If all that wasn't enough, Capeesh boasts a unique Sky Bar in Canary Wharf (one of the highest bars in London) to take you amongst the dizzying heights of Canary Wharf's towering skyscrapers with Panoramic views of London. This is 21st century Italian dining done right in incomparable and inimitable style in Canary Wharf, London
We had to wait for 15 minutes for our booked table to be ready. It is extremely noisy in the restaurant and was hard to have a conversation. My steak was so bad I had to send it back and only ended up having a starter. For an anniversary dinner it was an extremely disappointing experience and would never recommend this restaurant to anybody.
I had a booking on Saturday 18th of May at 7:30pm for 11 people. On arrival our table wasn't ready and they moved a table whilst we was getting ready to sit. I had to ask for more menus and a drinks menu as the waitress was trying to get our drink order before we could even look! Anyhow the evening went on food, drinks came but service was fairly poor because I had to keep trying to get staff attention for other standard things ( water for the table condiments etc). I tried to get the bill waited about 15 minutes for that and I asked 6 times before I got it. As it was my birthday I wanted to buy all the drinks and my meal and asked her to take that off the bill (£180 approx), so she then came with the revised bill for my friends to split between them. We all then got up to leave and we was going to head to the sky bar. We was stopped bang in the middle of the restaurant with the manager saying we haven't paid all our bill and we are not to leave until we pay. I said we paid the bill that was given to our table and I do not understand why he has now embarrassed me and my party in front of the whole restaurant. He then said that we was given the wrong bill with no apologies and with a very unprofessional manner. I said to him unfortunately that is your mistake and this is something that he could have dealt with differently. After another 15 minutes of him not allowing us to leave and still causing a scene in the restaurant he rushed off over to the door supervisors and told them that we are not allowed to go up to the sky bar. Where I'm sure we all would have still spent a great deal of more money in their establishment. The manager was hounding us down for an extra £20 and bearing in mind we spent over £400 in the time we spent there. How embarrassing all round and especially on his part. So I wouldn't want to come back to Capeesh and I definitely do not recommend going. He treated us like we were criminals!!!
It was great. Food was delicious. Great service and I just loved the happy hour great drinks. Definitely coming back really soon
I did reserve an outdoor seat for two people but latter when I arrived , I was told the outdoor seat is only available during summer . I believe they need to remove the outdoor seat option on their reservation slot.
Overall , my friend and I enjoyed it . The calamari starter was delicious and the main course : Gamberetti with King prawns is beyond my expectation . It was not dry neither was the pasta too caliente just the way I like them .
I am sure I will be back soon
The food was good and also the service but, we didn’t like the service in the end, they served us the coffee before the dessert so we needed to remember them to bring the dessert.
Poor service, poor food, really disgusting toilets.
Restaurant was very busy but good service and good atmosphere.
I loved it here. Food was nice and tasty. Nice restaurant and the sky bar is lovely! London's best kept secret
Great night out and the food was excellent. Definitely going again
All was perfect from the welcome to the dessert. The place is great too.
Excellent Restaurant with good attentive service and delicious food. Good value for money with Canary Wharf location.
Super yummy food, everything was perfect. They even made a fuss of my husband as it was his birthday, thank you for that! Would definitely recommend.
Went on a girls evening out with 4 of us eating with Capeesh on a Saturday evening. Waiter was attentive but allowed us the time to chat and catch up over the meal.
Great service, reasonable prices and excellent location.
Salmon was good but the carbonara was dripping in sauce. £5 for 3 sweet potatoe wedges is out if order. Pretty normal Italian menu. Basic cocktail @£10 is a bit much.
Very lovely. Great Italian food. Sky bar pretty chic
I came for my Birthday dinner, service was top notch, waiters were extremely attentive and accommodating.
Food was Amazing!
Would highly recommend. However.m, this was for my engagement in the skybar. I ordered 2 glasses of Prosecco to be on the table for when I arrived. And of course it wasn’t there. The bar in the skybar wasn’t ready for service when I arrived at 17:10 and it opens at 17:00.
Food was beautiful however for myself, who preordered drinks and was told I didn’t need to pre-pay as it was for a small item, they then had no idea that it was ordered and did spoil the start of the evening.
The food was lovely but the service left a lot to be desired. Service was slow and not very friendly. Staff were quite rude.
Service was super slow. Took them 25 min to come and take our order, forgot our drinks. Then would take ages to come back or bring the dessert menu.
The food was delicious but def let down with the service
One of my favourite restaurants. Always go there for any kind of event - date night, birthday dinner even just a late night dinner with friends. The food is always amazing and the stafff super friendly
The waiter within the restaurant forgot my order and when I chose not to pay service charge for the service one of the staff wanted to argue even though the charge is optional. However the skybar had better service and lovely views.
Too loud and not very intimate- the food was overpriced and not very inspiring. 2 big loud ladies Nights did help either. Will NOT comeback again
Good food, reasonable prices and an excellent staff!
After waiting for 25 minutes for someone to take a drinks order, we had to ask someone to serve us. There was an extremely large party in celebrating very loudly by passing bottles of spirits around which demanded a lot of the staff. Our server complained that we all wanted different drinks which took another 30 minutes to come. Totally unable to cope with large groups.
There was a very loud group of people which disturbed all the other people dining , is sounded like being at a football match with all the shouting. The food was not great either.
Very nice pasta. Portions were also quite big! Value for money option and nice environment!
Great food, really enjoyed the atmosphere. Would recommend!
The waiter was very attentive and the food was amazing
The set up was really nice . Would definitely come back
Great Sky Bar experience on the forty something floor before a good tasty meal with reasonably priced drinks as well as food for this part of London
The food was okay and priced fairly.
The restaurant was cold though. The staff also sat and ate in the restaurant before/after shifts. Something was also delivered via a supermarket trolley to the kitchen also.
Lovely environment with great customer service. Not loud so is peaceful and great food
Had a lovely meal here. The Tagliatelle al Tartufo was rich and the cannelloni was also excellent. Staff were welcoming and the service was attentive.
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday ad we both pleased with the restaurant. Really affordable food, good portion sizes and food tasted really good. I called up the restaurant beforehand to let them that it was my boyfriend's birthday and they accommodated us adequately. We ordered a dessert and they added a candle, added a 'happy birthday' message on the plate and the staff gathered round to sing him happy birthday. Thanks Capeesh!
My personal experience of capeesh restaurant didn't live up to expectations. It wasn't the restaurant's fault, i just expected something else. The food was nice, can't fault it. The service was pleasant. You could tell they weren't seasoned waitstaff (well, that's how it came across to me) but you could tell they were trying their best, which is all i ask for in a waitstaff. I went for a late dinner on a Saturday night and i found it lacked atmosphere/ambience.
There's a bar/lounge upstairs on the 42nd or so floor. But it is only a small bar/lounge area but it's a nice enough place to have a few drinks so definitely worth a visit.
Overall, it is a nice enough restaurant. It was a pleasant enough experience. My high expectations were brought on by the restaurant's website. It is all glamorous and oversells itself for what it actually is...a family owned version of zizzi's.
Oustanding service, the waiter was very funny and bubbly; food was amazing and really good music and atmosphere!
Good venue to eat, nice food, good vibe on new years eve.
On the downside i would appreciate if i do come back in the future that the waiter doesn’t harass me to pay for my food by following me outside on two separate occasions when we went to smoke.
Lovely atmosphere manager/owner was lovely made us feel very comfortable. Male waiter that served my table was very polite and attentive, there was one female waitress in particular that looked like she did not want to be there and her attitude wasn’t great. Food was DELICIOUS I will definitely be back again and telling even more friends about CAPEESH. Thank you again.
Lovely restaurant with tasty food and very friendly staff. Looking forward tonmy next visit there.
Located in a residence of flats in the Canary Wharf district. Ambiance is slightly dull, although we visited in December. It looks like it may have a vibrant patio scene in the summer. The food was very good as was the service. Federico brought his personal touch which was appreciated. Like the fact it is family run.
Great unobtrusive service and great food. Couple of downsides, tables packed in so no privacy but perhaps due to Christmas party season, can't be sure. Plus, on the night, the sound system, sound quality and volume was all over the place, not sure if it was a novice on the sound desk but it did improve. Raise the sound levels, people raise their voices, it's not rocket science, so best kept at an optimum level.
