Serving up fresh, sumptuous Mexican delights in bustling Covent Garden, the Café Pacifico menu covers all the classics. As well as the trusty, loaded tacos and spicy enchiladas, modern, ambitious flavours feature, like baked sea bass fillet with banana leaves and sundried tomato salsa.
Famed for its buzzing, well-stocked bar, Cafe Pacifico bar and restaurant presents an unrivalled selection of premium spirits, cocktails and beers. Diners can unwind with a cooling, fruity daiquiri, or a stylish pomegranate margarita. Not forgetting the tempting dessert menu, Cafe Pacifico offers the Pacifico mud pie, or deep fried tortillas with honey, cinnamon and ice cream.
We were really looking forward to returning to Cafe Pacifico. We really enjoyed our last visit.
Unfortunately our waitress' miserable face, disgusting attitude and overall appalling service completely spoilt the entire experience. She completely sucked the life out of it. Such a shame.
Great authentic Mexican food with an authentic atmosphere
Worst and most overpriced Mexican food I’ve ever had. Save your money and avoid.
Just a lovely place, great menu and very lively.
Location is perfect.
Cafe Pacifico is as good today as it was 15yrs ago. The food is great and so is the service.
The margaritas are a must, they don’t scrimp on tequila!!!
Great place to go with a group of friends or family.
Best Mexican we've had in London. Amazing food great cocktails
First visit back in what has to be 10 years and still this place doesn’t disappoint. A location where you think it’d be a case of quick to take the tourist dollar and average food but trust me this is not the case. The staff were fantastic, left us alone to enjoy the food and ambience but attentive and on hand when needed. The food was delicious and a proper social dining experience for the 7 in our party. Brilliant cocktails where they don’t scrimp on tequila. We will not be leaving it another 10 years until our next visit. This is a great place for families looking to eat in the Covent Garden area. See you again soon Mi Amigos! 😘
Nice Mexican right beside covent garden underground. Great for theatre and only place in London that has chimichanga. Bit noisy. No ac which is a problem in summer.
We’ve been here a fair bit over the years and the food is always up to a high standard and the service excellent. Tonight for the first time we decided to have a starter of nachos. Big mistake. For £9.50 you get corn chips with cheap cheese that hasn’t quite melted. Absolutely awful and this falls short of their usual standards. Everything else was excellent though!
Love this place... Been coming for years.... Never been anything but great food and value.
I’ve been coming for many years to cafe Pacifico and very sadly the food was disappointing this time. Nice service, nice atmosphere but not The tastiest.
Great food and drinks (especially margaritas). Service could be faster and more attentive but overall very nice experience.
Good service and good food
Menu is more authentic than last time I was there.
Downsides: I ordered tacos al pastor however the presentation was interesting but meat with the tortillas on the side cannot be listed on any menu as tacos
- guacamole (which was nice and fresh) served in a ramekin with a few tortilla chips, £7.50?? I’m sorry but that is really poor value. I thought it must have been part of the main course I ordered, but to my surprise it wasn’t
Music should be adding to the experience, they could have Mexican music rather than indie rock
I’d return but would avoid the overpriced guacamole and try some other main course
Great dinner thanks
Amazing food, good busy atmosphere but service also really good
Weird Tacos al Pastor with no flavour, the Nacho with Chorizo looked like no nachos I’ve ever eaten before. Not coming back
Service was wonderful. Great staff. Service very quick, if not a little too quick. Didn’t breathe between courses before next one set down!
Table was disappointing. Squeezed beside a pillar.
This used to be one of our favourite restaurants when we would come into the city, however this visit was very disappointing. The noise level was so loud that conversation was impossible unless you shouted across the table. We had prebooked a table weeks in advance and asked for a nice table as it was our 10th anniversary. When the staff showed us our table, we were wedges tightly among other tables and so close that I could hear the neighbouring shouted conversations. The food was mushy, we ordered burritos, the portions are much smaller, but no matter as the food was mushy and tasteless. I don’t think I will be coming again nor recommending to friends as I have in past. It’s quite a shame as Cafe Pacifico used to be a diamond. Now it’s a pack them in, shove sloppy food at you and get you out, overpriced for what it is now kind of place.
Excellent welcoming smile - very good fajita with margarita. Highly recommended
Great food and perfect location
Great Mexican food - excellent selection and great service.
Visited for my mothers birthday as i had heard alot of good things about cafe pacifico. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing, staff were happy and the whole vibe of the restaurant was great. To top it all off the margaritas were amazing!
Anniversary dinner / great food
Lovely atmosphere, great cocktails and food, overall a really good lively place to go.
good vibes all over - the award winning passion fruit margarita is a must!
I went on a first date (having been before with friends) . It was a Sunday evening and the atmosphere was lively, food is consistently great and staff are warm, helpful and responsive.
The decor is interesting and the music, although at times a little loud, really adds to the atmosphere.
I’d highly recommend this place as it’s good value for money, conveniently located close to Covent Garden, and the food is very tasty.
We went on a Saturday night which was a mistake. The restaurant was noisy but made worse because the tables were too close to each other. We were only 2 but we came out as if we had been shouting for 2 hours. Also the tables were sticky and felt dirty. There was no where to hang a coat and they did not take them at reception. Putting them on your chair is fine but the floor was wet all around our table. Service was very slow especially the drinks. The waitress was good but under pressure. Also we asked a clearer for cutlery and he clearly had no idea what we wanted and so we had to go and find them ourselves. We had been to the venue 5-6 times before but really came out feeling underwhelmed and we should look elsewhere. It just did not have a special feel to it: more another venue cramming in the people !! Shame
Food was excellent but overpriced! Disappointed that you had to pay extra for the guacamole (£3.75) & cheese (£1.75) to go with the fajitas ordered! Online menu prices we’re different to the restaurant menu too which was more expensive!
Been coming to Cafe Pacifico for years. Never fails...food great, ambiance great, value for money!
Nice restaurant for a casual pre-theatre meal.
We had a great time at Cafe Pacifico, service was fast and friendly - food was pretty good too.
Organised a work Xmas Do at Cafe Pacifico. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would go back.
Fire alarm went off and didn’t stop for a long time. We were even evacuated, but they did put a round on a the house. Still wasn’t very atomaspheric after that.
Usually is great in there though.
Disappointed overall. I remembered this to be a lively fun place but I am going back a few years! Maybe it was because it was still early but the place had no atmosphere. Children's size meals were good value but adults beef fajitas were very average and expensive at £19. I had to ask twice to see children's menu despite it being obvious we had 2 children with us.
Won't be going back.
Good varied menu, friendly waiting staff who gave great recommendations of food and accommodated some requests. Very good value children’s menu as well. 7 of us seated in a nice area which wasn’t too loud as had kids with us. I had visited Cafe Pacifico a few years ago and it remains a firm favourite
Excellent service, food and atmosphere!!!! We will be back very soon!! x
We order a £28 bottle of wine but we were brought their most expensive £40 bottle that was a mistake on their part as we were told that the waitress was in training and made a mistake. We were charge for £40 even though it was not what we ordered.
Arguably the best (and authentic) Mexican restaurant in the UK!
Usually the food is better but really average and tasteless this time. Service was woeful and front hostess rude and uninterested.
Great food and drinks, fun place for a get together. It is loud though so worth keeping in mind not a place if you want an intimate date.
