Service started abut slow. We were first into the restaurant and ordered first but nothing came out till 25 mins. Whereas other table food keep coming. One table even finished eating when we just have our first dessert.
Food is great, but service could have been better and faster. When asked, they came out with excuse that the dessert need to wait for other dessert, which doesn't excuse the fact that our first one, the rose, took like 20 minutes.
Lovely venue, great staff and exquisite food served imaginatively. Almost every table seemed to be celebrating a Birthday!
We had the set menu with bubbles. It was presented beautifully and everything was delicious. The crispy pancake was also very special. We went pre theatre expecting the cakes to sustain us but even with an extra dish we had to top up with snacks at the theatre. Small desserts are a great idea to allow tastings but don’t rely on it for dinner.
Staff were nice and friendly, however orders were all put on one stand and not explained who had what as one person ordered the taster menu and others ordered individual items. Reservation made online - requested a special occasion (40th birthday) and nothing was done about it. Another table had singing and a bit of a fuss made however nothing at our table. Actual items of dessert were less than satisfactory , portions are absolutely tiny and not very exciting as you would think for a chef of that stature.
Delicious cheese cake!
Amazing dessert !
Beautiful in every way! Amazing champagne selection and delicious array of cakes. Can’t wait to go back!
For a special treat I can't recommend this place enough. The cakes are light with multi layered flavour and textures. The best we have eaten anywhere in the world. Worth the price.
Cakes were amazing and the waiter was very knowledgeable offering advice that was spot on about the food
We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation, but once seated service was great.
Mothering Sunday treat
Cakes and Bubbles was a lovely, laid back experience but possibly not as special as I had thought. We went to celebrate Mothers Day. I felt the service was slow- nearly 20 minutes before we were offered a drink, but the restaurant was busy. The desserts were different and delicious, especially the egg flan. It is expensive but as a treat it was worth it.
Took my mum for Mother’s Day. Everything was amazing. Especially the waitress Tekle (think her name is spelt wrong-sorry!) Tekle was one of the nicest waitresses I’ve ever met. She was friendly, knowledgeable (not patronising) and just so so lovely! She made mine and my mums afternoon tea a proper experience. So thank you!
Very good desert restaurant. I loved every single bite of it. The waitress Federica made the whole experience complete.
Nice idea for a treat - we popped in for dessert after having lunch elsewhere for my wife's birthday and had a great time. Nice decor, lovely sweets and champagne and easy going service (despite trying to place our food order through the sommelier...) Have just bought a voucher for my mum for mother's day!
Great food and service
Lovely cafe for a special occasion - decadent dessert restaurant with deliciously unique flavours and inventive presentation. Great service and beautiful decor.
Price way too high
Disappointed. Very unwelcoming doorman. Initial waitress very unfriendly.
Only saved by the food being tasty and a very nice second waitress.
I had been looking forward to visiting Cakes and Bubbles since i first heard about it many months ago and took my wife with me at the weekend. Oh how disappointed we were. The menu sounded fantastic so we ordered The Rose, Raspberry & Almond Eclair, Frozen Coconut and Chocolate Flower, Chocolate Cork, Air Pancake & Milk Banana Lime Cloud. They all looked amazing however the only one that made us go hmmm tasty was the raspberry and almond eclair. The rest were such a let down. It seemed like they were only half finished deserts and was missing something that would make them go bang. The staff were great and even offered us the cheesecake which we agreed to try. Again presentation was brilliant but the it was more cheese and crackers not cheesecake. The cheesecake itself tasted pretty similar to some of the other deserts we had earlier tried but again it was missing something. Mostly a liquid as it was pretty dry. I felt so downbeat when we left the place as this should have been the highlight of the day but it was not to be.
Perfect pastry, tasty cakes and beautiful ambiance. In our opinion, the staff was not helpful when it came to deciding what to order. Instead, they were putting pressure to us so that we decide what to order.
Nevertheless, the service woman that brought us the dishes was very nice and explained them very well.
We would come back for special occasions.
Brilliant, cannot recommend enough, would go back in a heartbeat
Beautiful, tasty cakes and the very best bubbles served in a lovely ambience.
Everything was great, from the welcoming to the food. The waiter was really nice and as soon as he noticed that we were speaking in Spanish he talked to us in our language.
The only thing that I would change is that it was a little too noisy for my taste.
it did not exceed my expectations, it actually just met them but I know I am choosy and spoiled when it comes to food. Location and design are nice, but it looks like being on display in Regent street, which is not so nice. The tasting menu was interesting although nothing outstanding and a couple of serving just okay. the staff was nice and professional, possibly a bit slow (the restaurant was far from full and we had to wait to order, to add an extra, to ask for and then to get the bill, but the progression of the tasting courses was perfect (thanks to the kitchen?). Interesting choice of champagne, I liked the predominat pinot meunier. I mgiht come back but not for the tasting menu.
Best hot chocolate in London. Always fun to go if 'm in Soho.
Ausgefallene Desserts, die ein Wiederkommen leicht machen
Legendary Cakes and Bubbles Albert Adrià 🍫🥥🍾simply stunning thank you 🙏
Enjoyable experience. Service was great and the desserts were delicious.
This isn't just a concept restaurant but a great little place for a delightful tasting experience of some wonderful treats, I guess Tapas Deserts. The hot chocolate was delicious the balance of Cocoa with cream was perfect, it tasted very smooth almost caramel. Every description given by the waiters and waitresses of the cakes was perfect as was the service. As you sit in the cafe you can watch the whole world go by. Thank you to the staff for a memorable afternoon.
When we get in I hade made a reservation no one was in the door and no one paid attention to me so I have to pass and to find for my friend by my self
I mean yes I could find the friend by my self is not a big Deal but why u have a reservation desk if is none there ?
The cakes overall is quite ti worthy for less taste nothing meets the price we paid
Definitely I won’t recommend it
Went for a special occasion. Overall it was very good but my youngest daughters non alcoholic champagne coast more per glass than my champagne?!
Great day out with the ladies - decadent and exquisite. Albert Adriá is a genius. Lovely attentive staff.
I had to go at least once to see what this Cakes & Bubbles was all about. I thought there would be a bit more substance to it though. I wasn't WOW-ed as I thought I'd be. I knew it'd be fancy and expensive and I wasn't disappointed on that. Not sure that is a place I would be looking forward to going back to.
The famous Cheese Cake isn't better than a standard Cheese Cake, especially for the 12£ it goes for.
We had 1 bottle of Prosecco for £48 + 3 various desserts (The Cheese Cake, the Rose and the Passion Fruit Tart) for another £23
Had a great time while I was there, everyone was lovely from the moment we entered until we left! Our hostess Ieva and waitress Sophia were both friendly through our experience and made some good suggestions on what to buy. The cheesecake was delicious, definitely coming back for seconds!
Great ambience. Food outstanding definitely a Wow factor
Exceptional experience, Cake & Bubbles is a great addition to London’s finest sweet afternoons, the dessert set menu, is well balanced and very clever executed, each desserts from start to the end are fun to eat. I love the game mind that is behind the concept of the dish, well done!! Hope that Albert Adrià will be opening a proper restaurant in the capital.
The service was attentive and professional not to intrusive, just perfect.
Thank you to the entire team
Great service, absolutely delicious cakes and lovely bubbles to match.
Excellent customer service; staff really knew and cared about what they served. High class, yet unpretentious. Quality at every level. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic couple of hours here that will stick with us for a long time. The prices may not be the lowest (and the final bill will probably make you raise an eyebrow), but I'd say the overall experience made it worth every penny!
Emperor’s Clothes. Go for afternoon at Brown’s, the Berkeley, or their ilk. You’ll pay a similar price but get much more value. The venue itself - a bit cold and sterile and very underwhelming vs the rest of the CR.
