It took 20 minutes and 2 waiters to figure out which dessert was vegan. A lot of insecurity on the dishes. The food menu was very dirty, even one had a dead mosquito in it.

Glad to have gone, been waiting a while and was very excited. But goats cheese in a cheesecake was not something I enjoyed and this was meant to be the star of the show. Other cakes were nice. We got a table outside which was again, nice.

This was a gift for my friends birthday. We do a lot of afternoon teas together and I saw this on Masterchef and thought it would be great. And it was. The atmosphere is lovely. Very elegant but chilled. Food was amazing.

We came in for a light lunch and we were there for two hours. We eat quickly. The food was cold and the service was so incredibly slow. Other guests were also suffering, going up to get their own drinks. I also heard some of the staff speaking ill of other guests. Won’t be going back.

You get a total of 2 little pastries, one rose (seriously?) and a cheesecake for £40 per person and that doesnt include the teas. Having been to most of London’s afternoon teas and cake places from £25 per person to £150 per person, I never felt more robbed.. Ambience is pretty much non existent as well. I’d avoid!

Everything was good, but we really missed the garlic bread they used to have. Also, the buttermilk chicken used to be great, and yesterday it was really not at all tasty. The chicken was raw and too spicy. At the end, we didn’t even eat it. I’m the other hand, the cheesecake and the spaghetti were wonderful. The service great and the place beautiful.

Please be aware the cake & bubbles can get very expensive very quickly. You get 4 very small cakes, one glass of champagne and a bubble for £50 and that’s it! The waiter then asked if we wanted a top up of champagne which is an additional £16 per glass. So in total £150 then having to go and find food elsewhere. The cakes and presentation are not spectacular enough to warrant such a high price tag. Very disappointing.

We visited Cakes & Bubbles yesterday and it was a truly outstanding experience. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 (well behaved!) children and the staff could not have been more accommodating in making our visit the best it could possibly be. Here a few highlights: We had booked two separate tables, but the manager got us seated together so we could share the experience. One of the adults accidentally knocked one on the golden eggs over as it arrived - we immediately got a new one! Our always attentive waiter have gave my daughter (7) a rose as we left - she has been beaming ever since. Aside from this incredible service, the puddings we had were fantastic. An experience which children and adults alike had been looking forward to immensely, more than lived up to the hype. Absolutely amazing.

The food was fun, creative and delicious! The service was friendly but a bit slow and inattentive - I had to work very hard to get the attention of waitstaff. The table was very small and we had trouble fitting everything on it. Nonetheless, I will definitely be going back for afternoon tea as the food was memorable and delicious.

Always a consistent standard, and very enjoyable for lunch. Accomplished food and an ideal lunch menu. The staff are lovely. It’s just nicely old-fashioned, and an institution, which just suits us. Efficient service, but we never feel hurried. Delicious champagne.
