Afternoon tea was a nice experience.
Lovely service, lovely food will definitely come back
What a delightful and delicious experience…everything we could have hoped for
A friend and I tried the sweet afternoon bubbles with champagne and throughly enjoyed each dessert. All staff were warm, welcoming and there was a great ambience; would highly recommend visiting here for fantastic dessert!
Fantastic experience, not faults. The deserts are absolutely incredible, full credit the chefs!
Service was also perfect
Delicious works of art and super service. A real treat.
Amazing food, service, experience etc. saw this place on master chef and have wanted to visit ever since. It did not disappoint. Can’t wait to go again.
Wonderful as always but the crispy air pancake, everyone's favorite, was off the menu! Hopefully only temporarily but info from staff was a bit unclear on that front.
On arrival we were left standing around for several minutes, with no acknowledgement of our existence. Eventually we were seated, well just shown a table, the staff member disappeared promptly. It would’ve been nice if they had provided us a menu or offer us water at the very least. We waited another 15 minutes before obtaining a menu. We opted for a selection of cocktails and desserts. Starting of with a Vieux Carré and chocolate corks respectively. The cocktails were astonishingly sophisticated but honestly, I expected a lot more from the cork. It turned out to be a soft, untextured and almost watery sponge filled with an average chocolate mousse with a slight crunch. It looked pretty, but lacked depth and flavour. The next course was the golden egg flan. The flan was presented beautifully and tasted good too. It had undertones of caramel, the middle was a little eggy for me, but I suppose this can be expected. It was topped with a lovely passion fruit gel. Moving on, we tried the Yuzu Castella and this was the highlight of the first round! Dusted in cocoa and filled with a delicate mousse. It oozed perfectly balanced sweet, acidic and bitter flavours, very moreish! The next course we sampled the baklava pillows, These were simply incredible! A delicate shell of sugary, nutty filo pastry filled with a gorgeous pistachio foam. It’s a beautiful reinvention of the traditionally dense sweet. The rose followed, more of a palate cleanser? This course is certainly an eye catcher but bears no resounding flavours. I’m not sure I can correlate the price. By now, we had run out of time, so we decided to jump to the final course - the cheesecake! The cheesecake was very rich, immensely creamy and flavours of hazelnut ripples through the pudding. It certainly lived up to its reputation. All in all, we had a good experience. It’s just a pity the service was not attentive and fell way too short of our expectations for an establishment like this.
We’ve had a fantastic service during the experience. Cake and bubbles was definitely worth a try and the pistachio baklava was just scrumptious!
Expected more from Albert Adria. The desserts were competent but nothing particularly memorable. Definitely not worth the price.
A very pleasant time at Cakes and Bubbles with the delicious tasting menu.
The food wasn’t warm, the dessert fell apart and the tea had zero taste despite being Moroccan Mint tea. Despite making their team aware and having our food remade, we had no nice gestures - just a waste of 100 pounds. Will never go back
Beautiful food but very overpriced! I had lobster ravioli as a main and there were literally 4 ravioli on the plate. I left the restaurant still feeling hungry
Fabulous afternoon, service was friendly and welcoming. Cheesecake was everything and more than I expected
Excellent afternoon tea, lovely atmosphere and ambience. Excellent waiter named Charlie who really made the experience extra special for my mums birthday present. I would highly recommend.
The cakes were beautifully presented and exquisite in flavour and design. The service was faultless, they took the time to explain the menu and made great recommendations. We went just after Christmas and the decorations and ambience were perfect for the festive season.
The host wasn’t sure about available she said there were no available spot for us then we left, we checked online and booked a table only half an hour later, The sweets ordered was nicely presented but not delicious ,the cheese cake was more into a cheese pudding then a cake, The bill was very height and they made us us pay 3 taxes ( food- beverages and service), The coffee was average, I won’t consider going to this place again
Portion of the food was little, other than that everything was great.
You really must come here. It is not often I can say I have eaten something I have never had before. The desserts here are out of this world and the cheesecake is not to be missed.
I went for a treat and to feel special and it totally lived up to expectations! Big thank you to all the staff! I had the three course dessert extravaganza with champagne. It was very interesting and so e of the tastes were sensational. I would not want if every day but definitely enjoyed it as an experience. I will definitely come back for another treat!
Everything I hoped it would be. Wonderful place. Delicious treats, fabulous service and location
Trading on chef reputation rather than current quality in our opinion (regular fine dining customers). Tasty but fancy cafe vibes. Cramped table settings to maximise people rather than maximise the experience.
Amazing cake/ dessert!! The waiter’s description of the food was amazing and made our mouth water!! The food, when arrived did not disappoint either.
Looking forward to go back there for the full tasting menu!!
Wasn't sure what to expect but it was a wonderful start to Christmas. Beautiful surroundings, FABULOUS cakes, excellent service - THANK YOU🎄
Beautiful and delicious with great service a really memorable treat.
Excellent desserts, excellent service. Definitely a lovely experience, staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Definitely recommend.
birthday visit. went for the cheesecake. got 2. the best.
Our visit to cakes and bubbles was an absolute delight. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely attentive, professional and all very personable. My husband and I were celebrating our 50th Wedding anniversary and attention to detail was outstanding. The dining area was decorated beautifully, your staff made us both feel special their attention to detail and explaining the individual cakes and the process that go into making them made it all the more delicious. We shall certainly be telling friends and family about our experience and when we are next in London will certainly be returning. PS. Our favourite was the cheesecake. Thank you.
Helpful and attentive staff, tasty and well-presented food
We came to get the afternoon tea and we were not disappointed. It was amazing and delicious. We will come back for sure.
A really lovely experience, staff were really attentive and helpful, fabulous food, the cheesecake was delicious.
Fabulous locatio, great service. It is expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
Great experience. Great food. Friendly, efficient staff
One of the finest culinary experiences of my life. We had the buttermilk chicken bites and fougasse to start as we thought we'd better have some savoury before the sugar attack. The chicken was astonishingly moist and flavourful, the bread perfectly baked and the accompanying sauces impeccable. Then the cakes. The baklava is unbelievably delicate with a light as air filling, beautifully sweet and nutty. The "crème brulee" filled eggshell is exquisite, the "cork" a crunchy, spongy joy and the "after eight" a lovely surprise. The rose which follows is an astonishingly sensual sensory overload, and the signature cheesecake at the end manages the impressive feat of being simultaneously ludicrously rich and delightfully light. The cocktails are punchy and gorgeous, the staff friendly and attentive without being overbearing and the ambience warm and welcoming. It was absolutely faultless and I can't wait to go again.
Fabulous experience. Wonderful patisserie, attentive service. 10 out of 10, especially the cheesecake.
Second visit to cake and bubbles. Last went two years ago, just as good as we remembered, service even better this time round in fact, really high level from our waitress. The cheesecake is just as amazing as I remembered and I will definitely drop by for it again when in London. Rest of the menu looks great too, only sampled the cake and the pancake this time which was also beautiful.
A once in a lifetime indulgent experience. Delectable cakes, how on earth were they made? Flavours exquisite, but you have to forget how much one mouthful costs.
I cant fault the food. It is simplest the best, apart from cheesecake is bit too rich for my taste.
But the service was what I had to mark it down. The staffs were all junior, chaotic. At two occasions, we were asked to move table as they miscalculated 2/3 for a table or sth.
I declined as we were eating in the middle of the meals. I feel this is a bit rude to interrupt our otherwise nice enjoyable afternoon tea.
The food was interesting and amusing
But the cake and bubbles experience is very overpriced . The addition of a glass of champagne at £10 marginaly improves this .We were also charged a 15% gratuity , even though it is stipulated at 12.5%.. As this was a special occasion we were too embarrassed to say anything.
This was a shame . The restaurant was busy but I do wonder if anyone goes back.
