Cacio e Vino
With its prime location and singularly Sicilian flair, ‘Cacio e Vino’ is a dining experience that you need to try and that will be like no other.
Only real issue, though significant, is the noise level which makes it very difficult to speak with and hear the the people you are dining with. Food was delicious and service good!
Energetic noise level is not the right description. Unbelievably loud is more accurate. We had trouble hearing one another across our table. And, this was with the front wall of doors being open. I can't imagine the decibels in the winter. They need to take steps to deafen the noise.
Good food, reasonable prices, friendly service . Authentic southern Italian dishes. Varied menu.
They took lovely care of us on our bachelorette party and brought out a special dessert and sparkler at the end. The food was prompt and good quality. Didn't blow me away, but relatively special. I found it to be very loud.
I’ve been in NYC for 3.5 years and Cacio e Vino has always been one of my favorite pizzerias in the city. Today I’ve been back after a while and although the service was great I had a disappointing surprise at the end. 20% gratuity was included in the tip which has never been common there. I asked for clarifications and the Italian “manager” answered that maybe they thought I was a tourist... what a poor impression! So it’s very clear they’re trying to take advantage of tourists as in NYC gratuity should not be included unless for group of people. So sad to hear that! And he’s not even tried to justify that in a better way or to apologize offering something. I was used to be there also for Tuesday’s events but honestly I’ll not go back, I don’t like being played like that. Pay attention to your bills!
Amaxing authentic Italian. Had Cacio Pepe made the right way with the wheel of cheese.
The pasta and pizza was delicious! Get the pasta served out of the giant wheel of pecorino and the prosciutto pizza!
Service was awful. They rushed us out of the restaurant with no one there. They also gave us a very expensive wine without consulting us. Food was fine but can find better
Very filling and excellent pasta!
Consistently very good food. Pizza is fantastico Wonderful staff.
Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart and had great recommendations. The pasta was FRESH and delicious. It was the perfect spot on a summer evening to eat pasta and chill out. It can be a bit noisy but the prices are amazing for the food and portions you get. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great occasion spot or just to have a nice group foodie session.
Awesome food! Ask for the pasta volcano you won’t be disappointed:)
Everything was amazing! Food, service, ambience! Highly recommend....
Had a lovely dinner with a group of friends! Waiters were very attentive and food was great!
Fantastic pizza!!!! Very, very loud on a Friday night!!! Other nights are much easier to hear!!!
Really relaxed and great atmosphere
Just great. The grilled seafood was the freshest I’ve had in ages. Perfectly done.
We continue to find surprises in this sumptuous menu. Peasanos, and paesanos at heart, you will be coming home. We will return again and again and again.
If you want a real Sicilian experience, please go to Cacio e Vino! The food is great. The place is lovely. You will feel at your "casa".
Always love going there for the best authentic Italian food. It's the third time we found ourselves overwhelmed by large groups taking over with just too much noise and basically behaving as being in their own home. I guess the manager felt that way too and offered a fantastic dessert to share. We will come back for sure, but we will ask if there are any big groups while we plan to be there.
Always great food at Cacio e Vino. They were able to take a reservation for 10 and we were sat on time at a comfortable table. It’s a bit noisy so if that’s a problem maybe sit towards the front. Service is always great
I came with a large party and we had an excellent time. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive. The seating is a little tight and it can get loud, but I’d definitely return.
Always the best!!! Amazing food, wine list, great atmosphere. Giusto, Gabriella, Fabrizio and the entire staff make us feel so special !!!
Always a treat especially good because we came later when it was not too crowded. Fabrizio & Gabriella are great always and the food inventive and superb. Pizza with 3 cheeses, truffle oil and speck not to be missed
Unique Italian options! All very good! It get super crowded and noisy though, which is too bad. The service was a bit rushed but considering they were busy I didn't mind too much.
Delicious food. There was only one waiter on duty for the entire dining room which was not enough to get the best service.
The place is amazing. Great Italian restaurant with a dynamic atmosphere. We were a group of friends and the staff managed to add more seats as we had a bigger group than planned.
The food was very good and the wine too.
Excellent food and service. Regional dishes from Sicily that are delicious. Highly recommended.
Everything was great!
Wonderful! Great atmosphere
I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. We love the food, the owner, the staff. Tonight we took our friends who never ate here and they can’t wait to come back and bring more people with them. The grilled octopus, the pastas, pizza, desserts, amazing . Great wine list, especially the Sicilian wines.
Amazing !!!! Best place I’ve tried in a long time. Staff is amazing food is out of this world I would give it ten stars
I almost hate to admit how outstanding this restaurant is because I want to keep it all for myself. Favorite in all of NYC.
We had a great meal - will definitely be back!
Haven't been there in a few years and it was a blissful reunion. Pasta con Sarde was wonderful and so was the gnocchi in lamb ragu. Great pizza too! Friendly and efficient staff round it all out.
The service was great and the food was incredible! It’s a quaint restaurant and perfect for a low key dinner. The burrata and pizza rivaled meals I’ve had in Italy. I would definitely return!
They are constantly in a rush to get customers in and out, other than that the food was AMAZING. Nutella pizza is a MUST
Pasta was delicious and our waiter was friendly. Great lighting/ambiance, perfect for a casual friends dinner
Very very good - delicious options - Sicilian dishes - slightly different than the usual Italian fare - great neighborhood to peruse
