Nice staff and service… food was ok… fish too much butter and schnitzel was huge (big enough to share.)… should have told us. Nice in sunshine… would go again and be more aware of what to order
No tables when we arrived, even though we had a boking. Was asked to wait for half an hour.
Great but got rained on 🥲
The meal was excellent and we were really lucky with the weather sitting outside. The service and staff were excellent it what is still a difficult scenario. The menu is more limited that normal and the prices notably higher but we were really happy with everything.
Food is amazing. Very comfortable terrace and good service
We used to love coming here for the food and ambience, but the food quality is definitely not as great as pre-pandemic, and the seats are nice when under the sun.
Ricardo and team were excellent and were producing the best results. well done
The service is always impeccable at Caldesi, the staff always polite and professional and friendly and the food is good too hut we felt the quality, compared to pre pandemic standards, has beeb lowered.
The focaccia at the table was super dry and the potatoes we ordered to go with the Milanese steak were still raw.
Also for what we ordered, and the number of guests, we got a bill for over £200 which felt excessive.
Maybe it’s due to the long months of unfortunately being closed for the pandemic but still would have expected much more or to pay a bit less than that
We had an enjoyable meal, food excellent as was the service.
Lovely food and great service. Wonderful to be out again.
Food is below average, outdoor seating Area is the best part about the experience
Quite expensive for what it was really.
They need to get more burners and blankets for outside eating.
Service adequate overall ok but not special.
One of my favourites... Great location, food and service x
We do love Caldesi and I know many that travel many miles to savour the delights of this family restaurant which has raised the
Great atmosphere, nice old school feeling and good service.
Celebrating a catch up with friends not seen for a few months.
Fantastic service, great food, very good value. Highly recommended.
Caldesi is always a treat to go to. The food is consistently excellent. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere is relaxed, informal and fun. To add to this, the staff have put good protocols in place for Covid, meaning you feel safe and secure while eating there.
This is a great place. Downstairs is a fun, relaxed place. Upstairs a bit more formal. The food in both places is superb and the services is friendly and helpful.
Excellent food in a nice area of London
This reservation was for Valentines night and was a special menu.
It was excellent all round but especially the food, which was superb. It is hard to pick any course that was better than the others but we did enjoy the halibut, lobster ravioli and dessert courses.
Very attentive service throughout and a memorable evening
Took over 3 hours to get all our courses, gap of nearly 90 mins between first and second course. They removed the service charge from our bill and all the staff were very nice but for £180 it was a really really poor value meal.
Everything we had was of the highest quality, from the fresh homemade focaccia bread to the excellent wines. My pappardelle al ragu was the best I’ve had outside of Italy. Great service, too, relaxed, yet attentive. This is an establishment that really cares about providing the best culinary experience for their customers. Enjoy!
Quick lunch with friends. Staff were friendly and polite. Food was lovely, I had the liver, yum. 😋
Wonderful food and attentive service as always, albeit the very busy downstairs meant that there was a long delay between courses when eating upstairs .
This is a New York style neighbourhood restuarant. The food is beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Service is charming and friendly. Marylebone Lane is a nice area to visit anyway, so worth a diversion.
Good food service and ambience
Food was delicious but service very slow. Pre Christmas so assume less staff.
Great food friendly staff not noisy and good value for money
They literally took the starter plates away and presented the main course in one move. No decent restaurant would do that?
Upstairs in the restaurant is always a nice experience. Sunday lunch a la carte or family tasting menu, both excellent. It has charm, good service, and an interesting Italian menu. Very nice.
You need to be hungry if eating at Caldesi as mains we had were great but big. Pleasant setting and great menu. Service was fine and would definitely go back for business or pleasure.
Excellent food, great location and not too expensive. Definitely wound recommend if you are looking for an Italian night out.
Lovely lunch, good food in a nice location with friendly service. Really authentic Italian food.
Excellent food and service in a refined environment thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
Expensive not worth the food
Pretty place nice waiters
Really good meal. Not the first time we’ve been but won’t be the last. Exquisitely cooked and well presented food. Very good wine list and comfortable service.
Wonderful meal in a quiet setting. Chef/owner greeted is after the meal. Talked for hours.
