Excellent food, well presented and good service. We had a couple of vurgers... and the potatoes were amazing!
We were so excited to do the vegan afternoon tea but were highly disappointed. The staff was slow and inattentive and the food was overpriced and mediocre.... 🙁
Everything was great except some elements of the service. Having no staff on hand at all when your supposed to be open is a bit odd. Also, I'm not sure calling your customers "darling" is always OK. Maybe it's supposed to be friendly. Maybe it is.
We had vegan afternoon tea and had to come back for breakfast. Delicious, inventive and excellent service.
Unfortunately the food was not really great, the bread felt that it was on the air for hours, the Ambiente is not really friendly. We will not come again.
How incredible to be able to walk in to a place and for everything to be 100 percent vegan! Went for the cooked breakfast because I wanted to try out the buffet that comes with it. Cooked breakfast for nice but I was disappointed that the sausages were very clearly a big brand, frozen type rather than homemade. Vegan wholemeal croissants were tasty and not too heavy as vegan pastries can sometimes be. The vanilla iced coffee was divine. I’ll be returning to try the Bircher muesli and French toast. Very cool, stylish hotel and attentive service.
We had high expectations for our lunch. However, there were quite a few issues on the day. There was a slight delay to be seated to start with. The room was very dark and could have done with some candles or additional lighting. It was rather disappointing that it had not been made clearer on the website that the restaurants serves no alcohol. Our soft drinks were placed on the table including a bottle of sparkling water. I poured the water by myself. My husband and I both ordered the mushroom bourguignon pie. Unfortunately both of out dishes were stone cold and the food had to be sent back. Our hot replacement pies were extremely tasty and satisfying. We also sampled couple of desserts. My husband loved these but I found them too sweet. Service was overall attentive and I understand there had been some staffing issues on the day which would likely explain our experience. There was an offer to take some items off the bill at the end but by this point we had already paid. This could have been a great lunch but due to multiple issues I am hesitant to return.
I booked a table to take my partner for a birthday treat and we had the afternoon tea.
The sandwiches were really tasty (my favourite is the carrot "salmon") and the passtiserie selection amazing!
It also has scones with cream and berry jam and you can choose your tea or coffee from the drinks menu.
We had one of the tables outside, lovely! I would recommend a visit to vegans and non-vegans alike :-)
Gorgeous lunch in shady patio. Food beautifully presented & lovely servers. Vegan loveliness.
Amazing vegan afternoon tea. Staff were very friendly and made my husband's birthday feel special. We sat outside which was lovely. Would definitely recommend to others.
