I expected a better experience.
Had drinks at the bar during happy hour before sitting at the table.
Bartender charged us full prices. We notice the overcharge 1/2 way
through the night. They fixed the bill, but that was it.
Other high end steakhouses, where mistakes are made, usually over
The service and food was outstanding. The noise level was awful because the restaurant placed a table of about 12 women at a long table for a pre-arranged party. We were seated before the "group" arrived. the table was set up with balloons beforehand. the issue is that some large parties are inconsiderate and take over the space. that is what this group did. They walked around, they spoke to each other from one end of the table to another and monopolized the wait staff.
The entire staff was a pleasure. From the moment we walked in...to the time we left. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly.
The prime rib was fairly tasteless and a bit tough. All is alacarte and pricey. We don’t mind paying if the quality is good. We were regular patrons of Callaro’s under the previous owners and it was much better.
The food and the service was excellent. Steaks prepared just as ordered. Will be back for sure.
FABULOUS FOOD GREAT SERVICE NOISE LEVEL WAS ACCEPTABLE
Much too loud and noisy. They need sound tiles or other methods to soften the noise level.
The food was OK and the service was very good, but I would never come back because of the noise.
Worst ever they even ran out of potatoes. They should return our money! ☹️👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
The food & service were both very good. The only negative was the noise level.
Quickly becoming our go to favorite, however the noise level was such that it was almost impossible to have a conversation with people in our party except for the one right next to you. Not sure how they can remedy that... even the bar was shout level. But the food and service were very good.
Service was not at good restaurant level. 45 minutes just to get our salads
We had a birthday celebration on the day after Valentines in high season — a trifecta — and could barely get into a restaurant. We did get in to Calleros and had a very nice time. This is a casual steakhouse so the vibe is decidedly different from many other steakhouses. The wait staff, for example, are very familiar, informal. The menu was varied, food well prepared. I believe they were tapped out, service-wise, the wait staff were scampering about. I can’t lie, we did wait considerably for our orders. (At one point, the wait staffer brought out steak knives w the promise of food.) There was a very on-point manager watching over everything and everyone was trying but they were just really busy. It is perhaps better experienced with a lengthy meal on a slow day and lots of lingering. I’m just not sure. But we loved our steaks, the wine was good, desserts indulgent, staff kind.
We had a delicious steak dinner with excellent service from our waiter John. The manager Jerry was also very attentive and kind. Only criticism is the high noise level
The worst evening I have experienced in a very long time. the noise level was the worst, we could not here anyone at our table talk. The food came out warm,(not hot). Salad was just thrown on a plate. Never saw a server to fell up water or ask if we wished another drink. With no parking they had valet that charged, with only one person serving.
A nightmare that I can't forget fast enough.
Food was good. Noise level was horrible. It was impossible to enjoy the meal.
Excellent food and lovely atmosphere. Clean and modern. A little noisy but still enjoyable
I had booked this reservation on open table and specifically said it was a celebration for my husband’s birthday. It was not acknowledged at all. The food was very good however the place was so noisy that it was hard to talk to each other.
Horrible experience. We ordered the Valentines Day roasted artichoke special, a bone in ribeye, creamed spinach, and "half and half" potatoes.
All the tables around us were served bread upon seating; 25min later we still didn't have any, and we asked for it. Server told us "it's freshly baking for you"-- this was a lie as when it was served to us moments later it was cold, as was the roasted garlic it came with (and the ice cold butter). We also still hadn't gotten our artichoke, which we also asked about. Server comes back and says, the chef says he burned the first one and forgot to make a second one. They then brought out a lobster appetizer as an apology-- a nice gesture but I don't eat shellfish (and they didn't ask before bringing it out). Husband said lobster was cold and chewy, and glad we didn't pay for it. Then the artichoke arrived(40min after ordering). It was cold. It was also COVERED on breadcrumbs. I mean, there was easily an entire container of breadcrumbs on this 'choke. We scooped it out and it filled the bowl the 'choke came in.
Finally, an hour after we placed our dinner order, our mains arrived. Creamed spinach was over salted, as were the half and half-- cottage fries aka chips, and onion straws. The steak was massively undercooked. We ordered medium rare and the whole 30oz steak was rare, which was only made worse by the steak knives that couldn't cut through the steak. Eventually, Server came back around and asked me if I wanted to reheat any of the pieces to "be cooked to my liking", at which point I was so done with the entire experience, I said no. At that point, I was done eating.
Service from the server was terrible -- inattentive, frenetic, and left dishes on the table far too long (he was walking out section but seemingly avoiding us, because we literally had to yell for him). The busboys that came over at the end of the meal to box up the leftover steak were very nice though.
A thoroughly terrible dining experience.
We’ve been here before and the food was much better. We were very disappointed this time. Server was very good, but food needs work. Prime rib very fatty and chewy. One end of the lobster tail was raw, and they served fake butter with it, more like oil with butter mixed in. Asparagus was overcooked.
We had a wonderful dinner at Callaro’s Steakhouse. Our waiter John provided excellent service throughout the meal. He was extremely knowledgeable about the wine list and recommended a delicious red wine to have with our dinner. He was extremely attentive throughout the meal and made us feel at home. We will definitely be back and will certainly request John again.
Excellent NY strip, done perfectly med rare. Best steak I’ve had in a long time. Paired with an awesome Spanish red wine. Great atmosphere. Had a fabulous evening on our first visit there, and will definitely be back.
Great steak house in downtown Lake Worth!
We were told that there was a new chef. Since the restaurant considers itself to be a "steakhouse ", we suggest that the chef learn how to prepare a steak. We ordered filet mignon and the "cowboy " rib eye. The filet was ordered medium. It was served rare and was sent back. It was returned medium well...mostly well done and inedible. The rib eye was ordered medium rare and was served nearly raw. That too went back . We also shared a salad that had sharp onion chopped into it. A "sharing charge" was assessed for the salad and the enormous rib eye. Very "tacky ". There is very little positive to say other than this is a poor, overpriced place.
Only complaint I have is the volume in the room. The food and service was outstanding.
Enjoyed the treats and specials of Chef David Marana. Evan entertained and served us. Take Evan’s suggestions seriously: If it is a Chef Special, try it
All of the courses from seafood to steak were outstanding. Worth the $.
Everyone values you. The service is friendly and impeccable.
Found Callaro's on Open Table. It was conveniently located to the show we were seeing. We were greeted by Evan, our friendly and outstanding waiter. Callaro's new Chef had started only a couple of weeks earlier, an all of the food was outstanding. The roasted garlic on the Bread Board was a highlight. We will be returning to Callaro's in the future, and I highly recommend it.
Outstanding service food atmosphere
Great food .the steaks were supreme. Perfect temperature great taste Side dishes terrific all in all fabulous
I thought of this restaurant because every time it’s been great. This time it was bad. Even though it wasn’t crowded, they sat us next to a very boisterous foursome. I ordered the NY strip which was overdone and not flavorful. Teaches me to always get the Delmonico. Medium rare. Our server was excellent which made the rest of the evening go smoothly. I’ll give it one more try because you’re allowed one mess up.
Evan was fantastic! Gave great recommendations and was incredibly attentive. Food was spot on.
The interior was recently remodeled and impressive. It had a great atmosphere. The food was matched the atmosphere as well. My steak was prepared exactly as I requested and was delicious.
Our waitress “Cookie” was attentive, knowledgeable, and fun.
I look forward to coming back soon.
Menu too limited. The issue was further affected by the restaurant running out of veal dishes.
Excellent service and food. Sat at the bar.
Food was ok. Prices are high. Valet parking does NOT exist anymore. Street Parking hard to find!
Excellent meal. I had not been for a while and I am so glad I decided to go! The hot bead and roasted garlic started off the meal, the bread was warm and the garlic was delicious. Next the chopped salad which was also excellent. I ordered the Delmonico Pittsburgh style and it was done to perfection. Had a baked potato and the brussel sprouts which were also great. Save room for dessert, the bread pudding can't be beat! I promise you will love this place.
Fantastic meal....fabulous food....amazing service! By far one of the best places around! Hidden secret in Lake Worth!
We had to travel a bit to get here, but it was worth the drive. Food was great. Service people went above and beyond. We had a picky eater with us and they did everything to accommodate her. All three couple were very satisfied. I am actually going back tomorrow before the theater.
Food Quality had Dropped off so I went back only to meet friends! The steak was excellent but a$10 sharing
Charge seems excessive! Sorry the old Chopped Gorgonzola Salad and Potato Skins no longer served? WHY they were items that attracted customers and kept them coming back!! What happened to the 8oz sirloin??
Looks like with miner changes you could bring back some old reliable customers!!
Thank you Jerry! What a great meal - I’m definitely coming back. Hidden gem, great food, Fantastic wine list and best staff.
Thank you Andrew! SO happy you enjoyed your dining experience with us. We hope to see you for more chops and wine soon!
Wow. Bad , disappointment, waste. Waiter was overbearing and had ADD. FOOD WAS NOT COOKED PROPERLY AND HAS TO BE SENT BACK. NO UTENSILS ON TABLE, dishes were dropped , no salt or pepper on table and generally bland food. There are lots of places in palm beach area to pay 150.00 for 3 dinners. This is not one of them. I would give it a 2 out of 10.
