A constantly evolving menu that makes the most of Ireland's exceptional produce from land and sea.
Chef-Owner Padraic Hayden opened Camden Kitchen in 2010 after previously working in Head Chef positions in Dylan, 5 star Hotel in Dublin 4 and One Pico Restaurant Dublin 2.
Food in Camden Kitchen is fabulous. Service is excellent. A cosy and relaxed atmosphere makes the evening really enjoyable.
Great value, attentive staff, quality product. Would recommend
The waiter was very pushy to have our order quickly, which doesn’t help in triggering a good experience
Really fantastic food with wonderful service and a great atmosphere! Highly recommend!
An absolute gem of a restaurant, fantastic food with great service. Will definitely come back again.
We really enjoyed our meal. 3 of the group of 4 got the goats cheese to start and although delicious we felt the portion of goats cheese was too big (and without adequate amounts of the other components). 2 of us got the fish - it was beautifully cooked and the mash was so tasty. But it didn’t specify it had shellfish with it on the menu (or maybe it did And we didn’t catch it!) and although I really enjoyed the shellfish, my friend wasn’t as keen. The chicken I tasted was gorgeous. Desserts were really enjoyable. The service was brilliant and although we had a 2 hour sitting they didn’t rush us out. Would go again!!
Creative and beautiful preparations that we found delightful. The butternut squash soup with creme fraiche was lovely and bright. The Pan roasted chicken breast, gnocchi and mushrooms were a perfect combination
Delicious food as always! Beautiful presentation, efficient and smily service, cute restaurant with a lively atmosphere! Love it either with friends, or in couple
The bread was stale, the wine was warm, the room was roasting, the crowd was loud, and the food was mains were sub-par.
Best food I had during my short stay in Dublin. Charming and cozy and food was delicious.
Excellent food and exceptional service.
Poor service , even that restaurant was empty. Duck was great, soup also , but fish main dish was disappointing and oily
Each person at our table thought their main course was bland and flavorless. We were also sitting upstairs, which as hot and stuffy. Overall, not a nice experience
One of the better dining experiences I’ve had in the D8 area in the last few years. Will be back.
It wasn't great, but it wasn't awful either. We had a table upstairs, which was very warm and stuffy. They needed the air conditioning on, or at least the windows to be opened.
Our order was taken promptly and the appetisers arrived quick enough, however there was a very long wait for ours mains to arrive. They were tasty, but nothing we couldn't make at home ourselves.
We never really saw any of the staff coming upstairs to check on tables and when someone finally did, my husband ordered a second drink... but it never arrived. When our plates were cleared and dessert menus offered, we opted for the bill. The waitress scobbed.
Lovely seasonal food, great staff, will be going back again
There was a mix up with the reservation but the Maitre D was very helpful and managed to accommodate us without having to wait too long. We all enjoyed our food and had a lovely evening.
Would definitely go back
Best value for money in Ireland, as far as we're concerned. Excellent crispy duck leg. Loved the place.
Camden Kitchen used to be a fab little place but it's really just average now with overpriced greasy and overcooked food. I'd give it a miss. There are much much better places in the neighbourhood.
Booked at the last minute. I was in my own and they found me a quiet corner. The food was excellent like it is every time.
Great place. Nice staff and lovely food. Will go back again. Highly recommend.
Very tasty food!
Excellent and original food in a pleasant atmosphere - although the space is small, it is well laid out and you don't feel cramped. Very good value - just as good on this visit as on my two previous ones.
Lovely food and great staff! Would certainly recommend!
Lovely little bistrot to enjoy the lunch break eating nice food and converse without having to shout.
Great food and service always excellent! We even got a glass of prosceco as there was a delay with our table! Lovely night
A first visit, chosen on the basis of other diners’ positive reviews. Unfortunately this dining experience did not live up to expectations generated. The waiting staff were helpful in finding another table, having asked to be moved from the allocated table nearest the kitchen. The starters were OK but the duck leg main course was spoiled by being served on a bed of mashed potatoe. The tables are too close for comfort, the prices are probably average for Dublin, but unfortunately nothing would tempt me to return.
This was my third time dining at Camden Kitchen since Christmas but this occasion wasn't as outstanding as the previous two. While the service was excellent and the food well up to the mark, the overall ambience of the restaurant was spoiled by the music being played, in my opinion. On previous visits, the background music had been very mellow and suited to the small space of the downstairs dining room, usually jazz or easy-on-the-ear pop classics. This time, however, the music was unidentifiable and definitely not mellow but, worst of all, it was played with far too much bass which is just not conducive to conversation nor digestion. I did mention this to one of the waiters about halfway through our meal and requested that the bass at least be toned downed. Unfortunately, my request was ignored, so my rating for the restaurant on this occasion must reflect this. I'm sure I'll return fairly soon to Camden Kitchen since their cuisine is among the best in that part of Dublin. However, if it turns out to be decibel-heavy once more, that will probably be my final visit.
Food was lovely, hake was beautifully cooked.. staff were friendly and attentive..
Good food and nice staff. The service was friendly and efficient. I went with 2 other friends and we all enjoyed the night. I have eaten here before and would reccomend it.
We very much enjoyed food and ambiance in this trendy Dublin restaurant and sure recommend it for couples. Erik & Beryl
Service could have been better - we were one of two tables upstairs.
Ending Christmas celebrations with family could not have been better on Saturday in Camden Kitchen. Lovely gesture to mark Nollaig na mBan with a choice of either a dessert or glass of Prosecco at no charge for the ladies in the group! Food was absolutely delicious & beautifully presented. Nice, neighborhood vibe in a city centre location. Thank you! Will be back.
Really lovely spot and perfect for a group meal. Was my first time here and the service was wonderful, the food menu was a bit limited (it was Christmas-season so as expected) so would like to come back another time of year to try more.
Lovely restaurant, amazingly good food, very accommodating place and friendly Staff. They followed with me a day before to confirm the booking. I highly recommend the place to everyone.
Great experience, food, and drinks! Unfortunately we got shooed out by the waitstaff at exactly the 2-hour mark. 😢
Brilliant waiting staff. Great atmosphere. Want to go back tonight!!
Just love their food! The cod in ink risotto was delicious and the duck served with Puys lentils looked great too
Good quality food in a good ambience, cozy and quiet atmosphere. We'll be back!
