Buenos Aires Argentine Steakhouse - Reigate
Sunday: 09:00 - 22:30
We often come here as the food and service are always very good.
I had a booking for 8 for brunch in Christmas Eve. Despite the venue being rammed and it appearing there weren’t many serving staff on duty, they did an exceptional job. Our orders were taken in a timely way and then everything arrived without delay - including the food. Was very impressed at their ability to deal with a lot of people in the circumstances. The food was good although I think if served on warmer plates it would stay warm for longer. Thank you though for a lovely visit - always impressed!
Recent visit to cafe rouge was very disappointing, food bland and tasteless. I should have said something at the time. It’s not hard to cook an omelette and why not use good quality cheese in the sandwiches instead of a runny liquid type.
Cafe rouge has become expensive for a casual get together. The smaller but interesting menu has been restricted to before 5pm only. This reduces the choices available . Wine pricey. Reigate branch must be economising on heating - it was chilly at 7pm and got colder as evening wore on. We have been meeting here for many years and have decided to look elsewhere for our next get to together. Shame. It is an attractive venue - parking easy outside in street. Nice place to meet.
We re-visited Cafe Rouge in Reigate for an early evening meal and, once again, had a very pleasant experience. The waiting staff were friendly and professional and service quick, but not too quick. We chose the veggie Tagine and Crepes and both were well cooked and full of flavour. Although the mains were very filling, we managed to share a lemon torte for dessert. Soft drinks and house wine were fairly priced. No doubt we will return.
Light and airy restaurant with great food and service, but a bit expensive, especially for a quick lunch.
Casual lunch with parents and daughter was made extra special by the waitress who noticed I was opening birthday cards and brought my dessert with a candle in it. Nice touch, good food.
Took two attempts to bring a fillet steak that was medium rare. Waiting staff handled the situation well. However spoiled a relaxing meal with my wife.
Great food - always reliable
Came in for anniversary meal on Saturday night. It was fairly busy but that does not excuse the inedible chicken dish, nor the poor meat quality of the steak we ordered. The lovely waitress did organise a £20 refund on the bill but we won't be returning.
A lovely venue for lunch when meeting friends for a good catch up
A good evening with friends. However they had no record of my booking. It wasn't busy so it didn't matter.
The waitress seemed quite helpful when we first arrived but she was very short with my mum when she asked a question, took ages to come back and take our food order after we had ordered drinks and was generally unavailable during our time there - this was quite upsetting as it was my daughter's 6th birthday so a special occasion and there were 11 of us there; the restaurant wasn't even busy (there were only about 6 other tables occupied) - I found this very unusual for this place, normally really good service (in fact, I went with my daughter the week before which is why she chose that place for her Birthday meal)
Another faultless dining experience.
Delicious authentic French food. Despite being more of a restaurant than a café, the staff have a very personable, welcoming patter with customers, which does give the feel of a more intimate venue. The Poulet Breton, Boeuf Bourguignon and cheese board were stunning. :-D. Good to see the immaculately turned out Head Chef getting amongst it and mopping the floor in the kitchen, too!
