About

Cah-chi Korean Restaurant in Earlsfield, London, is a fun and buzzy place for group dining. Located on Garratt Lane, Cah-chi has a bright green shop front and a slightly more subdued neutral interior with polished wooden floors, taupe walls and trendy wallpaper. The vibe here is down-to-earth, and we love the traditional table-barbecues which are fantastic for dinner parties. You can byo wine here for only £3 per bottle corkage, and the menu is filled with favourites such as the Man-du soup – a homemade pork and vegetable dumpling broth; the barbecued pork belly served with sesame oil and salt; and the fantastically named O-jing-o Dup-bab – fried calamari and vegetables in a spicy sauce served with rice.

As always a delicious meal. The place is so popular and packed we wish they would move to slightly larger premises. However that is a minor issue when all else is so very good.

Visited on a quiet Sunday night. The service was impeccable and the food was very good. We tried al a carte, but the set menu appears to be very good value.

Cah chi was fabulous. All four items we tried tasted amazing. The food was so fresh and the server who bbqd the meat for us did an excellent job.
We had the fried chicken (super fresh and flavoursome), seafood pancake (fluffy and crisp definitely one of the best I've had), chilli pork bulgogi (amazing flavour and cooked to perfection in front of us. The lettuce cups and miso worked so well), chicken bibimbap (so perfect that I got it again for takeaway the next day).

I really enjoyed the food and dining experience at Cah Chi, with the BBQ set in the middle of our table. We went on a Saturday night, and it was essential to book - we wouldn't have got a table if we'd been a walk in - it was full!

Such a shame. I feel the quality of food has gone down and the price is very expensive for cheap cuts of meat. The tables are also very squashed together and they still don't accept card.

On the other hand the staff there work very hard and are very friendly.

Really enjoyed the experience. Abit pricey the starters are the same price as the main. The beef was really over priced £12.50, not much flavour not worth the money. The rice wasn't that great was more like sticky rice than boiled rice.

The food here is very good, but the main reason we love this place is that they're so lovely about small children! Our one-year-old was welcomed and chatted to by staff, and they were incredibly patient when he wanted to practice his new found skill of walking between some chairs at an empty table. Because of the hot griddles, you might not think this is a good place for small kids, but as long as you keep them safely away from the hot plate (easy for us as we had a large table), it's a really great lunch option for families. And our little one loved sharing a bento box with his parents!

As nice as the food was, I have honestly never been anywhere with such bad service. Firstly they rang me in the day to see if I could push my booking back by an hour - which was fine, these things happen. However when we arrived there was a queue of people with reservations waiting. When we finally sat down, we waiting for 30 minutes with our menus closed before having to call someone over. Our food took 80 minutes to come once ordered (considering they cook it on the table in front of you I didn't understand the wait). Every time we ordered drinks we waited 15 minutes and then went and asked the bar where they were (3 times). It seemed like no one in the restaurant was being served in a timely manner and there was no communication/apology as to why this was. There was then the nerve of leaving the service charge on the bill at the end of the night. I have no criticism of the food - however, my personal view is you are paying for decent service when you pay for a nice meal and it was abysmal - would not recommend.

Went to Cah-chi for a date, it had been recommended to me. I had never tried Korean food before. The snacks, starters and main were all very bland. I had to ask for a fork, I can't use chopsticks :(
As a vegetarian, I was very concerned that a lot of dishes said they were vegetarian but they weren't. And sometimes fish was vegetarian but sometimes it wasn't (fish is NEVER vegetarian!) for example, salmon wasn't vegetarian but baby squid is????? Wtf

I was introducing Korean cuisine to a couple of friends during a weekday evening. We had the set menu which has a good variety of dishes. The food was good quality and presented well but the portions were rather small and being used to the value of Korean cuisine in New Malden (not too far away from Earlsfield), I thought it was poor value for money. The service was excellent but the thing that annoyed me the most was that the restaurant only accepts cash or cheque. If it markets and prices itself to be more than 'cheap and cheerful', it should really accept cards.

BYOB which is always great.

Service was great with waitor cooking meat for us at BBQ on table!

Would recommend the prawn tempura, fried veggie dumplings, and the meat cooked on BBQ in the lettuce leaf wraps!

My husband, daughter and I thought we would finally eat at our local Korean restaurant, Cah Chi. Why did we wait so long. It was an oasis of calm and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was absolutely charming. Everyone seemed to be regulars as they knew what to order. It is calm and just a lovely atmosphere to eat in and immaculately decorated. We definitely will be back but will not order quite so much food. Yum.

The food was great with plenty of delicious options. The set meal seems to be a good option for those, like me who are a little indecisive at times, however, on this occasion whilst my friends opted for that, I opted for vegetarian dumplings followed by a fish rice pot and the sweet miso aubergine which I have to say was amazing. Service was excellent with lots of attention when needed, but not overly imposing.

The only downside for me was that it's quite a loud space. Not enough to dampen the noise levels and thus making a bit hard to hear each other at times when the place got busy. It wouldn't stop me going again though.

Was exploring our options, wandering along the high street, when the waitress came out and gave us a menu. We went and had a pint in a local pub, surveyed the menu, and booked a table. It appealed we could take in our own wine (not beer). Food was decent, service very good. Corkage for the wine of £4, but still makes it cheap. A nice ambiance inside, some food cooked at the table. We would visit again.
