After an easy, quick train ride from central London we had a wonderful evening at Cafe Spice Namaste. The menu is perfect for a date night and the staff was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Both Chef and Mrs. T visited each table to welcome guests and ensure the dining experience is a lovely one. If we could offer up 10 stars, we would. Bravo!

Exquisite food, the tasting menu did not disappoint. Pervin was simply charming and could not have made us more welcome. Cyrus was doing the rounds but missed our table which was a shame. The location lets this restaurant down, felt like no mans land. Having had the tasting menu, we will be back and we know exactly what we will be ordering next time. And try the cocktails, they are fantastic.

We had been to their previous venue a few times before and this was our first visit to their new home in Royal Albert Dock, unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The menu now comprises mainly small plates and a few larger size curry dishes. The small plates were OK (lamb samosa and the vegetable uttapann from the specials board) but we did not like the curry dishes. I had the white chicken with cashew and coconut sauce, I accept it was stated as mild on the menu but I found it to have no taste at all. My partner had the goan prawn curry and he also found this to be lacking in flavour. The peshwari naan bread was very poor, it was quite dry and hard. We left most of two curries and the naan and explained to the owners why we had not liked them, to be fair they did remove them from the bill and expressed their disappointment that we had not enjoyed the food. Unfortunately I do not think we will visit again, which is a shame as we did enjoy visiting their previous home and the food served there was much better.

We did our best to accommodate their concerns to the extent of not charging them for the dishes they said they hadn’t enjoyed. We know we can’t please everyone, but we thought we had treated these guests, as we treat all others, with respect and fairness.

Great food and service with a lovely view overlooking the water. Cyrus and Praveen make you feel like part of the family, being tentative to all your needs. The staff are extremely polite and welcoming. Lovely cake surprise for my birthday, not just a small brownie but small choc cake. That was really thoughtful. The food is amazing and not rushed so you can take your time and order small dishes as you need to. Especially enjoyed the duck and chaat. Got to see cyrus at work which was an added bonus. An all round amazing experience.

Our first visit to the new venue and it certainly didn't disappoint. A new menu from the one in Tower Hill, kind of tapas style and it was all delicious. Lovely setting too and all the staff are excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

It’s a small dish menu so we ordered plenty. Some dishes like the samosa chat were very tasty but the Dhal was pretty bland and the naan was crunchy. Very expensive over all. Nice, relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. Don’t think we’d return though. Just wanted more taste

Absolutely fabulous -the staff are always brilliant and when we asked them to bring a selection of food x 4 rather than go for the tasting menu (and not being able to choose ourselves from the amazing menu) the selection was wonderfully chosen. I’d forgotten what heaven on a plate could taste like. Even though it’s a little more of a trek to get there - I’ll be back on a regular basis. Our friends from Munich described it as the best Indian food they have had. Really deserves to excel in its new location and be there for another 25 years

We tried the tasting menu which was amazing. Way too much food, only do this if you are REALLY hungry. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive and really made the evening special. Cyrus came over and chatted with us which was lovely. Thoroughly recommend it.

My first visit to the new premises and it didn't disappoint! It was the hottest UK day on record, and their A/C had given up working so it was hot, but they had placed fans everywhere and the doors were all open, so there was a lovely breeze. Food and service were superb, exactly what I have come to expect from this restaurant. I would recommend a visit to anyone.

Our first visit to this new location of our favourite Indian restaurant. Cyrus & Pervin were as always perfect hosts. Menu wise we were not sure if the new 'Tapas' style menu would suit Indian cuisine, but it does, with expert advice from Pervin you can try many different dishes instead of the usual starter & main options. I wish them every success in their venture.

Superb food, spoilt for choice on the menu. We asked for help on what to choose and we were not disappointed. And to complete a fantastic dining experience we were greeted by Cyrus himself and his good lady wife. Cyrus is a food hero of my husbands and a thoroughly nice guy. The staff were so helpful and at-tentative. Overall we had a meal on a different level to any other Indian meal we have had and it was a fantastic experience. Thank you cafe spice.
