Well like it wasn't open. But other times I've gone it's been good craic
Very disappointing night. Though when the food came it was hot . One waitress on so service was very very slow. Not her fault. We were also told there were no chips? ! So fish and chips as most of us wanted shouldn't have been offered. I got a sickly sweet mojito tasted like ready made syrup. The manger did get me another one later after he went to buy mint. To be honest if you dont have ingredients shouldn't offer the cocktail in the first place. The noise was loud and gor louder which is to be expected when a dj in the house but we couldnt hear each other so definitely not a place for a group catching up. I appreciate manger making amends with cocktail but we wont be going back. Sorry
Was looking for a new place for lunch after the closure of previous lunch haunt, absolutely delighted to come across Camden Bites & Brews!
Quality of food served was very poor and not value for money.
Bought a deal for brunch and cocktails. Cocktails nice but food so horrific we had to leave without eating% As we were waiting on our food to arrive we began to notice the only two other tables in the venue at the time were sending the plates of food back to the kitchen.
Our food all arrived out cold and had to be sent back. One meal being nachos with cold mince meat and another being avocado toast with freezing cold eggs. The waitress arrived back out to say the chef said this is how these meals are as there are cold components so impossible to have it warm and asked if we wanted to pick something else instead. I have never been to a restaurant that would serve cold mince meat or poached eggs. There was only three small groups of people in the restaurant at the time so unsure why simple dishes could not be cooked after waiting quite a while.
The floor staff were absolutely lovely and I did feel bad for them as the chef seemed to be giving them a hard time when the food was being sent back.
There was a sign on the restaurant door saying they were hiring a chef so not sure if the guy working in the kitchen at the time was a chef.
Would not recommend!
Great as always! I just love this place, everything is amazing.
Great little spot - couple of things though....
1) Requested to be seated outdoors as this was one of the options on OpenTable - but didn't get it. Was inside on a sunny day which was rather disappointing.
2) The Toilets are disgusting. There are only 2 unisex toilets and each time I went, they were getting dirtier and dirtier - there was no sign of anyone going in and cleaning it up. It actually was the reason we left in the end as it was getting busier and between the queues, and the state of them - I just wasn't able.
Shame as it's a lovely place and could be better.
Good food with good prices. Service was excellent too. Limited menu, but perfect for bites with a cocktail.
Had a really great meal here. 3 of us shared a selection of plates which were all absolutely delicious. You could really taste the high quality ingredients used. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and the vibes were perfect for a chilled Saturday night. House wine was also delicious and everything was really reasonably priced. Will be back!
Great place for drinks, food and meeting friends - friendly and attentive staff.
Had my birthday party there and everybody loved it. The food was great and the bites/tapas size of the portions is perfect, so people can share and try different dishes. The staff was nice and very helpful. Highly recommend!
I normally don’t book a table at a pub. But this time I did because the birthday girl has broken her ankle a month ago and couldn’t just be standing around hoping for a seat. The first girl we spoke to, a blonde girl, when we arrived didn’t even know of my booking. Then when we did find someone who did the table reserved was outside in the cold. This was not specified in the booking. We had to wait and eventually the nice waitress, with the pink hair, found us seats inside. The food was good and she was very caring after that. Always coming around to see if everything was ok. Over all it was a good night but there are definitely things that need to change, starting with specifying that seating is outside and inside are mostly bar stools part from 2 tables.
Lovely food at reasonable prices
Service was absolutely terrible in Camden on Saturday. The first drink I ordered was a Bellini(which was on the menu) and I was asked 'What's a Bellini?'. When it arrived it was flat as if the prosecco had been left open for ages. Water jug and glasses were all visibly dirty and the staff were unhappy when we asked for new ones. We had to go up to order most of the drinks ourselves as no one came near us while we were eating and they brought the sharing food down with no plates or napkins(again we had go up ourselves to ask for them). I've had lunch there before and food was good but brunch last Saturday not up to standard at all. Definitely wouldn't go again particularly with the excellent choices that are nearby.
The reference to bites on the menu/sign, and the prices, would suggest the dishes are smaller. We ordered 3 bites each and hardly made a dent in them. It would be helpful it if the server could suggest the number of dishes per person, as they are much bigger than standard tapas. Good value overall if you ordered the correct amount
Loved everything about Camden, from the food to staff. Location is a winner, best place for people watching is sitting outside with a glass of vino.
Camden does offer delivery in partnership with Deliveroo.
Camden is rated 3.8 stars by 17 OpenTable diners.
Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting bookings at the moment.
