Cafe Gratitude - Arts District
Awakening / Key Lime Pie
avocado custard, whipped cream, monk fruit, pecan crust (sugar-free)
Eclectic / Buffalo Cauliflower
breaded cauliflower, adobo buffalo sauce, celery, ranch dressing
Two menu items we ordered were not available ... one was being phased out, and they didn’t have the main ingredient for another. There was ample time for the restaurant to advise us of these, but they chose to wait until we deliberated the menu and constructed our desired meal before letting us know. Everything else was great though!
Food was delicious! Service was very friendly and attentive.
Fabolous environment and very good taste !! I love it
Super slooooow service. Service non existent. Food cAme out in 45 min. No apology. Server who appeared to be the manager never checked in. Not child friendly. The tables are filthy and the cups are dirty. My wipes were black upon wiping them. Horrible.
I’ve been to several other Café gratitude locations however this one lacked in flavor. The waitress wasn’t accommodating and friendly as other locations.
We went for Valentine’s Day and the food is fantastic! A bit crowded but that comes with the territory
We love their creative menu. Every time we dine there, we are treated like VIP guests. There staff all act as though they love doing their job.
Food is great. Try the burrito. It’s delish. Great cocktails too.
I went during restaurant and had an eggplant parmesan-style dish that was limited edition. It was PHENOMENAL!
I hate to leave this review because I love what Cafe Gratitude stands for, but honestly tonight is the last time I’ll be dining here. I am mostly annoyed at myself for going yet again- tonight’s meal is my fourth experience in a row at this location that has been severely disappointing.
I have several family members whose vegan or vegetarian so this is always my go to spot to take them out. Tonight we went for my mother’s birthday and also to take advantage of the DineLA specials.
We ordered our food and nearly 40 minutes it hadn’t arrived nor had our waitress checked on us. Our first course was salad plus my toddler was with us and she was getting very fussy as she was hungry and that is an unreasonable amount of time. I got to from our table carrying my daughter to find the waitress to follow up. Shortly thereafter our food came... salads that came with mushroom bacon. I kid you not my salad had one sliver of mushroom. I asked for a manager to come over and he promised to bring more out plus another set of utensils and hot sauce. The mushrooms did come but the hot sauce and utensils never did so I found myself a set from another table. Our reservation was for 6:30 om and we were also told when we sat down that one of the dessert options for the evening was already sold out. I can only assume with a mostly empty dining room this was a result of bad planning and not of an unexpected amount of diners for the evening.
I am truly kicking myself for wasting money on this spot. I have had better luck at the Larchmont location but honestly after tonight I won’t be visiting any of their locations. I really hope things turn around for them, they are an LA staple and I’m all for plant based dining options but wow, never again. Dine here with caution and don’t end up like me $100+ dollars later for a mediocre meal for 2 with simpterrible service.
Great food & service! Love plant based dining!
Our server was outstanding as is usually the case at Cafe Gratitude. The Arts District is my favorite because of the service and ambiance.
New Year’s Day brunch spot!
Pre theater dining. Not a great choice if you need to get served and out quickly.
Good food, friendly, nice ambiance. Will go again when I’m not in BBC a rush.
Excellent food for a vegan restaurant. Good vibes and tranquil setting. Great message.
Delicious, organic food! They raised their prices a bit, but the quality is still great. Great service too.
Really enjoyed my dinner experience. Great service, great food, great restaurant.
Food was amazing!!!
Too loud, couldn't hear people at table. But great food.
This is a nice restaurant. The food was good as well as the service. It would be perfect for a night out with friends or even a date.
I am Glorious: The Blackened Tempeh Caesar Wrap is my favorite go to when dining here. Fresh, delicious and very satisfying! The side of fries served with it was also tasty and stayed crispy throughout my whole meal. The I am Glowing (pressed juice) was refreshing and cooling. I loved the mixture of carrot, ginger, turmeric, yogurt coconut and probiotics inside. I would get both of these items again. The service was also great! The servers were attentive and got me anything else I needed. Otherwise, they left me to enjoy my meal and I didn't feel rushed at all.
My daughter is a vegetarian so I was pleased to find this place to take her while I was visiting LA (she's a student there). She doesn't usually have trouble finding things to eat and mainstream restaurants, but she was absolutely thrilled to have a large menu of selections to choose from.
She had the pesto pasta, and I tasted it too, and it was excellent. The pasta was clearly home made. My daughter's description, "if macaroni and ravioli had a baby, this would be it."
I had the enchiladas. Outstanding. I'm an omnivore, so i was really surprised to find such tasty and creative preparations.
For desert we had the skillet cookie with "ice cream" on top. This place is vegan, so I don't know what the ice cream was. I thought it was delicious. IMO, the cookie was too much chocolate and too little cookie, but my daughter had the opposite reaction. So there.
I'd recommend, and eat here again.
They were very helpful with my nut allergies. It’s not easy being vegan and allergic to nuts. Will come back!
Everything was amazing! From the coconut calamari to the kids Mac n cheese, we loved every bite and every moment! Definitely coming back!
Food was delicious and healthy. The staff was friendly, courteous, and very attentive.
Wonder concept and experience, the food was delicious and the service was great!
Enjoyed eating vegan at Cafe Gratitude. The food was good and plenty of it. It did get quite crowded around 12:15pm which did slow down service and the noise level did get a bit high but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is a true vegan. A word of caution, for people who have allergies and asthma better check to see what ingredients are being used.
Best vegan food we’ve had. Enjoyed the creativity and all of the flavors! Best of all, our server was great and was a perfect person to represent this restaurant!
Awesome place 💜💚❤️
Loraine was amaaaaazing 👏👏👏👌👍
I love this location! Spacious and open. Great service and friendly people. Food is always amazing!
It’s always a great spot to have a meal or just some coffee. I love it. Food never disappoints.
Always an excellent choice for great comfort food . . .
I didn't think the food was very good. My dish was tasteless and barely warm.
3rd or 4th visit here. Service good. Flavors overall not like they used to be in my opinion. Still will likely come back here again in the next year.
Love Cafe Gratitude. Huge selection of food from this plant based restaurant. Even my non vegan friends like the food served at this restaurant.
excellent food and very attentive service . . . Hannah is a knowledgeable and friendly waitperson.
Amazing experience! Amazing vibes! The food was absolute delicious and filling, yet so fresh and unique. I will definitely go again with my family and friends. Such a warm environment - I love it here at Cafe Gratitude. Make sure you go! You will love it!
We love EAT! The food is always amazing & the staff are all super friendly. The atmosphere is fun & creative. I recommend EAT to my friends with small children too as it's very chill & family-friendly.
