Our head chef, Demetris, carefully planned his menu taking influences from different regions in Greece and Cyprus and bringing them together for Irish people.
Cape Greko is named after the beautiful Cape Greko peninsula in Cyprus. We have taken inspiration from this area and attempt to recreate the beauty and simplicity in our restaurant.
Cape Greko’s logo is an amphora. Amphoræ are jars with narrow necks and two handles, used by ancient Greeks for transporting oil or wine.
Cape Greko is a fully licensed restaurant selling wines, beers, spirits and cocktails
The food was very good. We enjoyed both our starters and main courses and we had a lovely bottle of wine.
The service however needs attention. There were two young staff on their own and it seemed like they hadn’t been sufficiently trained. There was no manager on duty or at least we didn’t see anybody else than the two waiting staff who at times were on the phones being distracted from the customers. In my opinion the owner should invest in their training and the standard would go up considerably.
Really good Greek food, seating is not the nicest and could do with a little rethink, overall experience was excellent, will definitely be back again, staff exceptionally nice. Love the Mezes starters and my son really liked his chicken wings and steak.
Always a great night at Cape Greko, attentive staff and great food with a sophisticated family friendly atmosphere. Will return again.
We were refused service, as the owner decided that the amount of food we had ordered (sharing platter for 2 plus 2 additional appetizers and a caraffe of red wine) wasn't enough. We had already been served the wine before being informed that we would be refused service unless ordering more food. This was a disgraceful experience I've never experienced elsewhere, and I wouldn't recommend anyone going here.
Lovely food and wine, one of my favourite restaurants in Malahide
We visited this restaurant a number of years ago on a trip to Malahide and had a wonderful meal. We were not disappointed this time either. The food is excellent, and the service very efficient and friendly
Lovely meal and great service as usual
No allergen menu which is a legal requirement so I was nervous with my food choices and trusting the waitresses knowledge.
We were disappointed with this restaurant that had been recommended to us by a friend. We were placed along the wall in a length of tables that were so close to each other we could hear everything our 'neighbour's' were saying! There certainly was nothing intimate about this restaurant, which greatly lacked ambiance. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly, however her manager was unfriendly. The food was disappointing, very plain with little flair or imagination. We ordered two glasses of Italian red wine and it was really good. We've eaten in Greek restaurants in Canada and Bath, UK and we loved them for their gorgeous food which was really flavorsome but sorry to say Cape Greko disappointed.
Great service and fantastic food definitely be back 5 out of 5 !
Both my friend and I are coeliac and our dietary needs were catered for. Would have no hesitation in recommending Cafe Greko. 100% awarded for all categories.
The food and service were second to none. I will be booking again and bringing friends
1st time there, staff very friendly and accommodating.
Food was really nice, good presentation & taste.
Wine complimented the meal very well.
Nice atmosphere and nice decor.
Good experience there overall
Been going to Cape Greko since it opened in 2004/2005. Never disappoints. Great food, convivial owner, good value for money. Great for casual family dining. Bring back the Lamb Shanks !
We have been to the restaurant on a number of occasions and it has been beautiful. We even had our son's communion. All food tastes like it has been cooked for just you
I've been eating at Cape Greko for almost 10 years now. Beautiful food, great service and the decor is very welcoming. Adrian and the team are brilliant. Would highly recommend.
Delicious as always!
Nice food, friendly service and fast. Normal ambience, nothing special, could have a touch of Greece but not even a piece of decoration or music. Just a typical irish restaurant serving greece food. A bit overpriced.
Everything from start to finish was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and courteous. They had a great manner and did not make us feel rushed at all. The food was incredible, such great choice and it tasted incredible. I will definitely be back.
Very disappointed with management behaviour and especially the tone and how they handle the booking.
Cape Greko is a favourite restaurant for many years. In fact, when we moved and returned after years the staff still remembered us. The traditional Cypriote and Greek food tastes great! Well worth the drive. It is located on the first floor looking out over a park in Malahide with the Marina as background.
Four of us dined at Cape Greko last week. The food was absolutely delicious. 4 different starters, 4 different mains, all very tasty. Very reasonably priced and generous portions. We will all definitely be going back.
Fab night out on Friday 23rd with work food was lovely staff were so friendly was perfect
The food is amazing the steaks are amazing I highly recommend them. Staff are lovely and friendly too .
Quality food, reasonably priced in a good ambiance. Not rushed at all despite being a Saturday evening.
Visit this restaurant a few times and a year and it never fails. Very reasonable early bird menu and they are always very accommodating with children. Favourites include the vine leaves and moussaka
Lovely choice on the Early Bird Menu (available up till 7pm). I'd say approx 10 choices on each of the starter and main courses. Good wine selection. Staff were very friendly too.
This was a first visit to Cafe Greko and it was a very enjoyable experience. The food is tasty, well presented and has an authentic Greek character. We chose the Meze starter to share which was really tasty. Main courses were very generous - we both chose Souvlakia. No room for dessert! A reasonably priced wine list (rare these days in Dublin!) and friendly service made for an enjoyable dining experience. I’d be happy to recommend Cafe Greko.
Good food. Efficient service.
We went to this restaurant 8 years ago for lunch and it was very good, however, we were disappointed with our dinner in August this year. The starters; vegetarian and meat meze were good however the main courses were mediocre i.e. prawn kebabs were burnt, pork meatballs were bland. The staff never smiled and came to give us our main courses but hadn't cleared our starters, I also asked for water twice before it was served. The gave us a cocktail menu and I ordered a mojito only to be told that only the manager could make cocktails and they weren't working that night. The place was clean and the atmosphere was good but service and food mediocre - wouldn't go there again.
Great food, all four in our party had a fabulous meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely eat here again.
Excellent food and service, as always. Early bird is good value.
Fantastic food & great service, very friendly, one of my favourite places!
Good Value food Great selection on the menu something for all tastes
Fabulous fresh and flavoursome authentic Greek food - highly recommend the Lamb Tava, mixed Souvlaki and Baklava!!!! Excellent variety of food and wine available. A relaxed environment with friendly and attentive staff.
Lovely food and super value early bird.
Only complaint is other guests with small children who were noisy, clearly overtired or past bedtime but staff were very accommodating.
Service was not great - the staff looked miserable and it took alot of waving to get their attention.
The starters were very nice (seafood meze to share) however the mains were not great. The prawn dish was supposed to have ouzo in the sauce but you couldn't taste it, it was just cream and far too heavy. The chicken stuffed eith feta and olives came breaded deep fried covered in garlic butter. This was not stated on the menu and the garlic eas too over powering.
The staff were only friendly when we were leaving and didn't enquire as to how was our meal despite lots left on the plate. Perhaps we were unlucky but I wouldn't be rushing back or recommending it.
Love this restaurant. Have visited many times and it never disappoints. Very relaxing, delicious food & staff don't rush you out.
Amazing food, service very good and they have nice craft beer! Love it there, our new favourite place for sure!
We went for an early bird and overall it was fine, nothing spectacular. It is not children friendly restaurant, on the first floor and hard to bring a stroller up. Food was good, loved grilled feta cheese and lamb kebab but musaka wasnt as good as I ate before. Service was slow and felt like in Greece, lol. Overall fine for a quick bite or lunch, definitely good value for the money.
