Would not recommend service generally was terrible booked a table for 6 got a call at ten to 6 saying they were overbooked and rescheduled us to 6:15 got a seat about 6:25 waited another ten minutes for an order
To be taken food was fine but the experience was terrible and we won’t ever be back - disappointing for my daughter who was there for her 12th birthday
Good food, ambient and reasonable prices and time of wait. Will definitely come back! Thank you!
The server never came over to us to check if everything was ok. We were left waiting an hour for our food and when it came out we were left short of items and items we cancelled were brought out also and we cancelled them when the order was taken. I spoke to a manager who was really helpful and sorted it out for me.
Food was great, waitress was outstanding, was a very busy Saturday evening. I was perplexed to see one of the servers wearing her mask on her chin though.
I thought the food was good but very overpriced for burger and chips
Captain America lovely fair food outstanding service and lovely atmosphere
Waitress was lovely and friendly however a fair wait between courses. Table of 4 but 2 meals served and other 2 left waiting! First 2 finished before food for rest of group was served.
Food was good and no one left hungry or disatisfied
Excellent. I all was recommended Captain America 🇺🇸
Wasn’t opened and gave me no warning that my reservation was cancelled. It didn’t send me any text that the restaurant was closed I showed up and a note was on the door saying there closed and then I had to find somewhere else for me and my friend to eat last minute in her birthday
Staff are funny and nice, good atmosphere good prices for food and drinks. Overall I’d definitely be going there again and I’d recommend it to everyone
The food was sooo good...... and staff were so friendly and helpful 😍
We visited Captain Americas on Saturday evening. The staff were helpful and very attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner and the restaurant have put great Covid procedures in place. The food was a little expensive but its nice to go there for a treat.
Disappointing. To be fair the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The service was poor, we had our starter for about 3 minutes before given cutlery and were finished it before our drinks were brought over. The chicken gougeons were very over cooked they were difficult to cut they were that hard. Won’t be back.
Food was perfect. Most staff members couldn't seem to wear there masks correctly . Masks below noses and at times under chin ! Surely when the service industry is crying out for people to support them the least they can do is wear a mask correctly . Pina colada was undrinkable just crushed ice .
Food was wsy way way better than our last visit ten years ago where we were served uncooked onion rings, mediocre meals. We only went back as we got a gift card from my husband's work. Food and services has improved 200 percent. Glad we went back.
Food was average, chicken cooked okay but not that hot. Ribs were this side of cremated. Service was slow and less than enthusiastic. Tea was warm but at least the cold dessert was cold.
Took 50 minutes after our starters to wait for our main course which was just a burger. It wasn’t that busy as we noticed. We then asked for the bill and we waited 15 minutes and no one came to us until we had to find out ourselves that we had to go up to the top of the restaurant to pay. No one told us we don’t pay at the table we pay at the top. It was our first and last time here.
Poor. Chips not great and burger meat dry and prob a reheat.
Food is gone very, very poor and portions aren’t great. Long wait times for food to arrive. Chips were over cooked, fish was soggy, wings had hardly any sauce and kids chicken meal was over cooked for a child to try eat.
Overall very disappointing, this was once a firm favourite with the family but we wouldn’t be in a rush back at all, total waste of money!!
Excellent spot for food and great adherence to cleanliness around covid
Staff are nice and very accommodating. Relly nice time there
Excellent service and great food. I was a bit sad the credit card terminal i used to pay my bill with didn't ask me to leave a tip, and i had no cash on me to tip the staff..
Service is so poor. Got our starters and waited 10 mins for cutlery. Asked 3 servers for them. Got our main and had to ask for cutlery again. This time was handed forks and asked would that do? The kitchen had no knives I was told. One of us ordered chic ceaser salad and it came with no sauce despite the menu showing a creamy ceaser salad. The waitress told me that ceaser salad always comes dry there. The waitress offered a manager to speak with us but none came... allowed to change main but we had all finished our food before she got her main. Had to call staff all the time to get served. The staff stood in a little area chatting and laughing while guests waited to be looked after. Not very professional and very disorganised. A restaurant with no cutlery for the customers is just crazy.
Great service good food 🍲
Will return and it was quiet
We used to be regular diners at captain America’s Blanchardstown but will not be returning as the standard and quality of service has dropped drastically since covid lockdown .
We found none of the staff have been fully trained for covid as we had to ask to be moved because our seats were pressed up against other customers with no room to pull out chairs and had to ask to be moved to one of several empty boots.
We had to wait 25 minutes to order drinks and when we finished our meals had to wait another 30 minutes and ask staff member to remove the empty plates.
We had asked for a drink at 10.20 but wad informed by the waitress that the barman was not in the mood so bar was closed only for her to return 5 minutes later with drinks as we were about to leave and to be told we were lucky! There was ample staff but you cannot get there attention as they are all standing around bar chatting.
Really enjoyed the meal and the server was excellent
Pretty standard burgers. Lots of staff around but hard to get their attention to order.
Disappointed that there isn't more of Elephant and Castle items on the menu. But, the wings are delicious
Awful dining experience. Food wasn't great for prices. I got easi singles on my tasteless chilli burger!!! Chips thrown on the plate. Nachos were all broken and bitty. Were actually told no cutlery available as so busy. No joke!!! Waitress slammed our refill on table after asking for it 3 times and bill was incorrect. Will never visit again had two bday kids with us which we had advised about. Nothing done. Why ask at booking if we have a celebration!! Absolutely crap dining experience
Waited a long time to be served order more drinks waited 20 minutes and they never came. Had to cancel drinks table never cleared off
Service was slow. Drinks took ages. Sauces missing, had to ask for them more than 3 times.
Wings and chips were nice but the reat of the food wasn't great (2 x burgers) both hard and overcooked and fajitas which were overpowered by one spice or herb and guac /salsa were bland
Service was great
Food was fab
Will definitely be back!!
Food was really tasty and enjoyable! We absolutely loved our meals!
We had a wonderful time. Excellent service and a great selection. Looking forward to our next visit!
Great service , very attentive and friendly. we each had Rib eye steaks , cooked exactly the way we asked.
I had expected a fast food experience but was pleasantly surprised
Recently had a family meal at Captain Americas In Blanchardstown. Service was OK (It was a bust time) - he food was at best -all right.
Ordered the potato skins to start, which only turned out to be A SKIN.
Then had the Big Smoke Burger. The burger comes loaded with cheese, onion strips and smoked bacon. Well, the onion strips and bacon were cold. The chees had obvisouly melted on teh meat and then felt like it had been let go cold beofre being reheated. The patty iteself was excellent.
Howvere the whole thing was sitting on a bed of grease.
Was a bit dissapointed to say the least.
Great food and quick service, will definitely be going again
Drinks took forever to arrive. When they did 1 was wrong. 1 person ordered a starter & it arrived with the mains...cold so was sent back.
We understand with covid service has changed. Pre covid we ate here regularly but after last night Iww would be in 2 minds about returning
Family of 5 . Easy to book table online. Service was really good. Food was great and enjoyed by all. Good value for money. Would definitely go back again
Friendly staff, food was nice and appropriate price. Music was a little too loud . Recommend booking ur table early as it gets really busy
