what a great find. We will be back!
The food and service were brilliant
Fantastic food, great flavour and good value for money. Only 2 other tables with diners in restaurant and we were sat in-between the 2 whilst rest of the restaurant was empty. Tables very close together only just squeeze between them and I'm a size 10!
Service is friendly but erratic
The staff were very attentive and courteous. I would recommend for any occasion. Lunchtime can be mainly used as a business lunch but evening any occasion.
food was great as always. Apple Tart was so nice, my friend recommended this restaurant and we all love it.
Absolutely wonderful wine selection and the service was attentive but not intrusive. Our waitress, Ursuline gave great recommendations for food and the co-owner sommelier suggested a smooth and medium bodied pairing.
The restaurant was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and Mr Brand has today booked to come back in early April. I think this may become a firm favourite.
We had salmon, which was very lightly-cooked indeed (as though just gently warmed all the way through at low temp, rather than well-done on the outside and under-cooked in the middle). The skin was nicely sizzled and delicious, however, so how this was done, I don't know, nor whether it was intentional, certainly unusual! It was slightly disconcerting, as it was still slightly translucent and very soft in texture, but I think I liked it. Veggies were beautifully seasoned, and generous. We only had one course, and no wine, so I can't say much more.
The tables were quite close together, and it was busy (for a weekday lunchtime, a good sign), so the room was quite noisy, quite hard to hear each other. This might be problematic in the evenings when diners might be a bit merrier, hence "only" three stars for ambiance.
Once or twice it was a little difficult to get staff attention, but otherwise the service was professional and appropriate.
I'd go back to try the other interesting sounding dishes on the menu.
An excellent provided at Cabotte, where the food is exquisite and at a reasonable price.
Cabotte is a true gem. Brilliant food prepared and presented in an honest and transparent way. The wine list is like going to the candy shop as a child, except mom and dad don't tell you the limit is one bar. Will go there anytime I'm in London.
In a word brilliant. But please do not go, I wont be able to get a table in the future.
Cabotte is our go-to restaurant in London, which is great for any occasion, including business lunch.
