Cantina Laredo Ratings and Reviews
The food was delicious and my American wife said it tasted like authentic Mexican food and was better than a lot of Mexican places she has eaten out at in the USA. The cocktails were generous with some tasty but unusual combinations. The only gripe is the portions should be bigger for the price.
Cantina Laredo is a great place to dine out with friends with a lovely atmosphere & great service. This was my second visit and I will definitely be coming back for more. The guacamole prepared at the table is a lovely touch & the margueritas are fab!! We had a brilliant night out.
Been several times after finding this restaurant by chance... steaks are awesome, as is the guacamole... and margaritas... a little pricey... but on par for central London. Great food - one of my favourite places to eat in London - I've never been disappointed!
Great Mexican food option near Covent Garden serving quality dishes with a kind of contemporary twist on Mexican cuisine. Small size portions - so choose couple of them to enjoy different food. Choice of nice starters, and great fajitas after. Very attentive and kind service.
Two visits for me:
Visit 1 - I visited a few years ago. I remember the crowd being smart but trendy and the cocktails amazing
Visit 2 (date of review) - I loved it!
I was served by Sonia and her manager, Amanda, with two of my friends. Both of whom didn't like their meals (bad luck I think, I loved it all!). They ordered again and both Sonia and Amanda were incredibly patient with us. Not only that but they waived the cost of those meals.
When we asked for recommendations that did not upset at all. It's safe to say that the replaced meals were fantastic options.
The value for money is great, the cocktails are still fantastic too! They've also got great incentives for you to return with weekend offers and theatre menus.
The atmosphere is welcoming and not pretentious as well, a little bird told me that a refurbishment is starting in September.
I will certainly be returning soon.
Booked the pre-theatre menu. Food was excellent value and really tasty. Service was really speedy which was great as we were heading to the theatre. We were a large group and split over 2 tables but this was not an issue as the service was efficient. Will definitely go back.
Delicious, fresh and authentic Mexican. The guacamole was fab, as were my enchiladas which were light, fresh and not smothered in cheese. Desert was the highlight though! Churros are super light, fluffy, fresh and simply the best I've ever come across. The chocolate brownie is their speciality and would quite possibly on my last meal request! Fantastic all round.
Really excellent in all ways: interesting food and loved starter prepared at table. Very friendly and professional staff. Could not fault them in any way. Only gripe was cost of small glass of wine, almost £8, but realise one pays for location. Would recommend strongly.
Lovely inside, tables not squashed together , music not loud so you could chat easily, friendly service, not overbearing, food very nice, menu explained to understand what you could have, as different offers were available.
food really delicious.
Would easily go back again, seemed to suit all types of groups, family, friends and tourists.
Booked last minute and was pleasantly surprised. The food and drinks were great, and we loved the guacamole being made fresh at the table. The service was quick and it made the whole experience 5 star. One of the best meals we've had in a long time, have already recommended to friends.
