The signature cheesecake and squid was Devine but the cocktail and charcuterie board I felt was not quite there with the level of standard
Beautiful decor and relaxed atmosphere. We chose the Sweet Afternoon Bubbles option with Veuve Cliquot at £50 each including the bubbles and 6 'cakes'. Our glasses were well-filled and the cakes all of very high quality. We particularly liked The Rose although it was just one tiny sphere. Personally we found the other 'cakes' overly based on cream and hence quite sickly, especially the final course (Cheese Cake) which we found so creamy and cheesy we couldn't eat it all. Overall it was a lovely venue, good quality cakes, and others who love cream may enjoy it, but otherwise we wouldn't rush back.
Had a really lovely lunch. I had the lobster ravioli, it was a small portion but one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. Lovely fresh lobster encased in pasta and the sauce with it was absolutely amazing.
The desserts were beautifully presented and were also delicious.
We had a really lovely visit and can highly recommend cakes and bubbles, it will remain a very pleasurable memory of our visit to London.
Special treat this and worth every penny. We did the afternoon experience of cakes and champagne for our wedding anniversary. We saw cakes & bubbles on master chef and had to go. It is hard to explain how the cakes taste I will let you try for yourself but let me tell you I have never tried anything like this before. What made it special for us was our final cake came out on a plate with happy anniversary written in chocolate next to it. Thank you for a perfect afternoon
Had a lovely experience. If I had one thing to say was surprised that an espresso was served in a tea cup but apart from that a delight.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the food was outstanding. Perfect place for a celebration
Went for our friends 40th. Staff were amazing and so attentive. Food although pricey was of a high standard and the pastries outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.
Loved this very lovely and inventive afternoon tea, highly recommend theses beautifully balanced cakes
The Sweet Afternoon Bubbles Menu with champagne is honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had. If you, or someone you know, has a love of food then this is the experience for you. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, explaining about each dish, how they are created and the best order to eat them. Their joy in the dishes they are bringing to you is evident and adds to the overall feeling of uniqueness to the menu. This menu is filled with absolute joy - we laughed with delight at the tastes being presented to us and gasped with the sheer brilliance of some of the combinations. I cannot recommend this highly enough and would say to anyone who is contemplating Cakes and Bubbles to book immediately - you will not regret it.
Very slow service. Drinks arrived ages before cakes so coffee cold by the time cake arrived. We liked one cake but not the other. So overall a bit disappointed and felt it was overpriced for an underwhelming experience
Fantastic food, lovely staff and a great atmosphere!
I was at Cakes and Bubbles with my husband to celebrate his birthday.
The cafe was delightful and the staff were so warm and friendly.
Great food and atmosphere - they even acknowledged his birthday with a little treat.
Perfect! I’d definitely return to Cakes and Bubbles.
Rich and indulgent dessert with great service. Our server was informative and attentive to our requests. Would happily return to try their other sweet treats.
The desserts are unbelievable and the whole experience was superb! Would highly recommend for anybody wishing to celebrate a special occasion in style.
Most of the staff were very friendly except for the doorman who greeted me as if I shouldn't be there. Apart from that everything was first rate.
The lady who served us was amazing!!
Was missing the savoury part of the afternoon tea experience
It was good experience although it’s a lil pricy but worth it! Definitely good instagramable spot!
These aren’t just desserts. They’re exquisite. We started with oysters and sliders so you can get small bites or lunch first, and then indulge in delicious and beautiful desserts. With champagne of course.
the food was very good but one of us had a black hair in our food and none of us have black hair so it was a bit off putting, everything else was good tho
An absolutely stunning experience. Some of the most phenomenal cakes I’ve ever tried, in a beautiful setting with fantastic service, I really can’t recommend cakes and bubbles enough
An absolute must do for the foodie or lover of desserts. Out of this world quality, flavours and imagination with top quality service.
The food was great, and the personnel were very attentive and nice. The only issue that we had is that our server disappeared in the middle of the meal, and it took ages for them to bring us our food. Pricey but good.
We had a lovely experience and the staff were amazing. Thank you!
I treated my sister to sweet afternoon bubbles for a late birthday celebration. The restaurant is beautifully set out, the staff were friendly and very understanding especially when I accidently dropped my lychee, raspberry and rosewater gel from my rose on the floor. The server got me another one. The desserts were stunning especially the cheesecake. and my sister recieved a happy birthday plate for her cheesecake. I would definitely come here again.
Amazing food and perfect location, I spent a very happy afternoon with my friends
We chose the set afternoon tea menu, which was simply fantastic!. The cakes were beautifully presented & so unique. Unlike anything i had seen or eaten before.
The service was great, lovely staff, who were happy to advise on the menu & clearly know the dishes well.
I think that £40 per head for a special occasion in London is not bad at all!. We had extra drinks, so it was more than that eventually, but it was my Husband’s birthday treat, so didn’t mind!.
Cakes and bubbles is fantastic for a birthday or special treat!. Would definitely go again!.
Best pud ever and lovely service. Thanks. A special day
Brilliant service and delicious desserts.
Not bad , egg recommend £6 for one
Only one dairy free option and it was made with chocolate
Not good service in the tables of the outdoor
Amazing food! The place is very beautiful and elegant!
The service was amazing,we had a perfect view of the world going by on Regent Street, the food was spectacular….would go again without a doubt, fantastic
Amazing sweet afternoon tea with a glass of champagne.
The cake menu is a lot smaller than it use to be but I guess Covid has something to do with that.
The service was slow and we ordered a bottle of champagne that we were left to refill ourselves which was a shame as there wasn't a waiter in sight. Dirty plates were left at the table and not collected until after we left.
Great venue - memorable experience - twist on the traditional AT, my girlfriend loved it, attentive staff and amazing central London location.
Perfect for people watching with a glass or two of fizz. Hats off to the general manager for the personal guided tour of the hotel and restaurants!
Overall the tea was very good but the service was a little slow and whilst the waiter was very pleasant it was almost impossible to understand his explanation of the sweet delights due to his mask and accent.
Was very disappointed as had booked this as a special birthday treat for my sister who has had a horrendous year. When I booked I had requested the roof garden, even called last Saturday to confirm booking and confirm roof garden. When we arrived were told only hotel guests allowed in roof garden! I said I had even called etc and was just told no, we will sit you on terrace. Well the terrace was the pavement with very noisy rd!! I then asked to be moved inside, which after a while we were. Service very slow, took 20 mins and 3 reminders to get bottle water we ordered. Then finally our other drinks. The food was amazing, got which I was very thankful otherwise the day would have been truly spoilt. Had I of been told when booking we could not book the roof garden, I would have booked to go to sky garden or similar afterwards! By this time was too late to do. I was upset as my sister has had a terrible year and this experience was supposed to really enjoy, felt very let down.
