the squid ink rice - the main reason i go. love the flavours. it's a very lively place. good memories.
Fab food, lovely staff. We all had a great evening and will definitely go again!
If I lead a good life, I will die and wake up at the doors of Camino, where they will greet me with a fine glass of Rioja and my eternity will be spent enjoying cheese, meat and the lovely things they cram into their little plates. Seriously though, took an international colleague to my favourite spot on Bankside and didn't disappoint, really charming service, good food and a fine evening!
Really good tapas and great wine at reasonable prices. Good atmosphere. Great location- helpful service - all round good choice!
Great atmosphere on a Friday night. Food was delicious and the Sangria even better! Would definitely recommend for a relaxed dinner and a few drinks.
It was great. Amazing food, excellent service. I am allergic to gluten and bar a handful of menu options, was able to choose from 97% of the menu. The service is quick and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful.
After a stroll along the Southbank or a visit to the Tate Modern this place is a must
Lovely food, especially the black rice and huevos rotos. Tortilla was disappointing and could have done with some more vegetable dishes. That said, authentic experience, excellent service and nice décor.
We went to Camino for a wine masterclass and decided to stay for dinner afterwards. The place looks lovely but the food was rather disappointing. Nothing tasted bad but you would have much higher expectations looking at the place and menu. We got the special quail risotto which was good but tasted nothing like risotto. The croquettes had way too much cheese compared to normal Spanish croquettes and the honey/clementine/cicory salad was everything but a salad, just a couple leaves nicely arranged on the plate. Best thing we had was probably the tortilla.
Avoid calamari. Perhaps ok for quick meal but for tapas, tempo and order of dishes coming is seriously lacking.
Lovely place, great food and price is good too but service was not very good, had to request out wine 3 times as the waiter could not understand which wine we wanted.
Good choice of the usual tapas plus some interesting larger dishes.
Came here for a catch up with friends who were visiting. The food was very very good - couldn’t fault any of the dishes! Lovely wine and cocktails also. Would definitely come again
Very good but very loud but then the Thursday before Christmas, I guess it’s to be expected. Food and service excellent though.
Always brilliant never lets me down - one of my favourite places
Lovely Sunday lunch, suckling pig was delicious, thanks very much
Good food and service but many wines and some dishes not available.
Very nice atmosphere
Service was good but not overpowering
Thought it was a little overpriced but not overly so
Great food, service and ambience. Always a pleasure!
Lovely lunch, spend £20 on food and have bottomless G&t or cava was great deal and we took advantage of the offer. Croquettes and duck in particular were great dishes. Always love Camino, will be back
Due to train issues some of our group was late, but the service was exceptional in getting their food to them quickly.
Lovely tasty food
Nice place, quick service and good food.
We enjoyed our night out with family and friends.
lots of choice on the menu, service was great, attentive, friendly staff, octopus and duck were especially fantastic!
Arrive early but was able to be seated right away. Good came within minutes of ordering, staff were nice and the atmosphere was really nice. Recommended to go on the weekend rather than a week day (no city workers).
Nice food in an upbeat setting. Our first waitress was a little impatient even though I explained my fellow diners did not speak English as first language. She wasn't helpful in answering questions around the ingredients.
The staff, although friendly, weren’t very competent and had a poor grasp of English, which made ordering awkward.
Always a pleasure to meet up at Camino bankside!
The place was a bit too loud for my taste, but everything else was really good. Food, service is great. I would definitely recommend.
Food, drink and service all of excellent quality! Express lunch very good value!
Always a great experience to eat at Camino bankside. The food and the service are incredible!
First class food, first class service. I just felt that the restaurant itself is a bit open, not cosy like some of the tapas bars in Seville and the like. But then I am getting old. But our waiter and waitress were excellent and as the food was so good, then the ambience was not quite so important
We had a disappointing dinner here. The food was underwhelming, with some dishes we liked but several we didn't. For example, the calamari contained hardly any (mini) squid and was largely just tiny pieces of fried batter. The pork shoulder had far too much garlic.
However, the main problem was the service. We were ignored throughout the meal and no one came to ask if we wanted drinks, to clear dirty plates when we finished, to see if we wanted to order more (we ordered only 4 tapas initially and told the waitress we would order a second round, asking to keep a menu for this purpose).
Our waitress disappeared for long periods of time and we had to stop a colleague 3 times, to ask for cutlery/water/to order, and were told to ask someone else. In the end, we left without the additional drinks or dessert we had planned to order because we just wanted to leave. We would not go back.
Delicious food, good service. Would like a bigger table. The staff were lovely
Met with friend for bottomless Tapas, staff very attentive and friendly. Great place to go to catch up with friends.
We went here for pre-theatre dinner and the food and wine was awesome. Service was quick and responsiveness without being over the top. Great atmosphere and highly recommend Camino Bankside.
Ate at Caminos Bankside after theatre matinee. Evening sitting 18.30 so filled with after work clients. Very busy outside so had to wait a while between courses. Pick 4 tapas dishes between two. Very small servings at approx £8.50 each. Only 1 Lamb small cutlet for £9.50! Bland taste in most dishes.
No bottomless sangria as we expected.
Really not impressed
Great service - very helpful advice on food choices. We ate early on Saturday eve, and it wasn't busy, so we could linger on outside table without any worries. Really enjoyed it, and am planning to return.
Camino was perfectly acceptable, but I would never choose this when Tapas Brindisa is also an option! The food pales in comparison...it may also be the Bankside location, as I remember visiting in Kings Cross and liking it more.
Best Spanish Food in London!
