From the OpenTable editors: This massive open-flame restaurant charmed diners with fire pits, a wall decorated with camping gear, and warm communal vibes when it opened in 2016. It still has powerhouse status thanks to an excellent craft cocktail program and seasonal wood-fired masterpieces, which could include fire-roasted octopus with green harissa or smoked coffee-rubbed brisket.

At Campfire, we do something special for all groups of 7-12 guests, as we invite large parties to gather together and feast. The Feast is a fixed four-course, family-style meal priced at $80 per guest. You won’t have to make any decisions, as we'll take care of everything, cooking up some of our favorite dishes from every section of the menu. If your group includes young children, please email hello@thisiscampfire.com for help with your booking. Cancellations may be made up to 24 hours in advance of your reservation. Same day cancellations are not eligible for refunds. Tax and 20% Gratuity applied at checkout.

This is one of the best restaurants around. We ordered the porridge bread, the broccoli, the carrots, the pork chops, the steak, the chicken and the pasta. It was all so great. Colorful and full of flavor. The drinks were also excellent. Thanks for a great bday night.

Paid $300, 3 people (2 adults, 1 12 year old). No alcoholic beverages. If we go back, we will only order one steak and potatoes and share amongst the three of us. Would have been plenty after the first two courses. Would have only ordered one cornbread vice two and tried the mixed vegetables. The lamb ribs were not overly spectacular, but the broccoli was great.

Clay, Skye & Zach were exceptional ambassadors of hospitality! Amazing service & food! Don’t miss Lamb Ribs, Cornbread, Crudo or Chicken! Beverage program is the best in Carlsbad!

The customer service is Michelin star level. The food is phenomenal, and the ambiance is on point. I love the outdoor seating, and the open kitchen is fascinating to observe. Drew is a wonderful and knowledgeable bartender, and we thoroughly enjoyed getting a chance to talk to him. We will most definitely be back again. Kudos to the whole Campfire team!

Fantastic service. Fish entrée was excellent. Broccoli and carrot sides were good but not great. Drinks were also good but not great. S’mores were excellent. Overall, a good experience, but for the price… Not a good value.
