The food was nice but the potions are very small so it’s not good value for money . They are not generous with bread which is a shame.
Great tapas and attentive service. A bit loud in the restaurant when the bar is busy, but a great place for food, wine and company. The tapas choice is varied with excellent sauces and attention to detail.
The restaurant was very quiet on a Saturday evening. Service was ok. I thought the tapas were expensive given their relatively small size
Good restaurant. Dishes come a bit quick which makes it less relaxing tan it could be but other than that, good vale, fantastic services and good food
Was nice food but very over priced so very small dishes. Cocktails were nice and most of the food did taste well
My first visit to Camino. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Attentive service and with a smile. I was entertaining a business client and he also said that he enjoyed the Camino experience. I am a regular visiyor to Spain so I can say the food was authentic. Just add some sunshine and a beach next time.
This is the second time I've been to Camino. On entry, we were not attended by anyone for some time which was irritating. The waiting staff did not mention that someone would be with us soon. Once seated, the first thing we noticed was that it was very noisy. It was really hard to have a conversation. The food and drinks were good, and arrived promptly. We were not offered deserts or tea etc but the waiting staff did ask several times if we were finished with our food and it seemed that they were anxious for us to leave. Food was good, but service is dissppointing.
I've liked Camino for a long time. I do get a bit fretful if they change the menu - thankfully, this doesn't mean they ditch the classics, so it's still a safe bet.
Chicken - with some amazing sauce with chipotle; warning - it's addictive. Duck - tender as anything. Tomato bread - always superb.
Added attraction on this occasion were cocktails. I've had a few [?!] espresso martinis in the past year or two........wow, this was the very best.
Staff were welcoming and efficient.
OK, we probably spent a bit more than we set out to, but with a decent bottle of tempranillo, £40 a head is decent value, for a reunion with a lovely comrade. We strolled along the South Bank in a slightly tipsy and very garlicky haze. Perfect.
Tasty & reliable Spanish cuisine, in a pleasant location.
Music from the bar made conversation almost impossible, so for dinner with four other friends after a visit to the Tate, this didn't really work for us.
For a young crowd after work on a Friday night, probably great.......
everything was really good up to the point where we were not given a sweet But we were not worried as we had had far too much anyway
My only problem was hen we came to pay for the wine and coffee we ordered
The meal was aPart of a Virgin experience and the food itself was paid for
We were asked to pay for a wine we had not ordered and the cost of the food
This took some time to sort but we still PAID a 12% service on the whole cost of which we were only liable for£20.50
Because it was a treat for my wife on her birthday I did not make a issue of it
But so saying we would go again
Good food, reasonable price and nice atmosphere. No issue in altering table size from original booking
Great food. Good value. Lovely atmosphere. This was our 3rd time here and we will definitely be coming back again.
Went before the theatre, can eat a decent meal in an hour and a half. Quite loud and busy on a Friday night. Staff were a mixed bag some helpful some not. The food was very tasty.
Chose Camino for some Sunday night tapas - although it is a chain, the food was surprisingly good, the black rice and the special (braised veal with lentils) were particular highlighlights. All the veggie choices we had were tasty, only the patatas bravas were a bit underwhelming. Service was friendly and helpful, food arrived very quickly. Reasonable choice of wines and beer too.
Nice range of tapas - all tasty but nothing blew me away. Good location right next to Tate Modern. Would certainly go back.
Thought it was overpriced foe the quality of the food. Won't go back again.
Nice selection of good quality tapas and an excellent glass of wine - just right for pre theatre dinner
The food here is absolutely first class and is excellent value. My third time here (and certainly not my last) and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Good food, good wine, excellent service and very good value for money.
I was not expecting the high-level of the food. I was very impressed. The octopus, the gambas and the rib eye were excellent! The service is very good and quick. In a sunny day, with the outdoor terrace, is a very good place to be!
We had an amazing meal here, very authentic Spanish Tapas, so much to choose from, it was hard to pick only 6 dishes! Highly recommend the black label iberico ham - it literally melted in your mouth! Great, friendly service and a good ambience.
Attentive and friendly staff. Good quality tasty food. Nice decor. Would recommend for anyone who likes a bit of Tapas.
Food was fine, as was the service. But why accept reservations for dinner at 2215 (and indeed 2230) if last orders for the kitchen are at 2230? Ended up being a not-cheap case of order/eat/leave asap....
Good Food, wine and Atmosphere, Would recommend to friends and hope to visit again in the future!
Booked a late dinner with my family on a Friday night after watching a play at the nearby Shakespeare's Globe.
The good: food was great.
The bad: TOO LOUD at that time of night, probably because most patrons are already drunk. My young niece was miserable from the loud noise so we requested a table outside, but was turned down because they say they closed that section already. Not accommodating at all!
Not recommended for families.
Awful! So very noisy and food was no where near as good as last time we went to Camino at Kings Cross. And scruffy looking as well. We could leave quickly enough. Lovely staff just cannot compensate for so many faults. Best avoided.
I loved Camino so much that I actually went with my dad there 2 nights in a row. My dad also went back for a third meal for lunch the next day. Such great tapas - we loved all the food and the amazing drinks. Really recommend the Twisted Root drink 👍🏻
Lovely food and not badly priced wine for London. Camino is a lovely restaurant, perfect for tapas following the Tate Picasso exhibition! Service was quick, but a bit to quick to clear the table while we were still eating - probably wanted the table for another customer - so we felt a bit rushed, but the waitress was very friendly.
Food was amazing, really easy to order and explained by the really helpful staff.
Only down side is smoking at the tables when sitting outside.
It’s really simple. Go across the road if you want to smoke
Great fresh Spanish tapas place with seating outside, wonderful in the hot weather!
Wonderful food and wine and not too expensive....great value. The staff were great, friendly and so helpful. Looking forward to returning.
Lovely staff and atmosphere, would highly recommend for the sharing plates and the service. Great alfresco dining area too!
This is what it is. Casual dining. It’s perfectly good for a quick bite to eat but don’t confuse it with an authentic tapas offering. The food is perfectly adequate but not great. If you’re after a quick bite to eat it’s fine. It’s quick, service is very polite. It’s clean and the seating is comfortable. It would probably appeal to groups as well who want an easy after work option
Fantastic way to end a trip to the Tate Modern! Just out the back door, the food is authentic Spanish, good value and worth a visit!
I can't fault the food at all: best tapas I've had in London. The service was friendly, if a tiny bit slow. My only complaint was the large screen TV outside showing Wimbledon. It was as if flood lights were being shone into the restaurant every time a bright image was shown onscreen. In addition, it was very loud. But that meant it was lively, which was good too.
Food was fantastic, we had a number of dishes but most notable were the baby squid, spinach salad, black pudding, bass ceviche and the meatballs. Service was a bit slow (although food came out really quickly), but to be fair it was busy with the after work drinks crowd. Love this restaurant would definitely recommend it, especially if you are planning on doing a Tate Late.
Had a lovely lunch with friends in the terrace watching the World Cup. Very good authentic tapas and fair price! Good jamon iberico.
Loved it and cannot wait to go back! Great food and a real Spanish G&T
Great food and friendly service!
