Absolutely love this place. The service was a little slow on the night because of a party upstairs but they kept us informed. The sharing taste tartin is amazing but they didn’t have any left when we went to order. Due to that and the slower than usual service they kindly took 20% off the food without asking. Quality care.
Consistently excellent food, wine and service. Went twice on Tuesday - business lunch and then popped in after work with friends. Top spot!
The evening started well and all starters were of a high quality. Our group of 6 chose the special of sirloin steak and king prawns. Sometime after placing the order, our waiter returned to inform us that there were only 5 steaks left and no king prawns but they could substitute the latter with clams. On this basis 2 of our group changed their orders. Of the 4 sirloins delivered 2 were poor. The biggest criticism was that they ran out of potatoes! We ordered a number of side dishes including creamed potatoes only to be informed there were no potatoes. At 8pm that is inexcusable. Send a staff member to Tesco Metro to buy some. I chose this restaurant on the basis of its reviews on Open Table so I can only conclude they were having a bad night. We won't be back.
If you like excellent food and world-class wine, wrapped up in a completely accessible package, this restaurant is a must. The reality is, Cabotte is world class. And I am almost reticent to write such a good review because I don’t want the place to become so well known that I can’t get a table when I am in London. But it’s a price I am willing to pay to help spread the gospel.
Really excellent early supper - pretty good service and ambience
Great warm welcome, super friendly and efficient service. Excellent light food from intelligent menu. And the wine list is truly superior. Worth a detour.
lovely place for everyday dining or a business meal
The service at Cabotte is friendly and assured. My guests both thoroughly enjoyed their food, including the side dishes (particularly the Vesuvio tomatoes). As a vegetarian my choices were limited, and it was a pity that the first-course salad was not available; the alternative consomme lacked depth and variety of flavour. Our sommelier's choice of wine was spot on. The noise level was high (unsurprising given the size of room, mirrors and number of tables), but not overwhelming.
Wine to die for, good food and very efficient good service.
I eat at Cabotte regularly as it is close to work. The food is excellent and the wine list outstanding. The restaurant is extremely welcoming and the staff friendly and attentive.
Really enjoyable meal, delicious food, wonderful wine list, room is characterful but not formal/stuffy.
Our second visit to Cabotte - and won't be the last. Excellent food and very good service.
Another very decent lunch, good wine/food and service- a very much go-to place for great food
I enjoyed a good meal, with interesting menu, and very tasty food. Feel this was good value, and in and lout in 90 minutes!
Great - especially for wine lovers. Food was also very good, I strongly recommend.
Quality food, impressive wine list and lovely service. All around success.
Lovely food: loved the sweetbreads. Nice wines by the glass and friendly and welcoming service. Recommended!
Most restaurants have good days and less good; La Cabotte maintains its consistency. Whenever I go, with whomever, for whatever reasons, it also delivers.
Presentation and quality of food was excellent, as was service. Would recommend.
Very good food, wine and atmosphere - definitely worth going to time and time again! Good ingredients, seasonal choices and great wine list too!
The food was really good and A+ service. Definitely will come again. ：）
Marvellous warm welcome, brilliant wines, excellent service. A great evening.
Decent restaurant in a part of town in need of such places. Food selection was interesting and well presented.
The food was beautifully cooked and presented. The service was subtle but attentive.
Wonderful food and terrific service Great staff
Cabotte is a beautiful place. Interior like a Parisian Salon. Head chef Edward Boarland & team prepare authentic French cuisine of a top notch quality. Freshness & originality are of the highest quality at this beautiful Bank restaurant. Staff is excellent, kindest people, great service very hospitable! I loved my visit. It was a special treat.
A very good restaurant with excellent service, a couple of items not available fro the menu but generally a good selection available, excellent wine list with options at every level.
Yeah really good food like 10/10 and the chairs were reasonably comfortable
It was okay but left disappointed as had previously heard good reports. It took over 20 mins to get a wine list (I had to ask) and my lamb was cold.
As always tasty food. Sometimes the portions are on the small side but all dishes were good this time. Great for business lunch when you want something one step up but not overly showy.
Have not been to a restaurant where everything was and tasted great. From the bread to our starters, main dishes and desert it was excellent and I am usually difficukt with food.
Not bad. Might not be the best for the city. Would have chosen elsewhere
This restaurant has a reputation for the best burgundy wine list in London and the reputation is well earned!
Being able to buy such a wide range of wines by the glass is a plus
It was a very good experience
So much to like about Cabotte. Delicious meaty scallops - that day every table seemed to be having them ! All the food was excellent, no exceptions with a wonderful Tarte Tatin at the end . I liked the atmosphere and décor - tasteful old-fashioned French. We - two ladies in their seventies experienced delightful service from Virgile, she was so pleasant and very good at 'reading' our needs. Only problem - a very noisy man at the next table who talked incessantly about rugby as if shouting encouragement from the touchline. However he left and we continued in peace.
A twice yearly meeting of old university friends. 49 years since we met. As ever the food was terrific, the service impeccable and the wines a joy for any burgnut!
Long may they prosper. This is proper hospitality
Lovely food and friendly, attentive service. Have visited at lunchtime and for dinner, both occasions excellent.
Very good attentive service and good food. Next time I will have wine
Excellent food, duck eggs were great. Good service and a good rehearsal for my forthcoming trip to Beaune.
