Named after the small huts that Burgundy winegrowers have within their vineyards, the feel of the restaurant is that of a traditional local bistro in the French countryside. With traditional dishes and modern twists, the seasonal menu and daily specials will showcase the very best ingredients.

Great place but temperature in the room was quite low on the day, I hope they fix it
Lovely small restaurant with friendly and efficient servers. Sommelier Simon is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge; a pleasure to discuss wine with him. Excellent wine list here is especially deep in Burgundies, and given the quality of the listings, fairly priced. Small menu highlights quality ingredients, prepared well and nicely presented. We especially enjoyed the fish dishes, after starting with very fresh oysters and nice assortment of charcuterie. One of our must-go restaurants in London. Delightful!
I need to thank everyone who looked after us during our dinner last Friday with special mention to Simon and everyone on his team who made us feel like home.
Thank you so much, Looking forward to my next trip to London and have dinner at Cabotte.
Terrific as always. Immaculate service. Great food and excellent wines
Food, wine and service were all outstanding. What more do you need? Just fabulous.
Lovely, independent and fresh and love the focus on Burgundy wines
Lovely food, waiter was great. Wine is beautiful, quite pricey overall but an enjoyable experience.
What a lovely place! Having walked past it many times, I took the opportunity to take a friend as a birthday treat and was not disappointed. It looks quite small from outside, but opens up at the back to a charming and cosy restaurant. The service was excellent, as was the food - we both started with asparagus - divine garlic mayo - and then had the beef with a side of new potatoes, and it was all perfectly cooked and just the right size serving. We couldn't resist sharing the tarte tatin afterwards - so decadent with whipped cream - before we tore ourselves away. The sommelier chose the wine for each course at our request, which was good, although we did swap the first 2 glasses as we each preferred the other's taste! I would definitely return.
Excellent food, all well prepared and imaginatively created, with very good service and in a pleasant modern Burgundian bistro atmosphere. The wines were excellent and from an extensive and varied list, with a price range from thirty something to three thousand plus. There is unashamedly an emphasis on the great wines from Burgundy but many others from around the world.
Delightful resteraunt with superb food and attentive but discreet service. My personal favourite in the City.
It's a city establishment, so a bit over priced, tables rammed in to maximise yield.
The food is of a good standard. The wine list is operating on too high a multiple really, but with a broad selection from Burgundy , as you'd expect.
Tables VERY close together. A touch of French arrogance in the service.
Great food and service - pity I had to pass on the wines on this occasion! 👍
Imaginative French cooking and friendly service in an unexpected location in Gresham Street
Exquisite - lovely service and food was beautiful, wines superb.
The wine list is superb and the sommelier was very ! knowledgable. My only real criticism was that my ”stuffed lamb saddle” was a single lamb cutletb, which at £29 was disappointing.o S. Ii
Really like this place. The food is so very good and the staff v friendly. Two observations were that there was no break between starters and main! Secondly my dinner partner was wanting a glass of wine but the somellier had to be involved and 20 mins later we got a loverly bottle of wine but there was way too much faffing around.
This is an excellent restaurant which is the least “City” restaurant in the City. Decor is shabby chic, wine list is affordable and delicious, service very friendly and food excellent with plenty for different tastebuds.
Great ambiance but very noisy when full. Food was wonderful and oysters I had were amazing. Very good wine choices. Would definitely visit again.
Special ;let’s keep it a secret . Great food , a brillaiant team and amazing wine list
Excellent catering for gluten free and dairy free needs. Great help with the wine list, I would only add that there was not much choice for vegetarians.
Seated next to an extremely loud party when there were plenty of other tables. Food was so-so, not nearly as nice as french food I've had in other locations. Lamb was extremely fatty and very little meat.
Excellent food and an even better wine list - one where you can enjoy a good read and find either an old favourite or something new/unexpected
Unfortunately the service this time was poor and lacking. The food and wine however were great
Very good food perfectly cooked. Celariac did not taste good - slightly rancid oily taste ? But everything else perfectly delicious . I like the fact that very good wine is available by the glass. This is a terrific place and the service is very good - friendly and quick. a very pleasant evening.
We had a party of 6 and they kindly put us in a private dining room for free! Lunch was superb. Worked in the area for ten years and only just found this French gem
Excellent special for the day! Had a fantastic time and all on time!
Took the boyfriend here for his birthday, shame it has taken so long to get here. The menu was well priced, and some lovely little touches that really raised the bar. But I was really here for he wine, and the list did not disappoint. Amiga did a great job as sommelier selecting a stunning little number in Robert Groffier’s gevry chambertin les seivrees 2011 - the last bottle I am afraid! We had oysters and duck eggs with asparagus as starters followed by lamb and chicken two ways, one as a delicious pie and one breast with truffles, but not too overpowering. A 5 cheese plate helped finish the wine off.
Good food but small portions. Small attentive at first but when seated at table, I took them a while to serve us.
Excellent choices of wine willing perfectly matched the food we ate.
Very attentive staff and very good service
Service levels were poor both for food and wine. Often we had to ask for attention. Choosing the wine was not that smooth, and on two occasions they then didn’t have what we had chosen. However food was very good.
Reassuring expensive. Vigil is a fantastic host and super knowledgeable about food and wine.
I dined by myself at the bar and it was a perfect experience from start to finish. Lovely, kind staff, perfect and exciting food and the wine list is clearly the major draw. The Antoine Jobard flight was moving. Thank you everyone for a perfect evening.
A really nice place for a good and quiet City lunch.
we went there for a business lunch. It was surprisingly quiet so conversation was easy. Waiters were attentive and quick, food was outstanding - small portions but with finesse. Prices were not cheap but given the quality actually more than acceptable.
It’s a cracking place to eat, great food, great wine list and really enjoyable experience and good value for money! Always a pleasure and will be back there again soon
Easily accessible by public transport and in the historic central City of London, the restaurant has a welcoming ambience and friendly, attentive service. The French-style cuisine is delicious and well-presented in a contemporary way. Staff are expert in wines of which there is a wide spectrum to chose - with modest quantities to hand if you have a meeting to attend. Strongly recommended.
Heard about Cabotte through a family member. Booked lunch for three, front of house team greeted all of us with enthusiasm and purpose. Lunch menu great choice and variety of dishes, the ones we had were beautifully prepared, cooked to perfection, fresh and thoughtly plated. The sommelier was helpful and knowledgeable in reccomending an excellent, Bourgogne Blanc,
As always we were well received, well looked after. Food was delicious and wines excellent
Really good burgundy centric restaurant. Rustic, friendly and great quality. Lovely burgundy wine list, price reasonable . Great for business lunch or dinner, or mid afternoon glass of vino.
