I booked a table on Tuesday and the booking went successful for time slot that was well within the time limit as per google/your site.
When I reached there the restaurant was shut!
I expected at least an intimation or it shouldn't have even appeared in my search of restaurant. I don't know what is more disappointing - the restaurant or the open table.
I chose the restaurant because of its menu and price range. The menu handed to us was not what was on the website. We were told it had just changed. Choices was reduced and for me it was disappointing.
We arrived at the restaurant on time and it was closed. I guess this was due to the pandemic however the website states that they are open with social distancing measures in place and my booking was confirmed. Not happy!
Restaurant was almost empty when we arrived but we were squeezed into a window table. Service is friendly but slow particularly as there were only 3 tables. The food is good, simple. It was a bit odd that they did not have smoked salmon but did not tell us, they served thinly sliced ordinary salmon.
When we looked to leave we were kindly offered a free drink as there was going to be comedy on but that seemed odd as there was no one else in the restaurant.
I would not hurry back.
We went for a meal at cafe mode on Saturday with my family! I can’t recommend this place enough! Food was amazing and staff were attentive and really friendly! Will come back when I am in London!
Top chef and service was very fast and comedy was funny.
Good Italian quality food.
Good Italian restaurant
Lovely evening with my partner and I also had very nice Italian food.
Good food and good comedy lovely staff
Good comedy here and pizza was lovely.
Went to this restaurant on Valentine’s Day and it was an awful experience. It was understaffed, there was 2 waiters who were rushed off their feet and they simply couldn’t handle the amount of diners. Once seated we waited 15 mins for a menu. Then after a further 20 mins we still hadn’t been asked if we wanted a drink. The drinks eventually came and then after another 15 mins our food order was taken. 50 mins to order! The food then arrived and it was very average. Mains came without cutlery. Had to wait a few mins for that. I honestly asked my girlfriend if the service was part of the comedy downstairs because it was an absolute joke. The restaurant is also extremely crammed, there is a tiny gap in between tables and you can hear everyone’s conversations around you. The table next to us waited even longer to order and after 15 mins the waiter came back to say he forgot what they ordered. Another 2 guests walked out as they had waited so long to order. My advice is to avoid. The only thing that saved this place is that it’s cheap. If it had been expensive it would have been a total disaster!
Excellent food and lovely comedy.
Lovely food and lovely service with very comedy with go back again.
Was a nice comedy show and the food was also very fast overall had a nice time.

Had a lovely family birthday here meal food is originally Italian and staff and food and location was easy the find we would return again as was good value for money and the set menus are very reasonable.
Really enjoyed our evening staff and food was lovely and atmosphere was beautiful.
Best dinner experience! 5 stars!
we thought portions were not very generous, there was very little chicken in the pasta. there was a board outside advertising a free glass of prosecco with a main and were not offered it so had to ask after we had started our meal.
had read very good reviews which is why we booked but our dining experience did not match those i read about.
When i looked online at menu there were some grills but not on the menu we were shown
I had a really nice time here and food was amazing.
The Mode Cafe was a good restaurant, slightly away from the busy centre of Covent Garden. Very friendly service. My only disappointment was the size of the portions and the presentation of the meals.
We had our work do here and was very convenient and the food was lovely.
Me and my family arrived and was very quickly seated and was made comfortable and felt welcomed by the staff and the food environment was really nice.
